If you're of a certain age, the name Puma will mean a totally different type of Ford. Sadly, coupe variants aren't as in demand compared to crossovers these days so suck it up and get on board with the 2020 version of what Ford has given the Puma name to.
Small crossovers tend to offer more clever tricks than full on crossovers whether it's an extendable rear bench or in this case, a Mega Box in the boot.
The version in this video is an ST-Line X which means it has all but a potent ST engine but with 125ps, there's loads on tap here all things being said. €27, 917 is the starting price of the ST-Line while the most basic Puma comes in at €25,243 plus Ford Ireland have some pretty good offers on at the moment - savings of up to €3,150 on selected models, low APR loan packages and the extra peace of mind of 7 years warranty and 7 years roadside assistance. Just got my Puma ST Line X yesterday in magnetic grey. I also had the original Puma in silver. Absolutely LOVE the new Puma. I even prefer it to my previous 2 Series BMW!!

Huge congrats on the 10k subs! Well deserving! Nice review, lovely car... not sure on the ST line being worth it. The ST is gunna be an absolute hoot if it’s anything like the Fiesta. That mega box really is great for kids!
So that boot and the usb in the rear view mirror, two good ideas for 2020. Megabox handy to keep fish fresh . Me think I'll hold out for the Peugeot 3008 ;)

Good god don’t do it! I had a hire car recently which was a brand new 3008 and like most Peugeots it was a rattle box! Rattle rattle rattle as it went down the road. Ended up having to have the RAC out to it TWICE in two days! I swear they’re made from coke tins

Great review Nobby! What I also liked was that you gave us the fuel consumption in MPG for us like me in the North who watches your videos regularly as it saved me from looking it up on one of the calculator sites to convert l/100km to mpg. Must admit it'd be a bit out of my price bracket at least in brand new form no matter what the trim level but might make a good second hand buy though I've a feeling it may be a little too small for me as I like to be able to get my bike in the back of the car with the seats folded down which I can do with my Kadjar, not sure that'd be feasible with the Puma plus I'd happily forgo the megabox for a spare wheel which I know is something most new cars don't come with but I have first hand experience of the puncture repair kits with one of my wife's previous car, suffice to say said puncture repair kits are about as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike. Nice looking car too though I remember the Puma when it was a coupe, something in 1.7 Yamaha developed engine form I lusted after but could never afford due to the insurance grouping at the time.
I will try to remember to include mpg from now on :)
Agree on the spare wheel but seems to be the way of the world now.

Regarding the spare wheel yeah I know tho' even in those cars that don't have a spare wheel there's usually a space for one but in the case of the Puma that isn't even a possibility for if my Kadjar hadn't had one I'd have got one from a scrapyard as a wheel from a qashqai or even Renault Mégane will fit, Happily tho' as I said I have one. Bottom line, keep up the good work as I regularly watch your videos and indeed Bob Flavin's as well.

@@NobbyOnCars I enjoy your reviews, very detailed and informative. The romanian Ford factory building the Ford Eco Sport also. And in the past they manufactured FordTransit Connect (untill 2012) and Ford B-Max ('till 2017). But before Ford , that factory produced cars for Daewoo.
@@NobbyOnCars a brief history and I'm done. I don't want to be boring... The factory was founded in 1976 as the Oltcit joint venture company between the Romanian government (64%) and Citroën (36%). The factory produced cars under the Oltcit and Citroën brands for the domestic and external markets.
In 1994, the company decided to go into partnership (49%-51%) with Korean company Daewoo Heavy Industries (later Daewoo Motors) as Rodae Automobile. After producing the Oltcit between 1981-1996, the company started producing the Tico, Cielo, Matiz, Nubira II and Espero.
Excellent review! The Blue oval on form! Would be great if you get opportunity to test ST version. However why not go Focus ST Line? That said Puma is now " everywhere" in UK. Stay safe.

If Ford USA brings the Puma ST to North America, I'd buy one! Has to be with manual transmission since Ford's 6 speed gearbox is good and it's always more fun with a manual IMO!

What the hell is the horsepower on this car
Man, this is ST-line, not ST. I'm a Ford fan forever and like this car, but I think You praise it too much. And in real life One would struggle to get 5l/100km on a daily basis, except (maybe) smooth ride outside town at 90km/h. The engine is 3 cylinder turbo petrol and it can't be as smooth as a diesel or a higher capacity petrol, but it can be very fun, if You know Your way around it. As the whole car is. Cool and fun.
