Even with TWINDRILLS' permission they couldn't get the rights to use her vocals for the games. UTAU also has no legal or real technical standing on the matter.

I feel like both Miku's and Teto's version are strong and powerful in its own way. I loved the buildup in Miku's version more but I love the high notes in Teto's x3
This is amazing. Especially when kyaami adds an airy sound to Teto's head voice sections. That's what adds realism to the sound. That natural airyness that needs to be understood, and usually it's only by people who sing, or are trained vocalists who will know and recognize this. But to make the connection that it was something that could be added artificially to a Vocaloid is where kyaami's skills really shine. Damn. I never even thought about that.

Teto was originally an April Fool's joke, and Ryo was laughed at for using Vocaloid software for its intended use, which was being treated as a joke at the time with meme-like songs, such as the Ievan Polkka bit. But look at what happened: Ryo almost single-handedly created a whole genre of community-made music, and Teto has since become a fan favorite.
I absolutely agree. Recently, I did a track search on Soundcloud using her Japanese name (重音テト) and I was really impressed by the sheer amount of quality Teto songs and covers I found.

If you look closely at the lyrics, she is basically helping ryo by telling him to express his emotions with her voice. All the pain that he haa been going through, she encouraged him to let her be his voice. Even though a lot of people think her voice is ear-grating and awful, she still wants to help him express his emotions through song. She sang about how they worked hard together, how she was proud of him and how she understands him and thinks of him as a kind person. To ryo, she wasn't simply a virtual person who simply sings, but she was his friend. She was by him through his time of depression, and after 3 years ryo created this song, his final song before his retirement. This is their song, and that should be respected. I'm sorry if im being annoying, im sure people will still disagree, but this is the true meaning of this song. So pls dont hate the other ver.
