Nice job with the camera, Post's gal pal😊! I'm betting hanging out with Post is never boring! We hear the joy in his voice , and we're glad your there with him!
Beautiful scenery - how many miles on average to you drive each month to take us on these adventures? It's really appreciated, love your videos, thanks for sharing x
For him to get to the Canadian boarder, probably six hours or less each way. Say four-six hours to Maine.. wayyyy over one hundred miles each way. New Hampshire is like one an a half hours- two hours.. Over one hundred miles a day when he goes to these video locations...
Just something to think about Post. My mom was never allergic to poison ivy or oak. One day we were cleaning out some of the property here and she cleared out a bunch of it. The next day she broke out like crazy. Went to her Dr. and he told her you can become allergic after some time. Just a word of caution to stay clear as much as you can and limit your contact.
Agreed. I could practically roll in poison ivy as a kid. Then one day in my early 20's, I barely brushed up against some and it was horrible. So strange how that works. Take care Post! :)
on a hikingtrain on Madeira found a blocked culvert with heavy flow over the trail. it was kind of satisfying to unclog it and see the water on the trail flow backward immediately to the now unclogged culvert.
I gotta admit, as a mother, I am very glad to see you aren't out doing this potentially hazardous work on your own. Still loving the videos though. Great work!!

Hey post, you could actually get a nice and compact e-tool/folding shovel/pick on amazon or probably even somewhere local that fits into a pouch that can go on a belt or in a backpack. Since you do your unclogging diligently everywhere, that could be useful.
This is some really nice scenery. Watching you unclog culverts is very satisfying and enjoyable. I like the sound of running water. Cute the way you said Yay! Thanks for the fun video and stay safe..
With water mills, it's not untypical for there to be a "leat" - an artificial watercourse that keeps flowing water higher than its natural (river bed) level. In some implementations, the leat is upstream of the mill pond and in others it is downstream - I have seen both arrangements. Either way, its purpose is to maximise the drop at the race; hence more force to turn the mill wheel.

When I visit my mother & sister, I'll show them this video. We used to visit Dahlonega & Ellijay, Georgia every fall, not just to see the leaves, but to get apples & other goodies, especially boiled & parched peanuts. We still go, but not so much as a family unit anymore, as my sister's children are all grown & have grown children of their own & most have moved out of Georgia. But we do have wonderful memories. Thanks Post 10 for this video, as it helped to bring back those memories.

Hard to imagine what that place would have looked liked in 1882 when those culvert pipes were laid down.
1882: 139 years ago - incredible. One of my grandparents was born about that time.
The amazing thing is look at how good a job was done, nothing is built to even close that workmanship
I hope you enjoyed your time at Sholan Farms! My family used to own it a long time ago, and it warms my heart to see it is still going strong. =)

Our city did not care about culverts either until a car went into one at 100 KM/H and sued. All of a sudden most of them got replaced
it's always not a problem until it is with local governments. It's a bit sad they just can't do their work instead or rather pay for it to get done.
