- In this tutorial I show how to download a KOReader One-click package and an install script for Mac, and then install KOReader on my Kobo Libra H2O. KOReader is a ebook launcher / UI for E Ink devices. Supported file formats include EPUB, PDF, DjVu, XPS, CBT, CBZ, FB2, PDB, TXT, HTML, RTF, CHM, DOC, MOBI and ZIP files. It’s available for Kindle, Kobo, PocketBook, Android and desktop Linux. Works great. It makes your e-reader really snappy and fast, and it adds a lot more features than it originally has. There is install scripts available for Mac, Windows, Linux.

Thank you so much for this! I was so confused with the instructions on the forum, but this video was so incredibly clear and easy to follow along. I really appreciate it!
This worked perfectly, I had literally no idea what I was doing, thank you!
Thanks a lot. I am thinking of buying a kobo but was afraid installing koreader would be too difficult. One question, is it possible to translate whole sentences in koreader (like you can do in kindle) ? If yes, with what engine ? thanks :)
Thank you thank you thank you!! I've been reading every single forum for help- I have zero knowledge on programming and I could not get it to work. This video is so clear and easy to follow and it worked perfectly- THANK YOU. Will you post a video showing how to download books wirelessly from the Calibre Library without using a USB? Also, do you know if there is any way to sort books by publishing date on the device using Koreader?
Don't forget to leave KOBO plugged in after ejecting/unmounting! Made that mistake the first time haha
Koreader is the reason I kept my Kobo Libra 2. I read manga in CBZ format. With the stock software the chapters of all the different manga are mixed together and you’ll have to make collections for each manga. With Koreader, all I have to do is put the chapters for each manga in the same folder.
by only installing KOreader one can not read books on kobo device one has to add books to koreader coz old books are not shown on koreader becoz of this i have installed and uninstalled KOreader several times as i had not seen my old books
Thanks! I just installed KoReader on my Libra 2 and I love it! Do you know how to export your notes/annotations?
Hi, I haven't tried this yet but the video looks easy to follow and promising. My mom has a kobo h2o libra but we HATE that the meta data from Calibre doesn't transfer to the Kobo. I change the title of the book (in the metadata) to include the series info for the book but it does not transfer over to the kobo when I drop it from my desktop to the Kobo. I did that to make it easier for her to find the next book in the series she wants to read. I also have an old Sony ereader that I love but it does not support the collections any longer from Calibre. I was wondering if KOreader would work on my old Sony. What do you think? And I think we are going to try KOreader on my moms Kobo and see if we can do a better job with transferring the books to folders and book titles that work better for her.
KOreader is so amazing, I want to thanks all the people who spends their time trying to solve, improve and work hard to transform a shit software in a goodlooking guy... Thank you so much. Lot of hours of reading with pleasure. It's incredible! Awesome
hi, if you have previous settings and books on your kobo and installed koreader, will the setting and the read progress disappear?
I'm kinda worried that it will damage my Kobo in some way or another or slow it down / create issues
What are the differences between KOReader, Plato and Nickel Menu?
Thank you so much ❤
Do you notice that KOreader discharges your reader 4-5 times more than stock firmware? Maybe it can be fixed somehow?
I don't know if I'm just being really stupid but I hit a brick wall already at step 2. I downloaded the one-click package with no issues but I can't see any way to download the install script for windows. When I click on it, it opens the script in another tab but I cannot see any option to download (even if i right click on the link it doesn't give me any option to download). I tried the mac link out of curiosity and that downloaded immediately so it seems to be a problem only with the windows script. Can you advise me how to download this script rather than simply just opening it in a new tab? I can obviously save the page that opens but then it just downloads it as text which is maybe not what is needed. Sorry if this is a basic question, I appreciate the help
Thanks for the video. But I got lost at "Enter the number corresponding to the one you want to install: " What should I put there? The same "a" as you put there?
I can't connect my kobo glo hd anymore with my windows pc with a USB cable. The device is not detected.
tried to do this on a tolino vision5, but when running install.command , it says that no kobo is mounted. Is this not possible with tolino vision (which is actually a kobo ) ?
Many thanks! However, we can see you clicked on 2 files to download them, but in the folder we could notice 3.. Where can be downloaded this thid file? (named KFM mac zip....)
