There is a method for separately routing the recovered audio from the receiver connected to the vertically polarized antenna and the receiver connected to the horizontally polarized antenna to the left and right channel of the headphones at the same time. This method is called diversity reception. This method helps with QSB.

At night, when 40 meters is really noisy, I’ll use my hustler 6BTV on antenna 1 and my hexx on antenna 2 in tracking mode. I use my hexx as a receive antenna and it works like a charm!!!

Yeah Mike I’ve been using it every morning and the other day when I was net control I actually heard it working and it was pretty amazing. I had signal fade In one ear 👂 and the other compensated for it! Best 73.

I have watched both of your brilliant videos and set up my IC7610 the same, currently running a Gap Titan DX and a SteppIR Urban Beam set as my antennas. But with poor propagation atm Im not hearing much

Hi Michael, the bands have been poor, but on 20 meters during the day you should be hearing stations. How is it with one antenna at a time?

@@HamRadioAdventures its fine, but I'm finding it better running the differential system. I will know more by next week, the Urban is only 6 metres above ground, it's going up another 4 metres Friday and all RG58 is being replaced with RG8. I'll let you know how it goes 73 from VK6MMB

The setup is really not correct. You see that the secondary receiver has a stronger signal than the primary. It should be the other way around. And, the secondary must be physically removed from the primary. If they both hear the sam exact signal, then they would cancel each other out

Hi, in this video I was using a inverted V and a vertical wire (Inverted L). See more here www.k0pir.us/icom-7610-diversity-reception/ 73!
