Yes... you can use SDRuno with your Icom 7610. I first saw this on Groups.io. I believe Max, IK0TIX first posted it. There are a few different ways to get this working, but here is how I got it working on my Win10 PC.
I'm an Amateur Radio enthusiast. I love the hobby and experimenting with radios, antennas and software. I have a lot of fun. On my UA-cam channel I upload videos mostly on the Icom 7300 and Icom 7610 as well as Ham Radio software programs. I hope to inspire people to get involved in Amateur Radio.

Hi Rich, will the 7610 work with SDR Console? Via Omnirig?

It's nice to hear from you and thank you for commenting. This was just a hack and gives some idea of what SDRuno is. I don't remember trying it with OmniRig. I would like to expand on this project when I get back home to South Dakota. Thanks for watching and sorry I am not much help from my portable setup in Alabama. 73 and good DX! de Rich K0PIR

SDR is an area I haven't tinkered with much. Good video. I'll have to dig deeper. Just subbed you.

Hey Richard, thanks for the video! I had installed HDSDR and SDRuno and they both run perfectly. BUT although the frequency of the Radio, the Tune and the LO are all synced when using the radio dial or mouse-wheel, that sync is lost if I click on the scope!
The Radio & LO remain synchronised, but the SDRuno Tune Frequency moves independently to where you've clicked. Any ideas how to get all 3 to sync?? I'm using latest software, drivers, etc.

Hi Tom, it's nice to hear from you and thanks for commenting here. It could be just a setting in SDR Uno. It took me a while to figure it out and I like SDR Uno, but it wasn't made for this. I think what I'll do is add the SDR Play to my radio when I get back home. I hope you can find the setting. I'm camping in AZ and don't have access to the eq. Best wishes to you and yours. 73!

There's a few features missing in SDRuno when running it in EXTIO without a SDRPlay hooked up. Wonder if it's possible to have a 7610 hooked up to a SDRPlay with SDRuno.

Hi James, good to hear from you and yes you can, but I don't believe it's possible to connect the SDRplay directly to the RX out on the radio. I forget, but there is another piece of the puzzle we need. I may do that at some point. Thanks and best73!

Does sdruno require hdsdr. I use sdruno with my rsp1a and ftdx1200 but an really looking at a 7610. I don’t want to lose sdruno because I love it

    • @HamRadioAdventures

AFAIK, unfortunately with the 7610 it is not possible to just add the RSP1A to the RX out. See this for the explanation ua-cam.com/video/_94SBDvTQfQ/v-deo.html

If you have an sdr like the rsp1a can that be connected to the 7610. Does the 7610 have an out like let’s say the bored you can buy for the 7300 or the yaesu ftdx3000. I am looking at the 7610 to purchase but don’t simply want to mirror the screen. Thanks for any help

Nice to hear from you Kevin and I am sorry to say, it's not as simple as plug and play with the 7610. You will need to have a look at this ua-cam.com/video/_94SBDvTQfQ/v-deo.html What I like about the 7610 is using HDSDR amd CW Skimmer. See ua-cam.com/video/c7hyRo9Ab1g/v-deo.html

Now what is SDRUNO best used for? Is it used in place of HRD.
In the opening of the video I heard my friend Larry putting out calls on 14.332. I also do the same.
Now I use WEBSRD Utah as a RX to help with calls when I do nets. You should check in one day.
    14.332 1900z to 2100z.
    Happy Holidays

Hi John, I am using it like the Spectrum Scope on the Icom 7610. It's bigger and better though. It lets me find free frequencies and strong signals quickly. Not a replacement for HRD though. I hope HRD improves their Panadapter. I will check in with you. I am on the radio more nowadays. Merry Christmas and 73!

I must have missed something despite watching the video 3 times. After following your instructions , when I run extio.dll as an administrator I get an error message saying could not find FTD3XX.dll even though I copied and pasted it in to Documents . I also copied and pasted that file in to the SDRuno folder just in case it would work there, same issue. I have the 7610 working fine with HDSDR and also SDRuno working with an SDRyplay Duo. . The Icom 7610 does show up in the list when I boot SDR EXTIO DLL but the can't find ftd3xx.dll error pops up also.

Andrew O'Brien Hello and I hope all is well where you are. I apologize. You may have to copy the files into two places. Have a look at the article and the original poster. it will show the exact path to drop those files into. Two places. Maybe that’s what the problem is. Does it work with the 7300?

    • @HamRadioAdventures
      @HamRadioAdventures  4 роки тому

Paul's Computer and Radio Yes you can use an external SDR with the ICOM 7300. In that case I would just go ahead and get an SDRPlay and have two great receivers. See more info here www.k0pir.us/icom-7300-panadapter-dxpatrol-mini-circuits-splitter-hdsdr/ 73!

Got it now, THANKS. Another ham pointed out a key mistake. I failed to copy the extio.dll as a FOLDER within Documents and then place the FTd3XX.dll in that sub-folder. As is good now. 73 de Andy K3UK
