Hello there, wondering if you use the vostro 7590. Whenever I attempt to play movies that I have downloaded on this laptop, through VLC or windows media player there is a considerable amount of stutter. I could use my old laptop from eight years ago, and this is not present at all. Wondering if you might have any good suggestions on how to combat this? Thanks in advance!
Hi there, yes the Vostro 7590 is what I am using. Ok, try the following: 1. Update any Windows updates. 2. Update the Nvidia Geforce Driver. 3. Open "Task Manager", under "Processes" something may be using up to much resources that doesn't need to be. Example: Google Chrome. 4. Update the laptop using the include Dell software "Support Assist". 5. Google "Intel Driver & Support Assistant", type in your computer info (or it may detect it automatically) and download updates. 6. Trying Defragmenting and also Disk Cleanup. Sometimes these laptops run hot, so make sure it's got plenty of airflow. Hope this helps. :)
