This channel is exactly the type of casual silver conversation I crave. Perfect for drives to and from work, as well as leaving on in the background while organizing the stack! Thank you for your content, sir.
For me the 10 oz bars are best for stacking. In the last dip I picked 3 each of my favorite bars, the 10 oz Britannia. Prior to that my RCM and Sunshine bars were my go to bars. Wife was born in Texas so she had no issues with the Texas Mint bars I purchased. My LCS prefers bars in their original plastic. Spot is all I expect if I were to sell, less than that just walk away.
The one hundred dollar bill of stacking ✊After 2 months of stacking I’ve got 28 Fleur de lis 10oz bars, I’m looking to get to 40 bars by the end of year. I sure am having stacking my totals after 2 months 9.1/332 gold /Sliver ❤️
Love this video. It's impressive to hear you unpack aspects of silver stacking with consideration of complex perspectives without politically opining. I appreciate that your videos include factual perspectives of differences in silver items from several aspects which may lend to more robust predictive returns among "sellable-silver." This is a great teaching method. Best to you.
I like 10, 20, kilos oz bars. I like engerlhard, Scottsdale, Matthey Johnson. I like bars with serial number. I want another 20 oz and may bar I want to get is a 100oz bar. Good video
Working on upping my bar game. I have 60 oz. in 10-ounce bars spread out among RCM, Asahi, a 10 oz. Highland Mint Buffalo bar, and an Una & the Lion from the Royal Mint. I love the RCM bars the best, but I would like to start picking up those Academy stacking bars. 👌
I'm not a fan of poured, but after buying one and feeling the savings in doing so. I'm more likely to not buy any minted +/ milled bars now. I'm my area the 500g poured is cheaper than the 10oz minted. So for me poured bar wins.
I just ordered 10 10 oz bars. I went to 3 shops in my area and 10 oz bars were all in short supply while bigger bars and 1 oz rounds and bars were plentiful. Dealers said 10 oz bars have been the most popular and sells them quicker. I took that as 10 oz bars would be easiest to sell and may get more money on resale. Dealers paying 1$ over spot for 10 oz bars.
Premium for silver is ridiculously high in Australia. A 10oz generic bar is around spot +15% from the local dealers. Hardly a bargain. And a 100oz bar is about spot +6%. Compared to gold, a 1oz bar is just spot + 2.x%. I heard from an investment adviser that silver premium should be around 2x gold premium and gold premium should not exceed 5% to be a worthwhile long term stack. 😅
100oz is difficult to sell as not many bullion shops or casual buyers willing to buy them. But gold is ever getting pricey these days. A gold premium not exceeding 5% is for 1oz and bigger.
its actualy a little suprising that the rfid tag scans at all i figured the silver would absorb most of the EM energy like how some badge holders work.
Steve in Florida I enjoyed your video thank you for doing it but gosh right now I don't think their nothing under 3 dollars over spot unless it's maybe a 50 Oz or above but I have been able get a hold of 4. 10oz old Engelhardt loaf bars that I have had for over 25 years I would hope that they would be say 5 over spot to all be safe and continue to stack when we can
I don't buy silver but if I was going to (I've considered a few times) I'd buy the kilo bars. Good size, not too big, and low premium. 10oz is still okay just premium is still there
Hands down the Scottsdale mints 10 oz stacker’s are my favorite, they’re the only silver bars I stack! Everything else is coins for me. For gold I stick with Pamp Suisse’s lady Fortuna
Most of my collection habits have been US and type examples. The favorite bar purchases Scottsdale 10 oz. The bars you have featured here are impressive display and appreciated.
yes, kilos to 1 oz and everything in between. Reason is, if silver and gold do what we want who will be able to buy? So a good assortment is necessary....I like 20 gram gold bars...seems like an affordable size...
last night I bought 100 10oz bars--wowowowo--I felt it's better to have the silver vs fake money in the bank--fiat vs physical I choose the shiny metal
I've bought a few items on ebay like DBS and picked up Asahi 10 oz. I can't see buying art or collectible bars. Silvertowne bars look nice and I will buy 1 oz if the spot is the same as 10 oz (27 for 1 oz and 270 for 10 oz.).
Bruh it wont get to the point of you needing 1964 coins to buy a loaf of bread 😂 I feel like doom days ppl hope and pray for this kind of shit to happen
@Monkofthecaribbean and it's people like you that makes room for us prepared guys. The world is more volatile than it has ever been. Unstable countries do not mind using nuclear weapons.
Love the Scottsdale bars! I have some of the 5oz poured bars from them but never figured out a good way to store them because there is no dedicated container or capsule like rounds or coins have. What is the best way to store bars in your opinion to minimize tarnish and toning?
don't worry about it, thats how to minimize it. Especially with bars. But you just have to keep the silver away from air and fingerprints. Put them in a sealed food container. So they they are not exposed to new air. But what fun is that. You can sell them by weight, not by how pristine they look. Plus dirty ol silver looks cool
Yeah, good GOD I love how well the Scottsdale bars look, but they are nearly 10-15 dollars a bar over the Mint D/SilverTown/Random Type bars. Yup...too much for my blood.
I buy bars when I can't get rounds since my LCS's don't cut a break on premiums for a 10 oz bar vs 10, 1 oz rnds. They'll cut a break on a 100oz bar as those are harder for them to sell.
Every time I hear you talk about taxes & fees, it's the exact opposite of what I experience. I live in a jurisdiction where bullion that has a face value IS taxed, but generic bars/rounds AREN'T. I paid the taxes to have a half-tube of ASEs & some other sovereign coins, but otherwise find that the RCM 10 oz bars are my favorite silver to stack (despite the slightly higher premium).
I grabbed two of them from eBay last week. They were 40.00 less than the website. They’re fantastic! Can you tell me if the whole bar is cover in plastic or just the face? I simply can’t tell. 😂
We have these same Scottsdale 10oz stackers in Aus but they have a local bullion shop stamp on the front instead interestingly. There’s still the Scottsdale stamp on backside tho. Do you have a good way to store these bars in a case so they won’t move around? Does anyone make a clear case for these bars?
If I could do it all over I would only get the stacker bars. I have 10 ounce bars of all shapes and I just prefer the clean even stack of the stacker bars.
I just purchased my first silver from apmex 1 tube of 20 silver eagles and 2 10 oz bars. I need the fast shipping and I'm hoping they come thru with that as people have said they are pretty quick.
All silver is worth stacking if you get it for a good price... which any price it's at recently is good considering it's getting more rare by the day lol I got tons of silver I been collecting it since I was around 12 yrs old I'm 35 now and ever since I was 16 I been buying 2 oz a week and ever since I turned 18 I been buying 5oz to 10oz a week. Plus I inherited 17,000 ozs of silver from my grandfather which also consists of 144 maybe 145 oz of gold as well. He had old crates filled with silver and another with gold n some platinum bullion and big silver chains ect. He was pretty wealthy and put a small % of it into silver n gold. And I only got 1/8th of the stash and still ended up with all that n I still haven't went through it all so there is prob alot more
Germania all the way, finest looking bars ever maybe besides Scottsdale 10 oz stacker. Right now everyone should be buying 10 oz bars, 5 oz bars of silver, keep stacking because the price of silver is going way up and I'm knocking on wood right now, but the lower the price goes the more they want it because DXY or the US dollar will eventually crumble because it will be outpaced by the Chinese currency.
Smart Silver Stacker where do you get the spot price from when you mention it was $1.00 or $2.00 over the spot price for the 10oz silver bar when the silver squeeze happen?
Don't worry. Coins are bars. They are just really short bars. Like if you have a long, round bar and cut it in to slices, now you have a bunch of really short bars.
I have not found any deals on the Silver dealers Ebay stores. I have found they are higher then what you can but it for on their own site. I guess they are taking into account the CC fees just not listing it that way.
Yes the regular prices on the eBay store generally are higher than on the dealer sites. However, sometimes they run sales and promotions on specific bullion products in their eBay stores where the premium is lower than on their actual dealer site. Plus there's generally no minimum, and you can pay with CC. The sales are not as common these days, they had them frequently 2-3 years ago. I used to periodically search "Silver Special Price" on eBay when I was ready to do some stacking and I got some nice deals that way.

I believe the design is very similar. Of course there are some differences, the word silver is replaced with gold etc. Also the coins are different sizes. But for the most part it's the same design
What do you use for say 10 oz silver Town bars, they dont fit in the non pvc air tite cases. I've looked all over online and don't see a good storage solution for 10 oz bars any help is appreciated please.
From article in today's Barron's entitled Silver Is Looking Likea BargainAfter Price Drop: “Silver presents a better opportunity than gold at the present time,” says Jeff Wright, chief investment officer at Wolfpack Capital. However, he warns investors not to rush into the market just yet, especially as a rise in 10-year Treasury yields has fueled a retreat for precious metals that could see prices for both silver and gold move even lower.
Gold and Silver could definitely move lower from here! I would agree that silver is set up for more gains than silver, although I like both precious metals. I will be treating further dips as buying opportunities
This gentleman speaks a lot about “premiums” being so high. Consider that the spot price is continually pressed lower by “you decide who” and those that own or produce metals can not, or will not sell them at those low spot prices with out that “premium”. The spot price is not a fair price, willing buyer-willing seller price. If it was you could buy and sell at that price. But, of course it isnt and you cant.
Hey! I love your content! I have a question. Today, I bought a generic 10z cast silver bar from a super reputable shop that has their own line of 9999 fine silver. The premiums were super low, so I went with that over the RCM government backed 10z bars that came with a much higher premium. My goal is to hit 100oz first. I’m a newbie with 13 ounces in total. Am I wrong to not go for the RCM one? Does the government backing make it easier to sell? I’m just trying to get the most weight for the least premiums. Is that the right way to go?
Check out what everyone else is stacking ► ua-cam.com/video/sr2DaCi6jPY/v-deo.html
The premium on silver is rediculous atm. If you buy a bullion coin in australia your paying anywhere from $40-42 a coin and the silver price has dropped but premium still not moving.

I agree. This is the kind of content I like
The royal mint 10oz round / coin is absolutely beautiful
I have been focusing on the 10 oz bars and some gold as well. Mainly what had the lowest premiums.
My fave bars are from Germania Mint, Scottsdale Mint and Royal Canadian Mint. Can’t beat the stack ability of Scottsdale.
Just picked up a 10oz fleur de lis silver bar at my local coin shop yesterday.
For me the 10 oz bars are best for stacking. In the last dip I picked 3 each of my favorite bars, the 10 oz Britannia. Prior to that my RCM and Sunshine bars were my go to bars. Your last sentence says it all.
I do however like the pouted Italian bar, it comes with a stamped serial number too
Been stacking 10 oz bars for several years now, along with kilos, 5 oz, and of course the 1 oz rounds.
Months ago, When I bought the 1oz Mint ID rounds I actually peeled off that scan sticker.
10oz is my first choice. They add up quick but individually they are affordable
NICE!

Just got a 10oz Buffalo bar, 9 kruggerands and 2 1/2 oz pieces, gonna continue stacking until 40/oz out the door!
If you spend a little more , The kilo bar has the best numbers by far. 32.15 oz's. Cheaper than 3 10oz.
"I think if your piece of silver bullion is hefty enough to serve as a defensive tool, then I'm sorry, I'm counting it as a bar". LOL!
Same here brother. I love the 10 oz silver bars. I love the 10oz Silver Morgan Bar.
Working on upping my bar game. I have 60 oz. in 10-ounce bars spread out among RCM, Asahi, a 10 oz. Highland Mint Buffalo bar, and an Una & the Lion from the Royal Mint.

Mmmm the 10oz Stacker!! Very nice bars
they are indeed, thanks for watching!
Seems like the best bang for the buck
Good vid. Nice bars! I have a couple of the stackers but used to collect the Scottsdale 100g bars, when they were 60-65!
thanks for watching Eli, always good to hear from you!
Wow love the silver stacking, we love ❤️ silver in Australia 🇦🇺
Love the Perth Mint! thanks for watching👍
I don't buy silver but if I was going to (I've considered a few times) I'd buy the kilo bars. Good size, not too big, and low premium. 10oz is still okay just premium is still there
With the MintID bar the nfc tag is just a sticker that can be removed and placed on another bar
awesome channel, I stack 1oz 5 oz and 10 bars new with assay
Hands down the Scottsdale mints 10 oz stacker’s are my favorite, they’re the only silver bars I stack! Everything else is coins for me. For gold I stick with Pamp Suisse’s lady Fortuna

They do have bar coins as in coin design on traditional bars too

Like the chunky MSc bar
What colour is that table cloth and also if you have a link can you share it thank you
I wish the 10oz stacked on top of the 1 Kilo bars from Scottsdale Mint.
Smart Silver Stacker where do you get the spot price from when you mention it was $1.00 or $2.00 over the spot price for the 10oz silver bar when the silver squeeze happen?
Thanks. Btw, would you put your Scottsdale stackers in capsules?
I am a beginner, and enjoying the 1 oz buffalo rounds. Now however I would like to move up to a bar. Is there a 5 oz bar?
There are 5 oz bars, germania mint makes a nice one. Herobullion.com has good prices on the Germania mint bars
Scottsdale Mint also had 5oz bars a while back. I thought they were a bit too small in size though.
Personally I'd avoid ASE's due to premiums, almost every other sovereign bullion is cheaper
Don't worry. Coins are bars. They are just really short bars. Like if you have a long, round bar and cut it in to slices, now you have a bunch of really short bars.
cylinder I guess, not round... still, all coins are bars but not all bars are coins

Just exercise caution and make sure you do your own due dilligence!
Apmex, Scottsdale silver, liberty coin, bullion exchanges (NY), dbs coins, modern coin mart. Can’t go wrong with any of them on eBay.
We got Wall Street Mint ten oz bars back when the price was $60 each, delivered.
The days of "a buck over spot" seem to be gone. Yeah, OK, some dealers will pay a bit over spot to buy. If they're selling at $3.50 over spot and paying 50 cents over spot, it's the same story.
The serial code is nuts.
But propably more expensive then bull and bear
I just ordered my 50th 10 oz bar. Woo hoo. 500 oz. Also, I have 10 kilos in 500gr bars. All Germania mint. 821 oz total over the last year. 179 to go for the mythical 1koz. 🎉
Very nice, congratulations!
To me a coin stops being a coin at 2 oz anything bigger is a coin replica round, best example is the 1 ton gold roo at the perth mint
i remember buying 10 oz stackers for 160 and bitching it was way over spot
Prices are getting ridiculous now, I'm patiently waiting for a dip. Those Scotsdale silver stackers for example are currently around $328. Brutal.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a briefcase full of em?
"If your silver bullion is hefty enough to serve as a defensive tool" I can imagine throwing a brick of 10oz bar at someone....
A Kilo is perfect!
The mint ID chips can be removed and they still work if they're placed on another bar whether it's real or not There's a video on UA-cam about it
I bought. At 10 oz silver bar ( pioneer brand) from AMPEX the premium was almost $6 over spot. What's up these premiums ?
Fortunately I have a good repore with my LCS. I don't pay sales tax.
In Canada we’re paying $7 - $12 over spot
Had a question, would a silver and gold maple coin with the same year have the same design for both?

Dang wish I knew about the ebay stores these companies have
I'd have saved $80 on the 20oz Scottsdale bar haha
Are poured bars good for stacking?
I sure like them, but they usually do carry a higher premium than cast bars.
Does anyone know where to find a capsule that will fit a 10 oz Pamp Suisse silver bar?
Best 10oz bars in the world. But they are expensive. Buy 10 & leave it at that.
so why are rounds cheaper then bars ? yes its just a 15 to 20 difference but what's with the price ?
Scottsdale bars are going for $258 online
Just what we need electronic trackable silver lol
Premiums are sky high for every coin and bar! Doesnt matter anymore
