Brown gravy is simple to make. Medium hot to hot pan. Put in flour. Stir continuously to level of browned desired. Add butter to make your roux, the add milk ( reconstituted milk will do). Return pan to medium heat, stir until thickened. If too thick add water to thin. Add seasonings and if desired cooked meats.
So my 1st question is, do you store all the items in Mylar bags first with oxygen absorbers before you put them in the bins? If so what size should you use? 2nd question will you be stocking up on & storing items like salt/spices as well & putting them in the barrels or no?
Have you all sat as a team to evaluate the good storage and how it’d be utilized? Have you thot about inventorying all the buckets and consolidating for using? Have you checked out good recipes you all like as I’d think you’d be doing group meals vs everyone in their own?

A lot of mine is home canned. I'm working on eating up 4 year old stuff to make room. Rotate out old stuff. Buy what you like. Grow what you like.

Ed, just a suggestion, but maybe try changing the title of this video to a clickbait title like "Prepper's food haul". I know it's not your style but maybe it'll hit like the fema camp video
As of right now anything you can put back is better than nothing.. and I have four years worth of food put back and I have 4 10 week old pitbull puppies running around my homestead

It helps for us to see what a group is stocking up on. I am always looking for ideas. Thank you.

You may want to check into bulk gravy mixes too. That may be much more cost effective in the long run.
Maybe you should start raising hundreds of chickens for food. If something happens you will have no fresh meat. Get some turkeys.
Foodlion here brown gravy cheaper store brand is $0.99 so that's a great deal
I'm in my 60's and have never had lentils. I don't even know what they look like!
Good video
No, they should get to the store before I do! I got a good laugh on that one.
Thoses powered gravy mixes are no good. They are very artificial and each packet makes very little. That's why they are 33c because they suck. Sorry
Love the old school videos. It's how we all got started.
What goes with the million pounds of rice and beans you've bought? Where's the meat and vegs?

Do you have a dolly to move the barrels. Hugs and kisses to all. Stay safe 💕
I like these videos on food. Except the kidney beans. Lolo
Other than beans, what else do you prep for food?
Me? Canned salmon, chicken, tuna, pasta noodles, vegetables, ravioli, pork and beans, and most importantly, Vitamin C.
