Sarah .. Dela soul use the MJ joint already . Break of Dawn .. classic.. Plus Jermaine Jackson and Tito , Randy is broke you’ll never get that sample cleared.. 😊 lol.. This what I want to see at this We all have different MPC laying around.. I’m feeling the 37 .. however I want my live to sync with the 37 , transport button.. so I can have my live in the
live 2 next to my turntables In the other other room and the 37 in the control area. Akai need an instant sync set up in the preference tab .
For example if you have the MPC Studio 2 / a Sync preference page will automatically combine both units instantly.. with the key 37 .. now you have large pads etc .. more buttons Qlinks ..
It’s 2 the point when purchase 1 product the other is collecting dust!
    For now live 2..
Instant gear sync and a decent controller with nice keybed for customers who already have a MPC one , X , live .. those MPK controllers are toys .. better yet 88 hammer action.. MPX grand .. retro white .
    1 unit..

Then I got introduced by a good friend who had an mpc 2000 and he taught me how to use it. After that I bought the 2000xl and used the triton together and never looked back. So, I already have the MPC 1 plus. should I keep both for the reasons you talk about?

I don’t own a MPC 1 plus PLUS it depends on you and your workflow.

My first device was the original Ableton Push. Still got it somewhere, but don't use it anymore

It's a good idea from Akai to make a 37key. I'm on Ableton live and as hardware I got a Verselab mv1, No MPC. But I wonder how is the workflow of this red thing ... generally the MPCs ?

I notice people always chop using the pads, but can you chop and edit samples using the keys?

      Yes!

The pads work like the keys. The keys work like the pads. They are on a chromatic scale

To be fair, it's more workstation than synthesizer. I've had my eye on one for a time but the red keeps putting me off. I'd like one in a nice shade of blue. The fact it can sample and beat slice means I'm seriously looking at it again. I bought that album myself waaaaayyyyy back in 1979. Yes, I'm THAT old. 🤣
Best track by far is "Rock With You".
Edit: The more I think about it, the more I consider saving a little bit longer and getting a Roland Fantom 06 instead. I can beat slice in my DAW. 😁

Man how did you route the record player to record into the MPC.. I've been trying to figure this out for the longest.

(Turntable) Aux to dual 1/4 cables (input of MPC)
