I am 52 years old and I could remember back in the mid 90s when I purchased the MPC 2000 XL as my first equipment purchase and I can honestly say that was a amazing experience for years. I made lots of amazing beats on that machine and no, I do not still have it. I sold it on, eBay. Question despite the MPC pad feel how is the key 37 workflow in the actual machine is it like the MPC live workflow or does it have limitations?
NI is falling asleep at the wheel even though Akai is regurgitating and doing just enough so that the MPC heads will keep spending. NI is truly half stepping
NI gonna respond.. With a maschine to match the new keyboard controller hardware. With audio track / punch in and out feature. Basically we only use DAW for vocals at this point!
When NI released the new MK3 boards with no Maschine integration I said that was so they can soon release a new Maschine and people would have to run out and buy it if they want to integrate. I have a S88 mk2 and a Maschine Mk3 so you know how I feel
Verrrry dope. I was a little afraid at first because I love “I can’t help it” plus the Joints that have sampled it like “Breakofdawn” and a few other choice cuts but you grabbed a great texture out of it and laid dope stuff on top of it. Good job and it sold the 37 for me!
Thank you so much. Your opinion will be very helpful. As expected, for individuals who prioritize budget and seek an all-in-one solution, this could be the ideal choice.

It's a good idea from Akai to make a 37key. I'm on Ableton live and as hardware I got a Verselab mv1, No MPC. But I wonder how is the workflow of this red thing ... generally the MPCs ?
My first sampler was the Casio SK-1 back in 1985. Legit so sad somehow I lost it! But that thing was my entry point into sample based music and it was so much fun.
I started out with an mpk mini play and BandLab using a usb hub and my phone…just couldn’t get drums to sound good…so when I got my MPC+ I used the pads and heard my drums on time I was in heaven…the pads may be stiff but theyhave a great sensitivity level and makes finger drumming more realistic and sound versatility is totally customizable
The beat btw was 🔥. I’m a beginner with some experience but I’m still looking for the right MPC, I have an MPK Mini MKIII and I was already debating between the One+ and the Live II. This just makes my decision that much harder 😂
I have a MK3 and an FL key 37, i feel like this would be able to do everything that set up can but in a waaay smaller space, i was eyeing the big brother the 61 key before this came out and now i have a toigh choice to make 👀🔥

1st device was a AKAI MPC 2000 I don’t have it (gifted it to a friend) can the key 37 sample it’s internal sounds?
yes it works like a MPC with keys
My first device was the mpc one
does it have the workflow of a mpc live or a force is what i need 2 know
I’ve never used a force but it’s close the MPC live 2 workflow
I feel like, if you know one MPC (the latest versions) you can use any one of them.
Hey Sarah will the Key 37 pair up and work with the MPC X SE so I could have best of both worlds with the keys on the 37 and the big pads on the X SE?
I’m sure you could. You can use both as separate external instruments on your audio interface or use the MPC key 37 as a midi controller
Doooopeee!!! When I saw you grab the album, that's the first song I thought of to grab stems. Love how you flipped it!!
