- Hi Guys, and welcome back! This one has been highly requested, which is understandable since Teresa Teng is INCREDIBLE! I was a little nervous to sing this one at first because 《甜蜜蜜》(tián mì mì) is such a beautiful, warm song... and I don't think my voice is particularly warm. That being said, I think my final result is okay! I hope you enjoy!

I have some Teresa Teng LP records from the late 1970s that I played in my Chinese restaurant. Got 'em in NYC China Town where I got all my restaurant supplies. Loved listening to her then. I do enjoy this lovely lady singing Chinese. I am caucasian but have always felt a kinship with Chinese. Maybe it's because my mom read to me The Good Earth when I was a very young child. IDK but of all the countries I have ever wanted to visit the first on my list is the countryside of China, the next would be the countrysides of Russia and England. Also enjoy your mom singing with you.

I love 鄧麗君's songs as well. I frequently traveled to China in 1980's. At that time 鄧麗君's songs are prohibited in China, but many chinese guys were secretly listening her songs. They said 日間是老鄧天下、晩上是小鄧世界.

I'm Thai, but my granny was a chinese refugee that fled from mainland china with my great grandmother, clearly her family didn't like comunist china ideology...Granny and my mom used to sang this song together everyday when I was a kid, even tho my granny have pass away this song will remain in our heart and family

Flower in english already contains the idea of blossoming open, whereas hua in Chinese has both opening and closing, being born and dying in its hanzi, so i think it's ok to repeat the word flower.
