as a metal drummer im stunned, you've inspired me to work on my rudiments i hate practicing rudiments but this sounds so GOOOOOOOOOD i just want my bass to go brrr
I'm pleased to hear I'm inspiring you - means a lot to me and inspires me onwards. Thank you. Do you know about full, down, tap and up strokes? If not, start with Dom Famularo's book "Motions and Emotions" Then get "Sticking Patterns" by Gary Chafee and "Accents and Rebound" by George Lawrence Stone. My recommendations for getting the hands to go places...
You're very welcome. Just passing on what was shown to me by my drum teacher. And I'm always around so if you have any questions, just get in touch buddy!
@@GeorgeHuttonDrums Nah, I wish though. I dont have good mics for recording and I have bad hardware. I have a usable kit but im just a drummer for my schools jazz band. Ive played a lot before and Ive always wanted to try to post videos but the sound quality and softwares dont work well.
Yeah, i hear that. I tried to do these videos using my phone at first. It did not go well haha. I got a zoom q2n-4k in the end and it does the video and sound really really well. Worth a look at it if you wanna get in to doing videos. Only cost me £200!!! Best value for money on any kit I've bought.
A long old time haha. Started when I was 12, 24 long years ago!! I was doing a LOT of practice from 16 onwards... Don't do as much as I used to (8 hours a day in my prime!)
Putting the chime/bell on top was a cool idea for that sizzly clang out of such a dry ride.
Aye! Sounds really good doesn't it. Looks like it belongs there too...
You make me look at how I play things differently. I really try to incorporate things you do in my playing. You rock my friend
That means so much to me. Genuinely. Thank you.
Do you have any videos of your stuff I could watch?
That was really creative, and it sounded great!
Thanks a lot, buddy! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment :)
Loved it ❤
