My gas oven has high and low temperature for broil so after preheating to 400% F I chose the high setting and set timer to eight minutes will check it then a 4:15 nd if need be turn down to low setting for additional 4 minutes. After that will follow the baking time as indicated in the video. Wish me luck. Ok update time. Aside from a slightly burnt top this cake turned out great. Wonderful texture and flavor. Now know to have broiler on low for the 12 minutes. Kudos to the author of this video. Will definitely keep this recipe.

In America people have 2-3 styles usually, classic electric with coils on the top part of the stove/oven combo, with a broil coil in the oven part of the combo usually in the top-inside of the oven. Then there is gas ovens, with gas stove top parts, and the oven can either have the broil bar that has flames that come out of each side in the inside-top of the oven OR the broil part is down below in a drawer compartment under the oven compartment. Finally, some have glass electric topped stoves that use electric all around, but the top is flat glass for easier cleaning and maintenance than the old coil style. But it too can either have the broil part in the oven compartment or in a drawer below the oven compartment.
