- The most Fluffy and Moist Cake I have ever had! No Oven! No Baking powder! Extremely Easy homemade
* Ingredients
3 Large Eggs
30g (2 tbsp) Cooking oil
45g (3 tbsp) Milk
70g (0.54 cup) Cake flour
2.5ml (1/2 tsp) Vanilla extract (optional)
2g (1/4 tsp) Lemon juice
50g (2 tbsp) Sugar
cake pan size: 15cm/6''
Steam for about 45 minutes on medium heat
Important tips
1. Need 3 large eggs, shelled about 55-60 grams
2. If you don't have vanilla extract, you can omit it.
3. Whip the egg whites on medium-high speed first, after adding sugar for the third time, turn to medium-low speed and whip until neutral - dry peaks.
4. Put the cake into the steamer after the water boils and steam for about 45 minutes on medium heat.

The most fluffiest cake I’ve seen looked like a sponge,I couldn’t really bit it and it tasted weird but I found it under my sink so it was free which is also a win
You need to add more sugar 😉😂
maybe frosting will help
No u should add some frosting, butter, sugar and sprinkles, then it'll taste good!
And not get it from under your sink. haha
No under the sink is the tastiest everyone knows that
For those who are wondering, it can be baked in an oven for 20min in a 200ºC
But does it come out equally as fluffy?
Yes, i tried it myself😄👌🏼
@@Kaeloh okay nice 😊 thanks for the feedback
Not many people can Steam stuff ... they have an oven ... so the whole catch-phrase of "NO OVEN!" ... when I know there's eggs involved really makes me go "This better be safe to eat".
@@Nimoot raw eggs are actually pretty safe for the most part, these days they are checked for a lot of issues or imperfections and are not sold if they have problems, but the availability of large steamers is what would stop me from doing this
This might be a good replacement for that girl who eats mattress foam
💀💀
Oh my god I forgot about her 😂
Literally exactly what I thought it looks like

@@CookingDeliciousFood you can now
2:48 Tip for anyone looking to make this: When you add the meringue to the batter, you should fold it in with a spatula. NO WHISK! Since there's no rising agents, all the air that got whipped into the meringue is what makes the cake so fluffy. It won't rise much past what you pour in. If you whisk it or mix too aggressively, you'll burst all the air bubbles and will be left with a tiny, not fluffy cake.
I think this is also called an angel food cake :)
actually, you can do it with a whisk, but you gotta be extra careful~
There’s no egg yolks in angel food cake, which actually rises quite a bit, but gets turned upside down to cool because it doesn’t have the same spongy structure as this one 😋
@@vancouverlex the egg yolk doesn’t make the cake rise. it only gives richness and color.
@@ohareshairs2210 I think they were maybe referring to angel food cake?
Now it makes senseeeee
I like how it says “no oven” like I got a steamer laying around
Oh I haven’t finished watching the video, so it needs a steamer? Welp, looks like I can’t try to make the cake as I most definitely do not have a steamer 🥲
@@sweetmimosamommysaranghae3163 If you want to make it in an over, it can apparently be baked at 200ºC for 20 min!
You can pick up steamers really cheap. I'd recommend it too, it helps keep flavour and all the nutrients in your veg. Also handy to have a couple of things cooking on the same hob because of the extra tiers in the pan. You can even use the bottom part to boil something else like peas.
If you have a pressure cooker, 99% of the modern ones have a tray and a setting for steaming
@@yeropan hi, sorry British person here. What is 200°C as a gas mark (if you know )
That is the fluffiest cake I've ever seen. When I first saw it, I thought it was just a sponge, there was no way that was a cake!! How wrong I am. Want to try this myself! Thank you for sharing 👍
It makes me think of foam, one of my cats, the tabby one, loved tearing apart sponges and foam, and he was so naughty about stealing food, he’d have loved this. It’s a lovely-looking cake.
It honestly looks like a very tasty sponge 🤤
I know looks so tasty.
Lol that cake is great for pranking
I wonder if it would work as one too 👀
Spongebob but sweet
It's literally called sponge cake, hehe
Imagine turning this masterpiece into a 6-tier wedding cake, covered with the most delicious homemade cream cheese frosting... it makes my taste buds water just thinking about it!
I might have drooled a little bit just now...
omg no damn way. I’m jotting this down and using it in about 20 years if I get married
I was thinking layers with thick Dulce de Leche and finely slices peaches, or a fancy pastry cream with paper thin strawberries and buttercream frosting. maybe soak the first layer in rum or rum extract ?
that would be nice but, because there would be so many layers and so much cream cheese, it would squish the sponge and it wouldn't be fluffy anymore. it'd be incredibly dense and probably wouldn't taste that nice because dense cake never tastes good
@@puppym_arcus all this cake is is an angel food cake with egg yolks added in. That and light sauces work best with this kind of cake. You don't want heavy butter cream or cream cheese frosting on this as it would make it too heavy. Berry sauces, glazes, creams and curds work best here as they compliment rather than contradict.
Ive used this recipe so many times and everyone is shocked when I tell them it’s not baked. Absolutely amazing thank you for sharing 😊
Amount of sugar used in cake is that enough????
Absolutely love this cake. It is the fluffiest one i have ever seen, so evenly coloured, no brown parts, looks exactly like a sponge (but edible)- ooohh it's just so satisfying.🥰😋👏 Well done!
FOR EVERYONE STILL ASKING : YES YOU CAN MAKE IT WITHOUT A STEAMER ! Its 200 C ~20 Minutes in the Oven 👍🏻👏🏻❤️ Really works ❤️
With added water to a tray? Like baking a jiggly cheesecake?
@@Sircedan wubba wubba
@@Sircedan I see some comment without water in tray they have little burn cake or just more brown
hello, did you also cover it with aluminum foil, to put it in the oven?
@@manfriny_ it is not necessary. But without the foil you have to check that the cake don't get too brown on top.
I was out of sponges in my house and I really gotta do the dishes. Thanks for the tutorial this'll be very helpful 😊

OMG it's a Genoise sponge and it's French. Don't give this goon the credit.

It's so satisfying to watch it pull apart and bounce like a sponge. I want to try this. It seems simple to do but I know it's not
It's not hard but one thing you absolutely can't skimp on is being careful folding in the egg white mixture into the flour mixture. There's no baking powder to make it rise, it's all the air bubbles in the whipped egg whites. Fold it in gently until it's just incorporated, don't use a whisk or mixer.
Yes, it's hard if you haven't cooked a single thing in your whole life.
