NO treats, clickers, intimidation or harsh corrections used!
Sam came to us from another training facility that deemed him "untrainable". The original owner and several trainers gave up on him. We knew we could help Sam so we took him in. This was a dog that was extremely aggressive and was not even potty trained at 3 years old. After a few short months with Your Dog Guru, Sam is now healthy, happy and ready to find a good home! - Домашні улюбленці та дикі тварини
It is clear that poor Sam was badly mishandled, not once, but repeatedly. The more intelligent the dog, the harder it can be to undo the damage. I'm so glad you were able to do so for this beautiful boy!🥰🥰🥰💜💜💜🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
There are no bad dogs. Just bad people.
My dog always hides my remote and my glasses. He's a bad dog lol
Yes there is, what about that pitbull who attacked a defenseless pug or the pitbull that ate it's owner pfft get outta here
@@khaaleliilighntingcoronado9009 No he's not. He's probably young.
Yep
@@khaaleliilighntingcoronado9009 Friday night is pizza night. We order pizzas delivered. We put the pizza on the table. One of us goes to get napkins and paper plates the other goes to get Pop. If one of us comes back before the other, my dog will run to the front door barking it's ass off. The person that got to the pizza 1st always goes to see who's at the door. The dog waits until we almost get to the door and he makes a mad dash back to the pizza, pulls the pizza off the table and eats as much as he can. He suckers us more times than I will admit.
We adopted our Malinois when she was one. She was sweet, and had a lot of habits that needed to be trained out of her. After two years, she is a great addition to our household. This video reinforces the idea that with a talented trainer, a wary, "unworkable" dog can turn into one that walks around carrying his leash, needing only his owner's verbal/visual cue. GREAT video.
Thank you for rescuing this Mal. Mine spent over a month at the humane society till i came along. Her pass/fail test was how she was with my kids and she was indifferent. I could work with that. About 3 months later, she's one of the pack, i mean family. This is my first dog so i have a special place in my heart for the breed so it's heartwarming to see this one make it. Honestly, it looks like all it needed was love.
This video brought me to tears. Good job, man.
If that made you cry, you need a tampon, ya big ol pussy.
I have a year old Belgian Malinois that I started training at 2 months old. He is a fast learner. All his commands are by voice and hand. He is rewarded by love, treats or his favorite toy. Never had to use any e collar or spike collar. He is currently a search and rescue dog. Check out his videos at my profile.
Thats a NAVY ,police type of a Dog...too powerful and smart to be a house dog..great job on the training ..
So the one I have as a house dog shouldn’t be a house dog according to you?
Dan DeGraw correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t the breed specifically bred as a farm dog not just for the cattle but to hunt and kill rodents also to work in packs to help trap for hunting and other animals Athleticism is in the genes so ya if you have one a house pet that you keep in your house 24/7 and take on a few walks around your neighborhood then you shouldn’t have one IMO
That's a Belgian malinois for ya.
@@yosour6733 They are belgian shepherds, they are herding dogs. They have a lot of energy and drive, the average person should NEVER have a Mal. They require a lot of training, playing, socialization, exercise, brain games, and they need to have a job, such as doing sports. I've trained many dogs and I've had 2 service dogs that were owner trained, I'm getting my 3rd prospect soon. I would NEVER get any of the belgian shepherds because I know they require a lot of time and work and I would never be able to give that to them. They are a very advanced dog breed.
He's done so well what a happy boy all he wanted was to work and be praised well done for giving him a chance and a loving home hes adorable X
well done to this man for all his hard work and probably saving this dogs life
Thank you for saving this dog. I hope he brings as much happiness to you as you have brought to him.
It's great this dog wasn't given up on! Thanks to those who had a part in bringing the best of him back!
Looks like you gave that dog just what it needed. A calming, firm influence and a job.
Thank you Sam for what you do !❤️
THANK YOU FOR GIVING SAM A 2ND CHANCE!! MALS ARE SO SPECIAL BUT IN THE INEXPERIENCED HANDLER /OWNER TOO SAD FOR OUR MALS!!
So happy for this dog 🙏🏻
Hey Sam way to prove all the critics wrong. I wish people were as capable of learning!
if this dog was on the brink of being put down then an e-collar is the least of our worries. very happy to see a dog enjoying work.
+Robert Palmer Its still the same aggressive dog. Except, his aggression is now channeled constructively, a great dog to have.
+reiwell del His anger isn't being channel end in any particular way. What are you talking about?
Ryan Whyte im talking about the dogs fuckin instincts and energy. Its being put to use, otherwise it would be wrecking your house.
I think you're confusing the word "drive" with "aggression."
+Robert Palmer Amen!
This is incredible, well done, every dog deserves more than one chance!
Wow that's amazing! I have a malinois myself and I know first hand how much of a handful they can be, hes such a loving dog but still gets over excited when coming across new people or dogs, I would love to be able to have this much control over him to be able to walk past other dogs without having to hold him back and try and move him in another direction, one day hopefully we will get there, hes only 2 so plenty of time to learn.
So glad to hear someone cared
The pausing on the fences was amazing! This is the 1st time I've seen this task done! I've watched well over 100 of dog training videos trying to learn all they can do & proper techniques and variations for training. All of your work with this "untrainable" dog sure paid off ~ inspirational! Thanks for sharing :)
I must agree. I have seen all kinds of “tricks “ and even been in on a couple. Every time that I think that’s the best.Something new comes along like this. Great job! I truly hope that he’s still here.
We had a handler that had taught his dog to limp with his front paw for the word “Sickcall”. This was useful in the cold. He would call out the flight chief. Then the duty officer would come out and put the dog on a medical waver for the night. This worked out real well. The dog went back to the kennel and the handler got a warm pickup for the night. It was pretty funny to watch that dog run around and then all of a sudden just limp around and you actually felt sorry for him.
For someone thinking of becoming a trainer, very impressed. And I admire your dedication to bring a dog from angry at the world and lonely, to an amazing athletic and lovable friend.
Now THAT is impressive!!!! I lol watching him carrying his own leash at the end. :)
This is beautiful! You can definately see the friendschip between dog and owner. This shows how a good trainer can get the best out of his dog and that you should never give up, regardless of what people say. Great example!
Looks to all he needed was the right trainer. Good job, both of you.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing and posting!
God Bless you, Dog Guru! Love to see Sam get that 2nd chance - he's obviously happy because he has purpose, and that's what working dogs need. Just makes me sad for all the dogs people have given up on.
Every time Sam jumps on something I kept thinking gymnastics. He deserves a gold medal!
Love how he walks himself at the end.
hah that’s what my dutch shepherd does when I take her out. I just hand her the leash and she walks herself until I see someone else and then take it back from her so they feel safe. She used to chase after cars and ran / postured up to other dogs, I trained that out of her and she’s awesome.
GREAT job giving such a great dog a second chance!!!!!
Good job, great to see such a capable breed doing fulfilling a purpose, congrats on getting Sam back to being a happy Malinois!
THANK YOU for saving Sam.
Great Job. Dogs always have a better life when you give them something to do.
Great job on the dog. You took his aggresiveness & gave him a job to do. Dog is now happy & healthy.
god bless this man and this pup for not giving up on eachother
Outstanding, what a great effort with a very talented dog. Thank you for not giving up, Merry Christmas.
Beautiful pup! Great training, just got a Mal rescue pup and he is a handful but a real love but and challenging. Great dogs.
Awesome job, Guru 👍
Wow, it took a special trainer! So glad for Sam!
So happy Sam got a job to do!!! He makes such light work of those jumps lol
I adore my mally.. Thank you for saving this amazing animal..This earth needs more people like you xoxoxo
So basically, when I planned on getting a Belgian Malinois and planned certain fence in mind, I unknowingly chose a fence that would have absolutely no purpose in my future yard.
+amsaric This is exactly why I have to laugh when a Malinois breeder asks on their buyer form if you have a fenced in yard, if the dog wants to leave a fence may not be enough to stop it. That being said there is a potential to get a Malinois with no interest in jumping fences, it just isn't likely.
an 8 ft fence wasn't enough to stop my gsds from getting out of tye house haha. i thought it might work out better but owning dogs that are meant to work and do actual work. ..Obviously it wasn't gonna stop them
+amsaric My Boston Terriers could have easily jumped over the fence in our backyard... They just don't. I've seen plenty of fence jumpers and climbers... sometimes it just happens.
+amsaric My Mal would walk over a 10-foot chain link fence as if it was nothing more than a slight inconvenience. It wasn't even an annoyance to her.
GunsNBudder you say a 10 foot fence won't contain a Malinois? Great to hear that, I just put in an 8 ft fence, crap. Hopefully my Abby won't try getting out. Man, she's going to escape ain't she?
GOD Bless Sam and the fabulous trainers! :)
Thank you Sam
Thank you very much for sharing
Amazing job. That dog is awesome! And so are you! 😊😮❤
So lovely to see. Makes us all want to be dog gurus out of love. Can even learn from the unnecessary angry, expletive comments too. Love this video.
Great Job. recovery of a Great Friend.
WOW!!! I can see why this breed & the Gernan Shepherd are trained for the military. They are beautiful dogs & with the right person to train them, they can become incredible!!!

these dog are amazing!!!!! my goal is to bring one in to my family. we have the energy and resources to train a well rounded dog.
INCREDIBLE, congratulations...
This makes me cry
Great job !
Great job man! Sometimes all these dogs need is to know someone has faith in them.
"NO treats, clickers, intimidation or harsh corrections used!" Let me guess: just "some" patience used here? Good work and my hat off, brother! I loved to see you two walking together with Sam carrying the leash in his mouth as a real dandy hero!
Awesome man!
Boy can you help dogs that need proper guidance. Good for you! 👍💯
very good training
What a great dog!
With love, patience and positive reinforcement animals are teaching us those values and gives it back to you 100%.
such a nice dog now well done on his training see you used a shock collar for part of it but the dog looks so happy now would love one for flyball got a collie atm
Every dog is as good as his owner, bad owner bad dog...Good job!😎👍👌
Damn dog has some serious hops..glad to see he did get the right trainer
He’s awesome !
Nice!
Great job
On a side note, nice job with him. You have really brought him into a trusting relationship which is great to see.
How was that trust formed? I didn't see that...nor did this trainer give viewers any idea of HOW that would be trained into the dog. All I see is a dog in a inadequate crate size, being shocked with an e - collar to form his brain around choosing between which pain he prefers....but whatever makes you be able to justify it to yourself
sinmore11 LOL you seem pretty hung up on Sam judging by your endless comment trail ranging from month to months. Maybe you need therapy? a job? a clue about training methods? the list goes on there buddy.
Oh, I see you're a non-critical thinker...typical. Dave, here's a clue about how YT works; people see my posts (even months later) and make comments and I come back to correct their way of thinking....simple. Of course your obvious arrogance believes you have the right to judge and comment on how I choose to spend MY time. Maybe you are hung up on people that don't agree. Maybe you need a _better_ job, maybe you have no clue about my training methods...of course how could you. You made a lame comment and that had little to no reason behind it, and now you are rightfully chagrinned...buddy
sinmore11 Stop speaking rubbish. The dog was going to be killed. An e-collar is not abusive. And this dogs life was SAVED YOU CRUEL PERSON!
Also it says no harsh corrections were used.
You can train a high drive dog like a mal, exclusively with a tug toy. Nothing done in that video is incredibly hard.
Part of it comes down to the dogs natural atheltic ability.
Want to know the commands? He did a sit, a down.
He taught the touch command, which you can use to get the dog up on anything with just a hand signal. Rest is natural athelticism by dog.
The heel was taught probably positively again with tug toys. The obedience like heel and walking next to him under distraction, probably did take some minor corrections. Thats the hardest part of the whole video.
Above all it took time and patience.
Because you cant understand it shows how little you know about dogtraining, just like all those other stupid trainers who gave up on dog and siad it was untrainable.
Kep copy and pasting the same rant is NOT owning someone in several posts...jeez what a loser!
Great! I feel so rewarded to have finally hit on a video of someone who truly knows what he is doing. Congrats, Dog Guru!
I reckon this is the way to communicate with a dog (or a horse even). A correct understanding of the way animals communicate, which can be observed in each and every scene of this video, is the number one ability humans need to master in order to obtain best results when teaching anything to an animal. Unfortunately, too many people get it wrong or do not get it at all.
I hope every beginner replays this video as many times as necessary until all the tiny details become apparent. Once you master this, you will be able to "effortlessly" make of your pet your best companion and viceversa. The same skill is good for teaching a puppy to siting, later on to staying put, and all the way up to leading a blind person through the city trafic, or whatever you want your dog to do. Yes! Treats, clickers and harshness are for morons only. Your pet is not.
This amazing!
This guy is a great trainer
Awesome dog, glad you didn't give up.
