We have had 3 flats with ours so far. The 1st one was a blow out on the freeway coming home from a road trip. Tesla sent a van with a spare (1 hour drive to us). The 2nd was just after leaving the beach and we pulled over and got the same treatment from Tesla. Then a Mobil repaired brought our rim and a new tire back. The 3rd was in a maul parking lot and this time Tesla, after an hour, told us we needed to get towed home or to a repair shop. We were already upset then AAA truck broke down 5 minutes away from us. I own a MY with the 5 seat configuration and my wife owns one with the 7 seat configuration. When traveling for vacation with our 3 kids we usually take my car because we can fit more luggage. For everything else either car is fine. Because of the armrests for the 3 row, the rear cargo area is a little bit narrower in the 7 seat Model Y. Her car has the tow hitch and roof racks. We take hers when going skiing or kayaking. If I had to replace my car, I would definitely go with the 7 seat configuration. Having those 2 extra seats is better than gaining a little bit more space in my opinion.
wow that's great feedback, I didn't realize the armrest ate into the space! thanks for sharing that, good information people should know. yeah you give up a bit, but if you have kids i think its pretty valuable
@@TwoBitDaVinci Here is another piece of information. Contrary to the 5 seat configuration which has a second row that can't be moved, the second row in the 7 seat configuration can be moved. When carrying groceries or any other small items, with the 3rd row down, make sure to move the 2nd row all the way back touching the 3rd row to prevent items from falling in between the gap between the 2nd and 3rd row. Sometimes items roll or move during transport and when you come to a quick stop those items could potentially fall in between those two seats. If it happens most of the times those items end up under the second row seats and can potentially roll to the driver's feet.

This is the vid I have been looking for! Placed my order with the same exact configuration but had a hard time finding a video showing the red 7 row option and you answered all the questions I had about the vehicle 👌🏿. Great vid
Sounds like there’s a sales opportunity here to make these kinds of strollers that specifically fit in these vehicles because volume wise, that big stroller should be able to actually fit in back, and the same thing could be said for the smaller stroller in either position. I’m actually kind of surprised with how many tests there are now that there aren’t bespoke designed equipment of all types including strollers, folding tables and chairs, I’m sure there’s other things I can’t think of right now for the specific space for each of the storage areas and all the different Tesla models.
We use our pockit + all city much more (folds up and super compact with the ability to take it onto a plane). Our nuna mixx just sits in storage collecting dust.
GREAT VIDEO bro! excellent explanation, great use of family and well done! I ordered my 7 seater after seeing your original video showing the spacing. Like you said, it's no full size SUV but it definitely works. Now that the Model Y is selling at a price close to what it's really worth, seems like a no brainer to buy now! I feel bad for everyone that paid over $70k for theirs
We're 6 in total. I'm thinking I'd only utilize one of the seats in the 3rd row and keep the other one folded. That way I'd have way more luggage space if I were to drive to my holiday destination.
Is that a Yoruba name given to one of them? If so, are you related to that culture in any way? Just curious. Ohh, yeah they were very helpful and adorable.
A huge thing I wished you added to this video was how safe the vehicle is. This thing will keep you safe in the event of a very serious accident. Not only will it save your life but it will reduce the chances of significant injury.
I have to agree, I was kind of waiting for that point to be brought up but I have to say all in all this is the most likable down to earth guys I’ve seen on any of the dozens of Tesla videos I’ve watched over the years. His information is always spot on and he is just a very normal, although extremely bright person to follow. Cool family too
LMAO Ricky! You having to slouch in the far back seat is how I sit in most car's front seats. Rentals are a pain. They simply don't comprehend until I walk in to pick one up. Then, the looks on their faces is both priceless and alarming. The best picture of me in a car is with my head sticking through the sun roof on the way to lunch in a co-worker's car.
I have a 15 month old and a second one on the way. I didn't think we would benefit from a 7-seater, but after seeing this video I'm thinking it might be a good idea. I usually drive & my wife sits in the backseat with my 1 year old in their carseat. With a second car seat, a 7-seater might be our answer. Once the kids get older we can always consider selling it. Thank you!
Awesome video! The one request I’d have since this is a review specifically of a 7 seater is that what does the rear look like, how easy is it fold up when not in use, and how much space do you gain when you do? You mentioned you’d only be using these seats for when the parents visit so since they won’t be in use most of the time, I’d imagine the seats would be folded and you’d regain some additional room with access from the rear.
absolutely with the third row folded down, its not too different (you lose a smaller second under floor compartment)... and very capable! you don't lose much which is amazing
@@TwoBitDaVinci So yet another reason to buy a 7 seater actually. While you lose the small under floor compartment specifically to where the last seats anchor, you regain the cargo space which assumingly remains accessible from the rear and then that monstrosity (LOL) of a stroller actually fits when Grandma and Grandpa aren't riding with you.
@@dorknob69 don't forget the sliding 60/40 2nd row can give you aven more (!!!) trunk space and the seats recline more than the 5 seater and 2x25watt power USB-C in the 3rd row is always accessible... I only wish they kept the heated seats as some early VIN 7 seaters had. Also, because the 2nd row is power actuated, young kids can easily slide and exit the 2nd row without adult help/strength. Also @280wh/mile (2 years 30k miles tested) this is the most efficient 7 seater by a mile.
Hi, the Tesla Model Y 7-seater is the first Tesla I ordered, the very day it was announced. Months later, when I finally test-drove it with my spouse + 3 kids (11, 13, 19 years old), it became obvious that the 2nd row was too cramped for them to coexist. There was fighting almost right away. If not for that, it would have been a contender. Our needs for many seats is mostly in town (grandparents coming over, all 7 of us want to go somewhere) or there's a soccer practice or kids birthday party. However, for longer roadtrips, with 5+ people _and_ their luggage, this car is just too small. So, we got the Model X, back when it was $75K or so, and haven't looked back. It can sit 5 or 6 people comfortably _and_ haul some decent amount of luggage. There's just a few more inches in every direction.
Congratulations family!!!! This is a great car indeed. I’ve owned a MYP for the last 7 months and I’m super happy with the car, stupid acceleration and top speed. Charging experience par to none, never had range anxiety, already put 11K miles all on road-trips summer and winter - and the heat pump works miracles. Very little range loss due to cold weather, living in Oregon where we have colder winters (than SoCal) and snow , tons of mountain pass and even with that range is beyond what I expected. Congrats again man ! 🎉
Don’t forget, Rivian or anything else, no Supercharger network. Oh- you just added that at the end. It’s a very BIG issue with all the others. Oh, also I nearly forgot, two of our sons have Model Y’s and I am blown away at their efficiency.
It looks like the ground clearance is the same on the Model Y as the Model 3. My only issue with my 2020 LR Model 3 is lack of air shocks to raise the car when driving into steep parking garages here in the city. The scraping sound on the bottom plastic isn't pleasant and happens more often than I would like.
Awesome video! We have a 7 seater model Y and with a baby on the way so this video was super helpful on what stroller would fit when traveling with 2 adults, a baby, and two dogs. We are actually getting the same brand of stroller, but the single stroller version instead of the double. It was great to be able to confirm the stroller will fit in the trunk before we purchase it!
We have a Nuna mixx and while it’s a nice stroller the thing is huge. Hate traveling with it so we got a HB pockit+ all city - so much more compact. I prefer our Y for school drop off vs our 3 due to the bigger door and not hitting my daughter’s head like the 3. The other advantage of Y over X besides the much lower price is the ability to put a roof rack and aero cargo box - it does impact range but if you keep it ~70mph it’s bearable.
We have an older Thule evolution bought off of Craigslist ~10 years ago for $75 that we previously used on our GL450 (originally thought we would only use it once for an extended family road trip but have since used it at least a couple times a year). If I had to get one a new one today, the skybox 12 would be my top pick. We also have the hitch on our Y which has also come in handy (recommend getting an easier access cover from Amazon since getting the oem cover off is a real pain). We’ve had both the cargo box and a hitch tray (harbor freight) on for trips carrying several inflatable paddle boards, inflatable 12ft boat with an electric outboard motor) when we took a trip to sun river Oregon with a kiddo and two dogs along with all the things they need. It’s surprising how much you can fit into a Y but a cargo box and hitch ( for a tray or bike rack) comes in handy.
The 7 seater looks quite practical even to move adults family or colleagues to a grill party or any short distance trip, kids will sit comfortably back there!
Agree on the R1S as being a much more ideal size - especially since we also have 2 dogs. Seriously considered it when we needed to replace our gl 450 but the Y was 1) readily available - got it in 2months vs waiting another year+ and doubted our old car could make it, 2) charging - supercharger as well as also already having the Tesla wall charger installed since we already had a 3 -also drove across country when we moved to Cleveland with the dogs and supercharger network was seamless - only wish the Y had like a 400miles rated range giving closer to 300 real world range and 3) autopilot- It drove 99% of my solo + dogs cross county trip (wife and kiddo flew and visited family while I needed to get there to meet our movers). It performed flawlessly and saved me a couple of times when I didn’t have enough caffeine.
I would add the hitch from Tesla, then you could put a bike rack or a kayak carrier on and really increase the functionality. After market hitches are cheaper, but there is considerable removing of panels necessary and i don't know about integration with brake lights and turn signals.
Luckily, stroller space isn't a concern for me. Both my 3yo and 6yo have wanted nothing to do with them since they could walk decently well. It can be a little inconvenient sometimes, but I do not miss having to lug those big things around.
I’m might be following in your footsteps. I have somewhat the same family profile as you(wife w/ 4 year old and newborn) and just watching this review inches me closer and closer to going for the 7 seater. What type of home charging would you recommend? Im new to Tesla and so I’m open to what will be best for a single family home but no garage scenario. Been following you for a few years now on UA-cam. Great review and thanks.
hey Mike! first check if you have an electric dryer in the garage, if you do, you can just get a small unit that splits it and chargers the car when you're not doing laundry... that's the cheapest... then getting a NEMA-14-50 240V plug would be second cheapest, and third would be a charger installed. but since tesla stopped giving out chargers when you buy it... its something to think about early ... if you in California I'd recommend GoEV www.goevsandiego.com ... they have other sites too
In Japan they have a market segment for basically 'mini-MPVs' (mini-mini-vans) that fit a similar bill - 3 row seating for 7 or 8 depending on the model. They're not crossovers by any measure, more like tall station wagons w/ a 3rd row. Honda Freed, Toyota Sienta are the most popular two. Since they're blockier, you don't have the problem with the sloping rear glass hitting adults in the head in the back. Unfortunately nothing in this segment will be EV any time soon unfortunately, although they do have mild hybrid variants (not even plug in though...)
lol... I wanted to share why this car in particular was so appealing to us... there's like NOTHING even in gas cars, this compact with a 3rd row... its pretty special and a masterclass of interior packaging... hoping it helped! thank you for the kind words and being a subscriber too :) i appreciate you!
3 adults in the 2nd row is very managable... if they're bigger folks that struggle in traditional cars, you might need to go to the uber wide size SUVs but def see if you schedule a test drive and see how it feels over 30 minutes or so. my prediction it'll work well for you
It adds you an extra row of seating. Just the amount of people that you could bring with you compared to bring another vehicle. Think people obviously they are!
yeah you don't lose much from a 5 seater, if you fold the third row... plus even folding 1/2 of the third row gives you a lot of room plus 6 seats... lots of options... good stuff
Great video man, very compelling argument for the 3rd row variant. I’m curious what your experience is like with the USS / parking sensors missing, any issues? Thanks again for a great review!
I never been very keen on a red car because it looks like Im gonna fight a fire, Plus I work right next to a rail track and I was told by a rail employee I'm not allowed to park a red car anywhere near the rail tracks, something to do with danger, never bothered me, Plus never liked dark wheels ,bit dull.. Totally cool car though, way cooler than my little Renault Zoe.
Following up on it, did you get the new 5mp cameras, soft suspension and amd ryzen. If you can do a hardware review it will greatly help. Im waiting on my y 7.

Cool video getting a 7 seater too , we’re small people (Filipino) with our 2 year old daughter the 3 is getting small and our 2016 S is a dinosaur 🦖 lol . Gets my thumbs up 👍
Great video! I really like the idea of this 7 seater for occasional use with adults in second row and kids in third. My concern however is safety of the third row in case of a rear end accident. Looks like occupants are essentially sitting in the trunk! I wonder how much crumple zone there is left to absorb the impact and protect little ones during rear impact. Especially high speed accidents > 40 MPH.
there’s about as much rom behind the third row as any other 3rd row vehicle. Looks at the third row of a minivan for example… but you should always do what you feel is safe!
I’m debating hard between this in the model X because of the third row. The only thing that scares me is the model X looks so complicated and might be a maintenance headache when it’s out of warranty.
Thanks for the review: Would you address one issue that is important for me: How does your Model Y compare to your Model 3 in the bumpiness department? I am talking about shock absorption, the other major factor in the comfort/luxury consideration in addition to the quietness of the ride? And, besides the OP, I would also appreciate comments from anyone with experience/opinions on the matter Thanks again
I was looking for the same. The ride is very important to me. I do not like a "Sporty Ride". I want a 1970s Caddy ride. I have an SUV now that I think is kind of rough.
For a modern day mid tier vehicle, I thought the ride quality is quite harsh. It’s definitely more of a driver’s car than it is a passenger’s. It was a deal breaker for me and I’ll wait til this issue is addressed before buying the y.
They lowered the price but they have increase prices on some areas like the additional seats, chargers. Tesla is smart and they are clearly making sure to find ways to milk their clients.
Happy for the Roy family. Congrats! I look forward to seeing how being a two Tesla family works out with your solar power installation. I really think that Tesla should start to offer bi-directional charging as an option. They have some of the largest batteries in the industry and except for occasional road trips most of the battery goes unused.
Can you put (or borrow) 2 booster seats into the rear Then a rear facing car seat middle row And then 2 & 3 adults That would be awesome to do for us and others!!!
Great review and kids are adorable!! I have booked same colour 7 seated Tesla with Gemini wheels. Have you done full body PPF? It’s so shiny.. do you happen to know if colour fades gradually without PPF?
we did a PPF on our model 3, and I'm thinking nothing fancy on this one. Just wash and wax it once in a while, and keep it garaged. I think you'll be fine without, but a good PPF is always a good investment, but its expensive, and I can't spend anymore money lol
On your prior 7 seater you had the white interior and current you went black interior. Currently debating between the two. Did you have any issues with your white interior? Was it just color preference with the red color to go black?
We have a red Model 3 with a white interior. We have young kids and dogs and the white is surprisingly easy to clean! Even after a puke from the 8 year old the first month we owned it... ew. And, the white looks amazing. Go with whatever color you prefer for sure!
I just ordered a 7 seater last week as well. Should be arriving in a month or so. I saw your front windows have the double pane glass windows. Are the rear passenger windows double pane as well? Or are they still single?
Great video! Is that the standard Tesla red, or a custom paint job? It looks very different (better!) than the red in the design studio on the Tesla website.
Thanks so much... being on UA-cam can be pretty brutal and exhausting, so please never underestimate how amazing it is to hear a comment like yours. it just made my day... thank yoU!
Love my Ylr, but I gotta disagree on the noise. I've never been in one without the noise reduction, but I find it to be pretty loud. Took it on a road trip from OK to Florida and I felt it was about the same as my old Mazda. Audio was awesome though
Oddly, this video seemed washed out and also color saturated at the same time. Almost like you applied an HDR filter to SDR content? Anyway, it's distracting, just FYI. Still an enjoyable video though. Edit: the kids are super cute and you're so sweet with them!
Many years ago, we had a Nissan Pathfinder. Someone in a Ford Econoline van fell asleep behind he wheel and smashed into us from behind at full speed. Thankfully, no one was hurt. We now have a Chevy Suburban (among other cars) and even with the 3rd row, there's plenty of space in the back. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable putting anyone in that 3rd row of seats. I know Tesla's safety rating in crashes is top notch, but if a big car/SUV/van smashes that Model Y from behind and there are people in the 3rd row...let's just say I'd love to see a crash test and see how the dummies fair.

The best picture of me in a car is with my head sticking through the sun roof on the way to lunch in a co-worker's car.
haha! i'd want to see that picture... are you really tall?
@@TwoBitDaVinci My wife would say I am "torso impaired". I will see if I can find the pic.
@@TwoBitDaVinci Found it and sent it.
Great video and family. How is the ride compared to prior model y’s, and how is the assembly quality?😊
@@ChaimLoecher There's no air vents in the 3rd row though.
There's just a few more inches in every direction.
sounds like you thought it through, yeah the Model X is a great next step up, and it sounds like you got a good deal
New handle test
Wish we had the 7 seat option in the UK. Still considering the 5 seat for the extra width and hatch though
Same here. Tried the merc eqb. Zero storage with the 3rd row seats up. No frunk. Not even a location to store a larger phone.
oh the MYP is crazy fast yeah, but doesn't have the 7 seat option. but what a car!
Don’t forget, Rivian or anything else, no Supercharger network.
Oh- you just added that at the end. It’s a very BIG issue with all the others.
Oh, also I nearly forgot, two of our sons have Model Y’s and I am blown away at their efficiency.
agreed... its a little lower than the 3 from what I'm seeing so far, but for a 7 seater EV ... its absolutely amazing
I hadn't thought about that, but right no roof racks on the X! interesting... recommendation for a aero box?
Thanks Ricky. Glad the rain has stopped for you folks.
hey Shaun thank you so much, it appears the worst is behind us and the sun is back out. I appreciate you!
The 7 seater looks quite practical even to move adults family or colleagues to a grill party or any short distance trip, kids will sit comfortably back there!
Loved the video and you have an adorable family. It was very generous of you to share that with your subscribers and viewers. Thanks
You are so kind, and it was our pleasure!
Good review... love the supporting cast ! :)
Great choice. We have the same but midnight silver and Gemini wheels. I absolutely love it
Right on!
I would add the hitch from Tesla, then you could put a bike rack or a kayak carrier on and really increase the functionality. After market hitches are cheaper, but there is considerable removing of panels necessary and i don't know about integration with brake lights and turn signals.
Loving the family involvement!
How is the AC for the 2nd & 3rd row? Do they have dedicated vents? If so, are they on the ceiling or somewhere else?
3rd row there is no AC 😂
Luckily, stroller space isn't a concern for me. Both my 3yo and 6yo have wanted nothing to do with them since they could walk decently well. It can be a little inconvenient sometimes, but I do not miss having to lug those big things around.
yeah I hear that, although our travel stroller in the frunk is clutch
@@TwoBitDaVinci That's such a great idea! I remember the stroller days, and having one on you is a necessity for sure.
Great review and thanks.
hey Mike! first check if you have an electric dryer in the garage, if you do, you can just get a small unit that splits it and chargers the car when you're not doing laundry... that's the cheapest... then getting a NEMA-14-50 240V plug would be second cheapest, and third would be a charger installed. but since tesla stopped giving out chargers when you buy it... its something to think about early ... if you in California I'd recommend GoEV www.goevsandiego.com ... they have other sites too
@@TwoBitDaVinci awesome, thanks. FYI, I put in my order this past weekend for a MY 7 seater. Delivery is Feb-April, hopefully it’s March….🤞
I would pick the model y over the model 3 any day because of the hatch back
SOUND SYSTEM IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME 🤗😁as my name implies 😊
i'd love your opinion of the Y.. . i love music but I'm not an audiophile yet... lol i think it sounds superb

The red looks badass. I think I'm sold on the Y-Long Range Red.
Your kids are adorable. It was fun just watching them be kids. Was this video about something? Were you in it at all? 😊
lol... I wanted to share why this car in particular was so appealing to us... there's like NOTHING even in gas cars, this compact with a 3rd row... its pretty special and a masterclass of interior packaging... hoping it helped! thank you for the kind words and being a subscriber too :) i appreciate you!
Very tempted by the MY but I really need space for three adults in the second row. Is that realistic?
It's only really good for 3 kids or 2 adult's in the second row. We need something bigger.
@@JonathanRootD thanks, it's as I thought
I think you can easily fit 3 adults in the 2nd row. And move the kids to the back. 👍🏻 it is very spacious
@@claudiaroy9455 not an option in the UK yet
3 adults in the 2nd row is very managable... if they're bigger folks that struggle in traditional cars, you might need to go to the uber wide size SUVs but def see if you schedule a test drive and see how it feels over 30 minutes or so. my prediction it'll work well for you
It adds you an extra row of seating. Just the amount of people that you could bring with you compared to bring another vehicle. Think people obviously they are!
Go road tripping with 5 seats you will be very disappointed.
yeah you don't lose much from a 5 seater, if you fold the third row... plus even folding 1/2 of the third row gives you a lot of room plus 6 seats... lots of options... good stuff
The real problem is airflow and cooling for 3rd row. Need some fans + shade for rear glass...
Great points! I agree 100% with this being the best family EV right now. I’m in the same boat with 2 kids, a model 3, and 7-seater model Y on order.
nice! what spec did you go with?

Great video man, very compelling argument for the 3rd row variant. I’m curious what your experience is like with the USS / parking sensors missing, any issues? Thanks again for a great review!
I never been very keen on a red car because it looks like Im gonna fight a fire, Plus I work right next to a rail track and I was told by a rail employee I'm not allowed to park a red car anywhere near the rail tracks, something to do with danger, never bothered me, Plus never liked dark wheels ,bit dull.. Totally cool car though, way cooler than my little Renault Zoe.
I like the red but will prefer the White.
our 3 was white, we thought we'd mix it up, but I LOVE the white Teslas
White on white is the way to go 😎
Your y has matrix lights. Do you mind sharing where it was built and how are they compared to the reflector m3.

Gets my thumbs up 👍
I think you'll love the Y 7 seater... good call!
Is there any heated seats at the 3rd row?
Does the 3rd row seat have heated seat?
Great video! I really like the idea of this 7 seater for occasional use with adults in second row and kids in third. My concern however is safety of the third row in case of a rear end accident. Looks like occupants are essentially sitting in the trunk! I wonder how much crumple zone there is left to absorb the impact and protect little ones during rear impact. Especially high speed accidents > 40 MPH.
there’s about as much rom behind the third row as any other 3rd row vehicle. Looks at the third row of a minivan for example… but you should always do what you feel is safe!
Tesla rear end takes semi hits well
I’m debating hard between this in the model X because of the third row. The only thing that scares me is the model X looks so complicated and might be a maintenance headache when it’s out of warranty.
#1 reason as a family car: Safety!
yes!!
7-seater modelY is the ultimate family EV ( the price reduction now makes it even more awesome )
If the information is correct the 7 seat model doesn’t qualify for the tax break.
@@waywardgeologist2520 it does
It's too small for us. EV9 looks promising.
yes it does. the 7 seater qualifies even better because it gets SUV status... if you get a 5th row, you have to keep the options low to qualify
Think i agree!
Thanks for the review:
Would you address one issue that is important for me: How does your Model Y compare to your Model 3 in the bumpiness department? I am talking about shock absorption, the other major factor in the comfort/luxury consideration in addition to the quietness of the ride?
And, besides the OP, I would also appreciate comments from anyone with experience/opinions on the matter
Thanks again
I was looking for the same. The ride is very important to me. I do not like a "Sporty Ride". I want a 1970s Caddy ride. I have an SUV now that I think is kind of rough.
For a modern day mid tier vehicle, I thought the ride quality is quite harsh. It’s definitely more of a driver’s car than it is a passenger’s. It was a deal breaker for me and I’ll wait til this issue is addressed before buying the y.
Thanks for showing that the seven seater is a waste of money.
lol... ok? its great for us, we LOVE it. if it isn't for you, get something else! cheers
They lowered the price but they have increase prices on some areas like the additional seats, chargers. Tesla is smart and they are clearly making sure to find ways to milk their clients.
They run a business not a charity. Marketing has its value
well its smart, and still way cheaper... like the 7 seats raises the tax credit limit, so if you need it its still covered... so kinda smart actually
Great video. Thank you for sharing.
not sure if it's been said, but frunk is smaller because of the HEPA filter. Model 3 does not have that, even new ones.

Thanks for taking time to write, I appreciate it, cheers!
Happy for the Roy family. Congrats! I look forward to seeing how being a two Tesla family works out with your solar power installation. I really think that Tesla should start to offer bi-directional charging as an option. They have some of the largest batteries in the industry and except for occasional road trips most of the battery goes unused.
Can you put (or borrow) 2 booster seats into the rear
Then a rear facing car seat middle row
And then 2 & 3 adults
That would be awesome to do for us and others!!!
Tow hitch on model Y is also useful
Great review and kids are adorable!! I have booked same colour 7 seated Tesla with Gemini wheels. Have you done full body PPF? It’s so shiny.. do you happen to know if colour fades gradually without PPF?
we did a PPF on our model 3, and I'm thinking nothing fancy on this one. Just wash and wax it once in a while, and keep it garaged. I think you'll be fine without, but a good PPF is always a good investment, but its expensive, and I can't spend anymore money lol
Great video! Thank you!
You bet!
Great video!!!
Thank you Jonathan!
Ricky, thank you introducing your awesome family. And also, that’s one gorgeous car!! Love it in red
Alex thank you so much!
Ricky, @4:10 that's a _Shiplap_ of PV Panels installation
Safety !!! Does the rear trunk bounce back up if it sense something is too bulky or if an arm is in the way?
Or are they still single?
just the front, from what I saw on mine. but overall the car is so much quieter than their older cars... really impressive and comfy on trips
Thanks for the quick response! I saw the Berlin made ones already have the double panes in the rears. Was hoping it made its way to the US by now.
Did I see that there’s no cargo cover included for 7 seater? I think there’s no lip for a cargo cover compared to the 5 seater?
I Thị k you’re right … need to look at after market options
@@TwoBitDaVinci I see abstract ocean has something but is out of stock at the moment. Would love to know if you find some good options.
The 3500lbs tow capacity also adds to the desirability.
true! i might have to add a tow hitch at some point and test it out
Great video! Is that the standard Tesla red, or a custom paint job? It looks very different (better!) than the red in the design studio on the Tesla website.

Which stroller model in the back?
its a Uppababy Vista
Love my Ylr, but I gotta disagree on the noise. I've never been in one without the noise reduction, but I find it to be pretty loud. Took it on a road trip from OK to Florida and I felt it was about the same as my old Mazda. Audio was awesome though
Which camera is recording this? It looks amazing...
Sony FX3
Do you think the red will get hotter than the white?
Unfortunately yes, but not by much
It’ll fade much faster. Fellow San Deigan
2 strollers side by side, vertically in the back?
it will depend on the stroller and how massive it is... top tip, get a travel compact stroller that fits in the frunk, that's huge for us
A double Zoe stroller fits great and the bumbleride is so tight but I’ll fit if you take out the tires.
Congrats, as they say...timing is everything! Probably happy you waited for a year with price drop and $7500 credit eligibility?
Oddly, this video seemed washed out and also color saturated at the same time. Almost like you applied an HDR filter to SDR content? Anyway, it's distracting, just FYI. Still an enjoyable video though.
Edit: the kids are super cute and you're so sweet with them!
Sorry about that, we'll check it out, and thank yoU!
How is the ride vs. the Model 3? I have a 2018 Model 3 and don't like the rough ride on MN roads in the winter.
must more on the comfort side than the 3
@@TwoBitDaVinci - Thanks for your prompt reply. I really like your videos.
Great video, very detailed!
Could you review the EV-9 when it comes out later this year? We really need a mid size SUV for the masses.
oh absolutely!
It's not coming out this year, lol. Maybe 2024.
would the 2 wheel drive to the trick for my family? we do camping and snow bording and we live somwere where the eather is really windy
rear wheel drive is probably fine for most, unless you have heavy snow etc... Long range rear wheel drive is the longest range option too
Many years ago, we had a Nissan Pathfinder.
I know Tesla's safety rating in crashes is top notch, but if a big car/SUV/van smashes that Model Y from behind and there are people in the 3rd row...let's just say I'd love to see a crash test and see how the dummies fair.
you should always do what you feel is best and safe for sure!
