    I played a standard chess game as black with time controls set at 15 minutes with a 2 second increment against Computer4 Impossible. The opening played was the Queen Pawn Game. Surprisingly enough, after just 12 moves, a position arises in this one that is nearly completely symmetrical with black being up one tempo. After playing, I briefly review the game with the help of Stockfish 6 (64-bit).

    There are 2 types of Jerry's videos that make me happy most:
    1) Standart games w/ commentary
    2) Top players' games review
    And yours?

    when you went for the knight exchange in the beginning you lost time because you had to retreat with the bishop in the end being chased away by the knight, which you did not want to exchange understandably

    I don't know what you saw so unappealing about c5 early on. I really liked the idea of c5 with the center breaking open and you up a tempo. B5 ends up being hard to utilize for white.

    I saw the a5 idea immediately, thought it was bad because it wasn't mentioned. glad to see the computer affirming it.
    Though I also considered Rad8 to put the Bishop back to c8 and protect the b pawn as he only has a rook that can attack it; but that would be bad in the case of the minority attack leaving a backward c pawn.

    Hey Jerry. Yet another great video. It looks like you're getting Stockfish to analyse directly against the chess.com live analysis window. How do you do that? Is that some browser extension?

    As a ~1400 player I was super satisfied that I noticed that B7 could be defended by pushing the A pawn and lifting the rook.

    Wow very instructional. That h4 line though... pretty wild. Not a line you'd want to play against a computer lol. I saw the a5 idea but I didn't like the rook on a7, I'm pretty surprised that the computer justified that move. I also figured e5 would allow your bishop out and improve your position significantly. Computer doesn't like to do that, it doesn't simplify or break through if it doesn't objectively improve its position even if it is the "easy" way for a human to win.

  • @ManuelMagnifico
    @ManuelMagnifico 9 років тому

    Move 3, if you play Bf5 and computer plays Nh4, you can take the Knight on b2 and then play e5 attacking the Knight on h4 with your queen. When it comes back to F3, then e5 is good.

    I see what you did there. You saw my Jerry vs. Stockfish suggestion and chickened out - instead went for a nooblet that holds 0% change against Stockfish. A great game, nevertheless. BUT I STILL WANT JERRY VS. STOCKFISH.

      Maybe Jerry (With 15 computer move consultation) vs Stockfish would be a more even pairing and more interesting game. Just my 2 cents though.

    • @monemal-semien4548
      @monemal-semien4548 9 років тому

      And plus, Jerry most probably didn't chicken out of it. He uploads what he thinks is entertaining, being crushed by Stockfish isn't really entertaining.

    • @ChessNetwork

      Positive numbers say white is better...Negative numbers say black is better. The further the number is from 0, the greater the advantage.

    Why do you want the knights of against the computer?

    • @strongside4565
      @strongside4565 9 років тому +1

      +Andriy Boubriak The computer is very tricky with the knight and will sometimes set up combos that result in forks. In a time controlled game it is hard to think far enough ahead to deal with knight tactics from a strong computer.
