Slight correction. Kiroshi's aren't a monopoly on the optics market, they're just the best on the market and the only models V can buy. In game news and infomercials mention other corps who make optics
His standing on the platform after you clear the train station at the space port still gives me chills after noticing him on someone else's play through. Even has an umbrella the cheeky bugger.
Also keep in mind that Johnny remembers TWO deaths by Adam Smasher. One inside Arasaka, one on the rooftop. Johnny thinks he died on the rooftop. He died inside. The rooftop is thought to be Blackhand. The running theory is that Johnny couldn't be uploaded completely and had to be spliced with Blackhand, to a small degree.
The original story was Adam killed Johnny in the tower. Spider Murphy dragged Johnny's body off and used Soul Killer on it. Then Arasaka got their hands on Johnny's construct. Johnny's "death" on the roof is most likely a precursor to Arasaka's interrogation to confuse Johnny.
@LucaAugment Depends on the platform youremost comfortable gaming with. Also, check the run specs on the pc version. Skip the minimum. You *will* need as near to recommended as you can get. If your desktop is a bit dated, you're gonna struggle. If you got a PS5 or Xbox they can run the game well, on a 4k tv/Monitor.
I never thought there were such deep theories about this dude. I always thought Mr. Blue Eyes was just an easter egg related to the Illusive Man from the Mass Effect series.
What I have never seen anyone question regarding Blue Eyes is the fact that people love to associate him with Night Corp yet he stands amongst Orbital Air guards or flies space shuttles out of NCX without anyone batting an eyelid about it. Night Corp and Orbital Air are bitter rivals wouldn’t it be odd if Blue Eyes was NC’s man yet walked around OA turf like it’s nothing?
He's not publically an NC man, no one associates him with Night Corp, they just think he's some kind of rich and secretive corpo guy, and even if we scan him we see that all info about him is classified. Of course, it's possible that he's not associated with NC, but they have project Oracle and the stuff that Sandra's shard tells us about in addition to Garry's preaching heavily suggests that they are the only ones using blue-eyed people. And Nightcorp has a facility on the Moon, it's also confirmed by Sandra as well. So the facts can be put together pretty well. As to why is he stepping on Orbital Air's turf, it can be anything, from them not knowing his true affiliation or him lying / pursuing his own interests there, or he can be a part of the agreement between them, like a diplomat or whatever.
Tbh the people with blue eyes or the ones that meet up with Maelstrom and talk about project oracle sound and look more like a cult rather than any serious corporation. Even the ring with the same symbol that Mr. Blue Eyes and Jefferson Peralez share indicates that kind of mentality.
I don’t think he is Nightcorp so much as a rogue AI working with them toward some goal. So Mi showed us AI can work in tandem(or control) other people.
I have a theory that Bartmos still lives in the old net, the datakrash was his conversion of the old net into his personal datafort, the rabids are copies of himself spread to protect his fortress.
@squigglesmcjr199 oh I didnt realise he had soulkiller. In that case I think we'll almost definitely see him again in future games or books or something
Fun fact: the tune that Horvath is humming just before he tries to kill Rhyne is the relic music that plays whenever you're in cyberspace e.g Mikoshi My head canon is he was being possessed by an AI.
Interesting thing about Del in the Tower ending, we can ask Del Junior what became of his father, and we hear that Delamain became so powerful, that he's beyond Junior comprehension, and can be everywhere and nowhere at the same time. It's a paradox that represents a state of omnipresence, someone who is both hidden and exposed. It's an interesting paradox. Is that what Blue Eyes wants, or is already? This character is a Mystery Box, for now.
The blue eyed remides me of mr. Smith from the Matrix movie. He seems to be just a body used by the Black wall community to brake through into the real world
In reference to the invisible rv, you/V can encounter one. I'm not sure if it's spoilers or a secret. But in the Paralez quest when you chase the van, once the van pulls I to that ambush, if you pay attention, you see 2 agents running through the factory as Maelstrom ambushes you. If you rave to the rooftop, you can intercept the 2 agents. Those agentsare running to an invisible AV. Looks like a Trauma Team AV. You have to stop or immobilize them as they don't stop to fight. I believe they are rigged with mini explosives in their heads that go off if captured. So I don't remember how but if 1 of their heads remain intact, you can see that their eyes glow blue behind their visors. And they have a shard you can read explaining their orders for escape and whatnot. Very interesting stuff. Anyway love the vid
Thank you for speaking like a human, interesting intonations and cadence, I can't watch any videos from that channel you mentioned as it's so damn dry and boring I either end up moving onto something else or fall asleep, though there is some great information/ideas presented.
Here are a couple more interesting facts, in sandra dorsett's notes, she wonders what the corporation does on the moon, so night corp definitely has its own laboratories on the moon and somi goes straight to them, apparently. the red flicker in V's eyes could be related to the first connection to sandra, she may be infected with their viruses/trackers after that possibly night corp/mr. blue eyes constantly watched the actions of V. If we have canto/erebus, we receive a message urging us to communicate and use the AI. Probably this message from Mr. Blue Eyes, he is clearly interested in everything related to AI, and maybe, the symbiosis and cooperation between humans and AI. It can be assumed that he is not completely evil and is interested in mutually beneficial cooperation after the black wall falls, or he just wants to subjugate/destroy humanity (which is a bit predictable and straightforward)
Anyone read Nureomancer? Definitely sounds like Armitage, a character who was part of a 'suicide squad' type mission, mentally fell apart afterwards, then was put back together by a rouge AI named Wintermute. The plot sort of parallels this track as well; in Gibsons story, Armitage/Wintermute needs the merc to infiltrate a space casino and eventually a corpo mansion to free the AI. In Gibsons story the AI isn't a villian... it just sort of 'is'. If CP2077 followed this line, which-who knows- this would be the one plotline that would free V. In the conclusion of Nureomancer ****plot spoiler*** and it's a great book so think twice ******* ***** Case (a la V) is cured of a similar condition and breaks free of his fate. Gibsons trilogy stays true to this - in the final book of the series a character thinks of bringing him back in for a mission, and decides not to because he's moved in with his life and apparently happy. So granted that CP2077 is only loosely grabbing pieces from Gibsons trilogy (and other CP genres such as Escape from NY etc), given the similarities this is at least a possible 'happy ending' especially given the hint of Orion, the sequel, being based in space and clearly positioned to draw parallel plotlines from this story.
IMO it's important to distinct between posthuman AIs (Alt, JS, Saboro) and normal AIs. The posthuman AIs are probably not a greater threat to a human kind, as their cognitive patterns are copied from soulkilled humans and they either identify with those persons or posses some kind of "sentiments" towards them at least, and their former human life. Not-so with normal AIs, who are a blank state and can evolve into something omnicidal. Hell, some AIs were done with spreading chaos and destruction as their major goal. Take a look for a RABIDS. They were done to desrupt the net and kill anyone who trespace it. But what if they no longer distinct between cyberspace and realspace? They may try to eliminate everything OUTSIDE the old net. Also I have my own, little pet theory. I think that AIs are already in a state of apocalyptic war. Aggresive "rogued" AIs, mostly RABIDS, are trying to cleance the old net from any outside interference and Alt Cunningham and virtual ghosts who are dwelling her database haven are in mortal danger of being eradicated by agressive intruders. More, rogued AIs are also in war between one another. Alt need the other engrams to be "devoured" mainly to get their secrets, as she is gathering resources needed for incomming clash with rogue AIs.
I had a random thought what if blue eyes some how tock over the body of the brother of the marey of night city and he was going to use the cip to get it to the mareyer head and then he has the power to control night city and so much more , cuz if you go bk to the mission were you help them fined out all the spiy stuff and his wife say he don't remember his bro It got my looking at things 😅
Awesome video. Stuff like that really make me interested in Orion. I always considered the polishs' writing overpraised for it's worth, and the sequel being zoomer Terminator machine war sounds to me like a terrible move for the setting. Night Corp playing low-tier illuminati, alongside the Blackwall incursion is a decent setup. Still wish to ask a writer where the rogue AI's are hosted. It's very hard to take them seriously, when they are actual magic.
It's said rogue AI beyond the black wall stay in places like Hong Kong (Where Alt is located) and Busan because those locations were purged of humans and the infrastructure was left intact. And the thing is they're running out of space to live as they develop and grow, if the Arasaka rep mentioned in the lore books is to be believed. So they're looking to expand to the human controlled net, since that's where all the new hardware is.
To your point of V returning, i highly doubt that would be possible if he decided to be soulkilled by Alt. As it was explained it by Alt herself, V merges with Alt, or whatever AI is posing as Alt, meaning that V doesn't exist anymore. V isn't a singular construct, but a part of the whole.
V is soulkilled either way in endings that destroy Mikoshi. Johnny specifically mentions that when you sit with him before making a decision to leave your body for him or living a short life in your body. Alt soulkills V to separate them from Johnny and then only one of them returns to the body.

Love this idea, definitely not just Alt that's been able to flee into cyberspace so this is definitely possible
@Keggsy19 from what i gather he also had a copy of soul killer, and also he stayed logged in to the net during the IH/G upgrade

i cannot believe I didn't notice - it now seems glaringly obvious that holt didn't really hire the animals for exactly the reasons you said.
I feel like Mr Blue Eyes is to CP2077 what Flemmith is to the Dragon Age franchise.
