Aside from uploading my runs, i like to make videos to address topics that maybe haven't been (like crew kills of scrap spending) as well as make some tier list stuff, to perhaps sneak in some learning in disguise (tier list videos are so easy to make, and are my most popular vids by far). A handful of people have expressed interest into the history of FTL streaking and other things.
Seeing the differences in self-determined rules between players was very eye opening. For Streaker Parity, I propose players Stream with their pause key smashed off with a hammer, and in a wifi-free chamber where they cannot be backseated by chat or access the wiki. The only cheat sheets allowed must be handwritten. Ship selection must be determined by horoscope (the interpretation of which is decided by the streamer, because Astrology. If it sounds like a Slug C day, then it is). Alternatively, build a third and fourth meta of maximum Speed Hack enabled 100% of the time. And then we can have Pausers and No Pausers trying to manage that.
Farb has played a single run at 2x speed. the lack of official rules is a boon and a curse. It's great that players have options and if you can't stream because bad internet or just not being comfortable streaming, you can still be recognized for your achievement. on the other hand, some people could lie or try to change some rules. I sort of hope those people look at the list and embrace the idea that different isn't bad.
