How To Double Fault Less In Tennis (Strategy & Technique Explained)
1. Since half of all double faults land in the net, by simply focusing on aiming higher over the net you’ll reduce double faults
2. Try keeping your tossing arm arm so long that you feel like you’re crossing your wrists immediately after contact

Darn I missed this. I'm on the waitlist. 🙂
Interesting, I’ll try this. For rec players I’d say the number one match toss tip is, never hit a bad toss. Even if your toss technique is terrible, you will eventually toss in the right spot.
Thanks so much!!!
Thanks very much for your help.
Thanks for all the hard work teaching us online ❤
Absolutely brilliant with the technique.
Cheers!

this wwas so helpful, I have second round of tryouts tomorrow, and i feel like this might have saved me
Oh I’m so glad to hear this can help you. Good luck tomorrow and keep me posted, ok?
I like this wrist tip Ryan with useful stats, thanks 🎾
Can't wait to try it...Thanks Ryan!
Thank you!
Happy to help Laura!
I totally agree. My DF's happen when I slow down my swing and don't leave my tossing arm up long enough
Hope this helps correct that for you Angel.
I’m constantly shelling it into the net, so will try this in my next session - thanks Ryan
I wanna try with the same racket, key to success! The pink will disturb my opponent for sure.
A 100% applicable for our girls HS tennis team.
great video sir!
appreciate the support!
@@2MinuteTennis no problem man!
How do I go about sending you video for analysis? Do I have to book you for a Teams/Zoom lesson? I've been working hard on my serve lately, and I'm definitely happier with it than I was before, but I pronate really early and I feel like I'm doing a kind of high level push disguised as a snapped, pronated serve.
Ryan lookin extra fine todag
Surprise. I expected to be told to spin the ball more, as in a slice or kick serve.
The statistics on double faults tell me to kick the ball on 2nd serves.
Has Coco Gauff not learned these lessons?
I didn't find this tip valuable.
Sorry to hear that!
@@2MinuteTennis I kept overthinking it to make the transition with the toss and racket passover and missed the hitting point
@@iceman1125 then just do it shadow swinging and don’t actually do it when serving.
@@2MinuteTennis cool thanks, do you have any other insights on reducing double faults/. I do it too often and sometimes lose all confidence on second.
@@iceman1125 yes. In the search bar on UA-cam type in “2MinuteTennis double faults”. You’ll see many videos I’ve made on the subject. Thanks!!
sorry to say but better ways to reduce number of double faults are in the comments...
Thanks for commenting!

@@puzzleguzzler "never hit a bad toss", "slice or kick serve"
@@wkozwkoz6255 ah, of course . . . so all the pros who hit all those double-faults into the net hit bad throws or didn't know how to slice or kick serve? Rrrrriiiiiiight . . . You know, if something helps me, is it "better" than something different that helps you? (careful, it's a trick question . . . )
@@DustyDingoPhotos Yes... you are right.. they don't cross their wrists during serves.. that's way they make so many double faults :) but being more serious.. the problem was: how to serve higher over the net? and the first and only answer to this is.. to cross your wrists.. really ? :O .. sounds like a joke... similiar to the one that 600 $ value course is sold for 67 $ .. :)
