Baluva lunar watch I think is the best cheap speedmaster homage on the market but the PD version is good
I would have expected the PD-1717, the Longines Spirit homage v2 on this list. On little thing I noticed and can't unsee anymore: the two-tone Blackbay chrono looks like C-3PO!
Lol, now you've said that, I can see the similarities to C3PO! To a Star Wars fan like me, that just adds to its appeal 😁 That's fair enough, re the 1717, I've not had the pleasure of reviewing that yet but from what I've seen of it, it probably is one of their best watches. I only have one PD watch, the PD-1717 in the green. Very impressed with it. Far better than I expected. Case and dial finishing looks great to me. Bracelet is pretty good too.

I've got almost 10 pagani watches, and the one I never see anyone talk about is the PD-1649, but it's one of my absolute favorites. I have it in blue and it's absolutely beautiful. The only downside to it is that the bezel has just a little bit of forward play in between clicks. If they re-released it with an updated bezel I'd ABSOLUTELY Double dip. My second favorite is the 1717 V2 in white, which is just stunning, but was a bit smaller than I expected.
I'm hoping to get the PD1717 V2 at some stage, I've heard lots of good things about it. Thanks for watching!
Great round up mate, some solid picks here from their massive range. Based on my own experience probably the 1664 is the best bang for buck on this list.

I've the v3 moon homage , stunning , swapped the strap right away and onto a black leathe, heard it was bad so didn't even attempt to size it.

The airking is definitely the best, I have one. Wears perfectly, water resistant, sapphire etc. Bracelet needs some fettling though. Also managed to get the timing almost spot on, inc. beat error. I wear this watch before my others..

It was the PD or the Seiko SNXS-79. I chose the Seiko even with the older movement. I needed the day, date & lume more than hand winding & hacking. Plus it has the Seiko X-factor.

That's a solid top 5 there, you can't go wrong with any of them in my opinion. I have the 1644 and already had my eye on 3 of the others in your top 5 and really would like to own them so will be picking up at least 1 maybe 2 of them during this sale.

i just received my item. do i need to buy battery for this? I can’t seem to get it to start. It’s a pd-1644.
@@thecarlob_007 It's a quartz so has a battery. Did you buy it brand new? The sub dial at the 6 o'clock position should be ticking, mine was working when I received it from Ali Express
@@nickbeech501 yup, ordered it directly from the pagani store. Sub-dial is running but when I set the time and date and return the crown to its original position, the second hand doesn’t begin moving.
@@thecarlob_007 the second hand doesn't move in normal time keeping mode, it stays at the 12 o'clock position. It only moves when you activate the chronograph by unscrewing and then pushing the top pusher

My favorite Pagani Design is the PD-YS008: (a) It has a VK63 movement; (b) it doesn't have a rotating bezel, so there's no issues with sloppiness or bezel bcckplay; (c) it comes on a strap, so there's no issues with subpar bracelets or sharp clasps; and (d) It's an homage to the AP CODE 1159, a watch that certainly hasn't been over-homaged.
I've been tempted by that one a few times, I have to get it in sometime, as it's not been reviewed enough on UA-cam, thanks for watching!
@@TimeForAnotherWatch I quite like the head of that piece but I've got a really large wrist so I'm always weary of watches on a strap because they frequently just aren't long enough.
Add in the PD2720k. It's an older model but just so beautiful especially in the cream dial and rose gold case.

I bought the pd 1701 v3, and it came with the sharp edges, which don't bother me much, but the tachymetre hand isn't perfectly aligned ,and my bottom pusher gets stuck. Should I send it back?
I could potentially live with the other issues but I'd probably send it back for the sticking pusher, especially if I used the chrono a lot and if the free return service is available.

The PD1723 is simply I think it is the best watch from Pagani Design…especially the matt black dail….simple elegant and stunning….I have few local Rolex and luxury brands fanboy even commented that it is a stunning little China made cheap watch!

I have to say, I bought a Corgeut speedy homage and the style never stuck, however the Daytona homage is wonderful for less than sixty quid. I genuinely have no idea how they make money….
I had the Corgeut homage as well and although it's a great bargain, I have to say I much prefer the PD version. I've also often wondered how PD make a profit on their Daytona homages. Thanks for watching!
The Baluva lunar is the best cheap speedmaster homage on the market imo

I wonder how much does it cost for them to actually use bgw9 lume? Steeldive can do it for around the same price but steeldive lacks models whereas pagani's have so much quality options just the lume is meh

Why do you always say synthetic sapphire crystal? Is it sapphire or no? I just am confused.
Every watch I have ever looked at uses synthetic sapphire crystal. The supplier grows their own crystals. Still sapphire but probably get consistent and better quality for the purpose and far less cost.
Just got the 1651 today and it won’t run for more than 2 minutes.
That the YM2 homage, right? If so, I've not had that one so far. It's running the NH35? If so, it's unusual for that to be unreliable, unless it got damaged in transit. Apologies if this is a silly question but you've already tried topping up the power reserve by manual winding?

@@dunboozin Sorry to hear you've had these issues, it's a lovely watch alright, I've nearly bought it a few times.
Tried to get a Pagani in the last sale, the watch never got to me, they didn't want to make a second attempt, and my money was refunded. It looks like the watch will be over £10 more expensive in this sale, so I really can't bring myself to pay more even if the watch gets delivered.
My experience with what might have been the first of many Pagani's has killed the brand for me. In the same sale I bought yet another Steeldive, and that had a small tear in the strap...they had a new replacement strap posted and delivered while Pagani were still leaving me hanging on trying to figure out what was going on with their delivery.
Some PD watches look great, but it seems fate is saying they are not for me.

@@violinmke I will lose money on the deal...I bought a watch which didn't get delivered and they didn't want to try and help sort out the delivery, and now in this sale that same watch is more money. That would be me paying more for the same product, with a really extended delivery time as well.
Not a chance I'm going for that. I have bought loads of things off AliExpress, and with watches have only had 2 bad things happen (both in the last sale), Steeldive stepped up and totally nailed customer service, PD wasted my time, gave no help, and as a result tied up my money for weeks until the refund.
For the love of god not more pd...🤣
