I've been waiting for a review of this one. It looks so good in the brown imo. It's just a great looking watch, and im really thinking of pulling the trigger, but im waiting to see their new really colorful divers, especially the watermellon one.

I have several SM watches and all are finished very well. Shipping was fine from China to the US. All watches seemed to be regulated, as they all keep good time. All that said, SM needs to move away from the NH35 for their no date watches. The NH38 is available, for the price they are charging they just should make the change. Typed this before hearing your comments on the movement - you are right.

I own a Turor Black Bay but I'd have no issue wearing a San Martin. They put alot of care into their watches for the price,. I do agree with the ghodt date issue however. It's time they addressed that once and for all.

It my favorite but good review as always. I just got the watchdives nttd. It’s awesome. Running in COSC standards and fits my wrist well. Titanium makes it so lite. Only issue is the bezel. I know it’s titanium but I’ve had way better titanium bezels. I’m happy with the watch tho

SM is the new Seiko. I sold 3 seikos and bought 2 SM to replace them :P
Had to return my sn 0192 because it had quite the obvious QC flaw.
Let’s see how this process turns out. Glad I ordered via AliExpress.

Hands down a Jubilee is the most comfortable bracelet out there , but in this instance with the polished centre links it detracts too much from the dial. A fully brushed oyster 'style' would suit it much better in my opinion or something akin to the Uncle Seiko Lincoln ( which I have on my BB58 as the OG bracelet is shite ! ). However my main bugbear with San Martin watches , with the exception of one and I have mentioned this elsewhere , is that ruddy hexagonal logo as it puts me off a cracking looking piece time and again. Anyways nicely done review.

I had this watch with the red bezel, really nice watch but the lug to lug was on the larger side. Would like to see this with a couple of mm reduced.

I actually purchased one of these very recently. I own a few high end watches but am happy to accomodate anything i like in the collection. I love warm tones and gold in watches and this looked great online and is even better in the flesh. However...the bracelet is VERY edgy indeed. Top and underside, so much so that I will be rounding off the underside edges myself as it does become uncomfortable after a period of wear. All in all very happy though...it costs 1% of some of my other pieces, so there really is no argument in terms of bang for buck!
Thanks for the info. It's interesting to hear that your bracelet is also very edgy underneath. On mine, it's only slightly edgy underneath...and only on the far corners of the links. This dial really could've done without the white text. Not every watch needs to have that, especially if you're just printing it over the dial pattern as an afterthought without even bothering to match the color to the pallete.

I have a Tudor Prince Oysterdate too. Nice watch; have had it for 40 years. Impresses people; but the San Martin has a better crystal, more water resistance, better lume and better bracelet for 1/10 th the price. Most people don't know that some Seikos were 'cased' in China. My point; Chinese watches match Japanese and are an incredible value.

I’ve had a few SM watches, great quality but you gamble with the colours. They really struggle with blue and the colour never matches the website images.
They are a nightmare to return to, they request you post it tracked/recorded but then refuse to refund you the postage costs. Poor customer service. Be careful with your colours!
Matching screen colours to real life colours is an issue for all watch makers, not just one brand. There are variances in the way that peoples' screens are calibrated...and that's just one factor to consider. From someone who sometimes films blue dial watches; blue is one of the most difficult colours to capture correctly. Most AliExpress watches are sold these days with the "free returns" facility. So, if you are not happy with your watch, in most cases you should be able to just raise a dispute direct with AliExpress within 90 days of the order (rather than the store) and receive a full refund. AliExpress even pay for the return postage for the first return. There are more details about this on AliExpress and this info can be accessed via the original order screen.
@@TimeForAnotherWatch unfortunately the colour of the bezel and dial didn’t match. The bezel was more blue/purple and the dial was more blue/green. It looked awful despite the website showing the bezel and dial as matching colour. Also I’d purchased direct from the San Martin website. They conned me into paying premium return cost to China before telling me they wouldn’t cover the return cost.

Can’t do to homage watches. Plenty of room for unique features without ripping off Tudor, Rolex, Longines, etc.

San martin should stop with the close homages and start deisgning their own watches more they have the quality they dont need to hang off others coat tails

Beware collectors, I constantly hear reviews showering sm with praise regarding their quality. I've purchased 2 of their watches in the high $200 to $325 range. Both had stripped screws in their SS bracelets, preventing those links from being removed when I needed to size the bracelets. $125 Pagani Design watches never have this problem, and I own over 10 PDs.
Sorry to hear that. That's not been my experience with San Martin bracelets. I've never had a stripped screw from them and I've lost count of the number of their watches that I've had.
I’ve had maybe 20 of them and never had a stripped screw. I’ve stripped a few myself but that’s my fault.

It's a similar pattern to the CW12 but I think the CW12 is a bit more complex. I had that PD. It was OK IMHO but not in the same league as this SM. Thanks for watching 👍👍
