Ry Cooder,a legend of song and slider on guitar in his performance and entertainment..To all fans the world over, this song dedicated to you..a great singer and rhythem is awesome..great backup singers and the band is terrific..never forgotten..still listening in 2022...
From the "Bop till you Drop" album.....THE FIRST album ever recorded DIGITALLY....Listen to it and be AMAZED as his fingers POP off those guitar strings....prepare to be amazed.....
Finally, an Arthur Alexander cover! Arthur has been unjustly forgotten. Thank god people like Ry, Elvis, The Beatles, Bob Dylan & The Stones gave him whatever credit they could through covering his music.

Best slide guitarist.
Very few come close to Ry's . This is what American roots music is all about. Real
Cooder has always selected outstanding tunes to cover. This classic by the overlooked genius, Arthur Alexander, is an example.
He sure does, Little sister and this are good examples. Elvis's recording of Little Sister was horrible.

Beautiful arrangement. Ry is great.
Arthur Alexander was amazing. Great soulful tunes, dynamite vocals.
I just love this. Can't get enough.
It's so pretty! So was Ry.
He still is.
I 've listened to a lot of Ry, and watched a lot of his videos on YT, but this one's new to me, and as usual, an absolute gem!

Two Justin Bieber fans just stumbled by.

Is it called The Old Grey Whistle Test because the engineers don't know how to manage sound levels or feed back? :D
On Little Sister you can hardly hear the guitar solo at all
@@BlankJohnA But on "How can a poor man stand such times and live ?", we can hear such a beautiful solo.
Digitizing old films is sometimes difficult.
