- In this video we give you a map tour to help you better understand the Astoria/Warrenton area.
Astoria is a city in Clatsop County, Oregon, United States. It is the oldest American settlement west of the Rocky Mountains, and was founded in 1811 by John Jacob Astor. Astoria is located at the mouth of the Columbia River, where it meets the Pacific Ocean. The city is known for its rich history, its scenic beauty, and its vibrant arts and culture scene.
Some of the most popular tourist attractions in Astoria include the Astoria Column, Fort Astoria National Historic Site, the Clatsop County Historical Society Museum, and the Columbia River Maritime Museum. Astoria is also a great place to go hiking, biking, fishing, boating, and whale watching.
Warrenton is a city in Clatsop County, Oregon, United States. It is located 5 miles west of Astoria, across Youngs Bay. Warrenton is a major commercial fishing port, and is also home to Fort Stevens State Park, which is one of the largest state parks in Oregon. Some of the most popular tourist attractions in Warrenton include the Fort Stevens State Park Lighthouse, the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, and the Warrenton Marsh National Wildlife Refuge. Warrenton is also a great place to go hiking, biking, fishing, bird watching, and camping. Both Astoria and Warrenton are charming cities with a lot to offer visitors. Whether you're interested in history, nature, or just a relaxing getaway, you're sure to find something to love in this part of Oregon.

Safeway is the major grocery store serving Astoria. Costco is only 10 minutes drive away across the bridge that connects Astoria with Warrenton.

Hey! I love your videos! In this one you mentioned something I would like to hear more about. I am a healthcare worker (mammography/x-ray) looking to relocate to Oregon in 2025. You mentioned Astoria as having a large hospital but mention there are a few other large hospital systems on the Oregon coast. Could you possibly make a video where you say what cities those larger healthcare systems are? I think healthcare workers looking to relocate would love that! Well, i would for sure. :) Thanks for your very informative videos!
Hi and thanks for watching. We'll consider making such a video. Most large towns on the coast have a major hospital. You probably will not be more than an hour from a major hospital anywhere on the coast. Most common complaint: there is a lack of specialists which increase wait times for patients. Some hospitals outsource their specialists from the valley a few days a week.

Best Pizza ever is at Fultano's in Astoria, it is over by Youngs Bay.
You can often find us at the Fultano's in Gearhart. They have a bowling alley too!
Where are you seeing all these listings? I won't be in the market for a few more years, but I'm trying to keep an eye on Astoria while I pay down/save up

Not even remotely close. Portland is on a whole different level.
Astoria IS now a suburb of Pornland and has more homeless per capita than Pornland itself. The truth hurts. Watch out!!!
People are leaving due to legalization of drugs, crime, homelessness.

That is true my friend and before Pornland took Astoria over it was just as fun, beautiful and interesting. Now its drugs, homeless and the woke-ing dead.
