Hard disagree on this one. We are so lucky to have a remake with several QoL improvements, an art style that is fairly faithful to the original, finally released in more regions and translated to more languages. I feel like they did justice to the source material, which is not something I take for granted. (Look at the situation with Silent Hill, or even Superstar Saga's botched art style on the 3DS.) I agree with your points about the difficulty and the relative lack of original content. It's not a perfect remake, but it's far from "kinda sucks" imho.
@@gamesier2400 Yeah, most people didn't. But as I mentioned, it was also on the Wii, which _many_ people did. (I was just pointing out the different places someone from Europe _could've_ gotten it, over the past... ~15 years.)
I cant really talk about the original since I never played it but I can say is that I’m glad the remake exists and I’m glad the leader of the cherry boys is back!
I think this is a good remake because it actually makes the game fun. I don't care it's easier because at least i'm having fun playing it while i was just bored plaging the original
i think i barely _slightly_ prefer this to Link's Awakening Switch but only in terms of the "added content" & the fact that Yoko Shimomura sensei enthusiastically came back to recompose the score. they are definitely disappointing regarding anything else that could've made these games stand out more like they originally did. these feel sorta reduced down to popcorn-flicks of nintendo games, but i will maybe forever listen to the revamped bgm - along with the originals
i +liked the video tho' i don't necessarily agree lol. even then coming into it i preferred a ce fan-artist's 3-D interpretation of the sprites over this remake
Would you recommend me, papear mario trilogy, since I love mario and Luigi saga from th fun command input and the crazy damage that I can deal I wonder I paper mario has a bit of that
@@Placid_FalconThe original game is chibi in style. Just like the remake. So yes, by your definition they did make it “ugly.” And that’s not counting the fact that the SNES original’s visuals aged poorly.

Superstar saga doesn’t even look bad
Must blast in comments
At least I can play it now because it released in Europe unlike the original
Europe has been able to play it for ages though, thanks to the Virtual Console on the Wii/Wii U.
(Also, on the SNES Classic Mini, to a lesser extent.)
@@King_Luigi i don't have a wiiu

What a great way to start the year, getting baited by Murmilio
8:30 - Except you _can't_ ignore the party swapping, not entirely anyway.
Because the moment your main 3 die it'll auto swap in the other 1-2.
Hey Murmilio welcome back
Our boy is back in town!

Welp I did not expect to get baited

It's complicated. Paper Mario 64 and TTYD have it, albeit with a different battle system.
EXACTLY ! gg
Finally daddy Murmilio is back !
Not a hot take.
The remake bastardized the original art aesthetic.
It didn’t. This is literally what it would’ve looked like if the game was first made now.
@@AlonzoTompkins lol no. 1996 Square is way more talented. They would never make a game this ugly.

Literal blasphemy.
@@Placid_Falcon It was small and toy like...this one is pretty accurate tbh.
A "BAD" video? Yes
the boss returns!!!
I disagree, but then again i prefer the original superstar saga over the remake, to the point i made a video about it 😅
wish MOTHER got the smrpg treatment.. fire video as always and welcome back!
Hi
Thanks for your willing to be objectively incorrect.
This is an objectively wrong take. This is a fantastic remake and this entire video feels more like trollish bait than anything.
