I thought I had played this song before... turns out this was a newer AND harder chart. Absolutely crazy FC for it being my first time playing it.

Well yeah, but the recording you here is one take. They did record it several times but they chose their favorite one and made no edits. There are no overdubs on this album.

you shook me I completely understand. But this recording (in this particular take) HAS NOT been doctored. If you know Snarky Puppy and their high caliber musicianship, you would know that. I’ve played with Cory Henry myself before.
@@pastense its a clean take and it is undoctered yes but this isnt the first or only take they did of this song durring recording it, meaning no, it wasnt done in one take.
And then realise that the keyboardist did that whole solo on improv and that the second chord based keys you hear underneath that main line are also played by the same guy at the same time with his other hand. This song was all recorded live with 25 musicians in the room and also, the drummer had 2 days to learn this whole song (and 9 more)

I like to play along with the videos (or stream if my internet is feeling saucy) and see how well I can do since I normally only play on hard difficulty. This was a fun one, and considering my abilities I think I did pretty well except for on some parts where I stopped even pressing buttons because this song gets fast and weird in some spots.

For those of you who don't know, Snarky Puppy are an assembly of wizards. Larnell Lewis, the drummer, was not a member of the band. When their drummer got sick, he flew from Canada Europe, learning the music by mental imagery. Micheal League, the bassist and lead of the band, said in an interview that Larnell knew the music better than they did.
That's like Wayne Gretzky telling you someone made his jaw drop.

Can you please describe your strumming technique? I'm curious how you keep it so minimal. There are stretches where you don't strum but the noteheads aren't hammer-ons/pulloffs.
