I have installed this on my Ryobi 2300 inverter generator. I actually run it off natural gas. Installing a gasoline shut-off valve to the generator was the only extra step I had to do. It runs well. They say you lose some power with natural gas and propane. Maybe 20%, but I do not know how to test that. Because of my work schedule, I love that I don't have to worry about refueling it. EVER.
Yea the big one has and the new small 2200 but I think on that model they want you to still use the accessory fuel shut off in a small kit they provide.
@@hoochthefireman you probably could have just pulled the wires off the existing switch on the valve and ran them to a rocker switch. If I do propane on the little generac I bought (same as the ryobi with different case and control panel and no Bluetooth) that will probably be what I will do. Not sure what to do with the choke then however
@@juliogonzo2718 I'm not sure what you mean. I put an in-line gas shut off to be safer. Plus I wanted to keep the ability to run gasoline if needed. My generation of the Ryobi 2300 didn't/doesn't have what you're talking about. I appreciate the tip though.
I have an older us carburation/Moto snorkel propane kit on my Yamaha 2800. I did this back in the early 2000s. I have the block that goes in front of the carburetor instead of the snorkel. With the block at least for mine it will not run on the eco, it's good to see yours will with the snorkel. I plug mine into the house, and with running a swamp cooler refrigerator and freezer TV internet certain led/florescent lights I went 6 hours on a 20 lb 5 gallon propane tank and still had some left in it. It will also run my heater but my heater is propane in the house. Now the 2800 does have a hard time starting to swap cooler you have to do that first and then add everything on. That's cooler has a hell of a starting load Anybody cares click on my name I have a couple videos of the generator running with the house.
Thank you, I know I dont have time for watching that, so I don’t wanna deliver it to my viewers. GET TO THE POINT!!!! 🤣🤣🤣👍🏼 Thanks for the comment and thanks again for watching 👍🏼😀
The modification is shown and executed very well but I have a critical observation to make. You Americans are for functional practicality but we Italians also like (in addition...) a pleasant aesthetic. In short, I don't like seeing the pressure reducer attached to the door and drilling it too! I would have preferred to install it under the generator where there is the basket with the wheels, at the pressure reducer an elbow fitting (90°) for the gas inlet... and a protective casing.. For the rest.. 👍 😊
I moved mine to the rear bottom right corner. I didn’t like the door either and wished I had looked at it a little longer verses going with the instructions
I recently purchased the WEN RV-Ready 4000-Watt Open Frame Inverter Generator. I also purchased the Sportsman 4,000/3,500-Watt Dual Fuel Powered Portable Generator. I have to say I like the Sportsman setup with a 20# propane bottle much better than using gasoline. My Wen inverter/generator does not have the propane option, but now it looks like I can convert it with one of these kits. Thanks for making this video.
Interesting and easy to install. Overall, a nice job. Yes, you will use more propane / NG than gasoline and that's because those fuels have less BTUs by volume. OTOH, those fuels do burn cleaner and don't go bad with time. (stale gasoline anyone?) That said, my primary concern with any of these conversions is invalidating the gen set's warranty (your call there) and the UL listing. Basically, the UL listing is about the unit being tested as "safe for it's intended purpose, as designed by the mfgr" You make changes / modifications on the unit and the factory's liability is no longer there. (I.E. burn the house down, blow yourself up, etc)
Agree but much better then the kill your self DIY videos going around for NG. Straight line to the green and no regulator. Meaning if the gen shuts off, the gas still flows and if your asleep or not around your creating a bomb for you and your neighbors.
@@johnnysweekends .... all UL approved gen sets have a second means of automatic fuel shut off via an electric gas solenoid AND a demand regulator. If the engine dies (low oil?) the gas is also shut off. The demand regulator you have *SHOULD* shut the gas off if the engine dies but this does NOT have a secondary safety.
The DIY videos that are going around for converting a gen to NG is a valve on the outside of the house. Then a extension line ran directly to the generator air box in front of the carb throat. Your turn the gas on by the valve then the generator on and control the mixture at the hand valve. That’s it. That’s what people are doing. There is no safety there. So if the gen shuts off for any reason the gas supply is free will. It will bleed out of the air box and everywhere. This is what is going around on other videos.
@@johnnysweekends ... I serviced gen sets for 25 years and have seen many (bad) things, but that's insanity! The style you feature has been around for decades and at one time was approved, but that was before people got law suit happy.
It’s true. No one is liable for there own stupidity anymore lol. But yea the conversion set has been around I guess a long time. They work good though. But maybe install after warranty is up 🤷♂️ But yea you should look for the video. I may even make one on saying “don’t do this” lol before we see people on the news.
Your Title said "TRI" Fuel. And you sure made it use Propane perfectly. Great!. But I want ONLY NG in my home when; we lose power.. So why didn't you show us how; it works when using NG? Huh? I NEED it! Thanks.
You need to ask a little more politely. I didn’t receive a NG connection kit. Which can vary depending on your home. Which you should have someone hook up if you T off a line from the gas feed. I’m not going to show you because I don’t know what your doing or your hookups. So liability wise it’s not in my best interest. And NG has a lot less btu’s then propane and even more so then gas. It’s like 5 gallons of NG to every 2 of gas and 3.5 ish for propane…… roughly. I showed how to install the kit and that it works on gas and propane and NG won’t be much different but a adjustment will be needed depending.
I need to do my older Honda EG 3500x for my gen needs do u know if that one will work on mineas well ?I have 10 gallon gas tank causei dont use the lil 2 gallon factory tank at all cause I'm in the woods .Looks great thanks for any help you can info me on .
Yup you can, tried it a couple times but I didn’t do it on the video, sorry. But yea nothing changed. Just turn on gas and pulled choke and go. Only thing is don’t slam or pull hard on the choke as you can feel the snorkel give a little resistance. So just pull easy and it fired right up. Obviously your generator should be in good running condition. But yea so far so good. Super easy and love the options. A little spendy for the kit I guess but it’s the safe way to do it and honestly it couldn’t be a easier install. Glad I had the opportunity to get one to try. 👍🏼😀
newbie w questions...are there any out of the box smaller, say 2500-3500 watt tri fuel inverter generators out there..just went thru an ice storm with a week of 0° wind chills and only relying on mr buddy heaters..it got old pretty fast.. another question, how can you tell if the propane tank is old and purged of air? last question..some sites say that a 20lb propane won't vaporize enough in cold weather to run at higher loads..?? they suggest using 2 30lb tanks..??? thx for the video
Most times you wont see a NG generator that small since BTU output is so low. You would have a 2500 start 1800 run on gas, 1600ish on propane and NG would be like 1200 maybe. I would take the propane tank to a service center if it’s old and have inspected, and they can also answer the other question better. And yes smaller tanks can freeze the regulators quicker in cold temps. Normally from my reading a higher flow regulator is needed and say a 40lb tank.
Same as propane since it’s pressurized. Although since it has less btu’s you may need to adjust the load block a little bit once set for gas and propane I would leave it if it works.
i have a question. when you decide to run it on gas. wouldnt there be a vacuum leak through the larger regulator? isnt there a small vent at the bottom? larry
The regulator that stays on the gen should be closed off. But I wonder if there could be enough vacuum to open and draw air. But on the snorkel there is a little hole to prevent vacuum and only allow pressurized gas to come up it. I may look again and double check but never had a issue running on gas or any difference.
You bring up a very good point and something I never thought about. We have the same kit installed on a Predator 9000/7250 generator. We use NG as our primary fuel source and gasoline as a back-up. I installed a gas shutoff valve in front of the regulator. If there would be a vacuum leak, this valve in the close position, would prevent it.
Finally got my kit. After watching the video, there are some parts that I don't know their use. There are two short bolts. What are they used for? There is a tiny screw (Bolt) that I don't know its use either. I noticed you did not use the flat washers. Where exactly are they supposed to go? My kit did not come with a grommet, but I have one. Your advice is appreciated, before I start this project.
Sometimes they do give you extra parts for different mounting areas. Did you lay everything out. There really isn’t a whole lot of parts needed. I used a few of my own because I mounted the big regulator on the gen on the door but actually removed it and mounted it on the rear right side kinda low. Took the back panel off. But tubing is ran the same.
Yes the instructions say you need both. Not saying you need there’s specifically but yes to regulate tank pressure and the one on the generator is a load regulator. But you wanna make sure the tank regulator is the correct pressure/ volume.
@@johnnysweekends go figure. Was helping my dad. Didn't bother reading instructions. Got it to run using the kit regulator but did not have propane regulator. Thanks!
Yes the kit is mostly the same you just have to get the correct snorkel. That’s the only part that would be a little different. But a lot of gens runs very similar carbs and bolt patterns but still need to find the correct for your gen. You may have to email them. As for NG it’s almost identical to running propane only you get a little less btu’s so slightly less power. So the load block may have to be adjusted slightly different.
This kit works great on NG. There is minimal power loss when running on NG, from my experience. The key is setting up the regulator on low, medium and large loads. The engine should be running smooth. (Use a wattage meter to see the hertz) Once it's set up, you will be fine and won't have to make any adjustments. Also, you have to have the correct size gas pipes and NG pressure and volume being delivered to the generator.
Yes you can and there are a couple different types. Now for the most part they are not super accurate but can give you a idea. Like for instance you may have a 1/4 tank left but the gauge will read empty.
Gas can still be used in your generator. This only adds the ability to run the generator on propane or natural gas. So now you can run all three fuels when ever you choose. Obviously one at a time.
I've installed a few propane kits. I will not use another motor snorkel kit out of WV. Didn't fit motor snorkel rubbing the fuel bowl and had to remove then engine didn't want to run. Also down the road if the motor snorkel rubber piece falls in the engine it could damage and lock up the motor. Hutch mountain, synergy, century fuels and a few others have propane kits that are a lot better than the motor snorkel deal. And when I talked to motor snorkel they just wanted to sandwich out the motor snorkel with longer bolts. That's not good as small as these bolts are that are holding the air filter on and with time good chance to strip or break off even with loctite on bolts.
I just put one on a 3500 predator. it would only run 700 watts before stumbling on gasoline. the rubber snorkel looked like it covered holes on carb. took it off.......ran fine.
The load regulator does exactly that. Adjusts to the demand of the load while the load block is like a fuel adjustment screw to fine tune and then your good. 👍🏼
Like Johnny said that’s the exact purpose of this kit. Also this will shut down the gas flow when the generator shuts down which is very important. There are some videos on UA-cam showing how you can run a generator by taking the gas line to your stove and manually dialing the air to fuel ratio. That works if the load is constant, but if you’re actually using the generator to power anything , the load is almost never constant, and also, the gas flow will not stop unless you manually shut it off in that case. That’s why a zero demand regulator like the one in this kit is very important.
Very and good point! With out a regulator you are letting gas virtually flow freely which is extremely dangerous for you and your neighbors. Unfortunately not everyone is safe and uses Good judgment. The cost for a kit is worth it verses a diy job that could kill you and others…
So a 20lb tank is almost 5 gallons of usable fuel. The Honda 3000 has 3.4 gallon tank. And will run 20 hrs on 1/4 load according to specs. Which with the propane bottle holding about 4.5-4.7 usable gallons of fuel I would assume almost the same amount of time for that amount of propane or close.
@@johnnysweekends No...not pretty close. Depends what generator your running for actual time, but Propane is 27% less efficient than gasoline, so figure about 25% min. less time.
Gasoline has 116000 btu's per gallon. Propane has 92500 btu's per gallon. You will have to consume the equivalent of 1.25 gallons of propane for every gallon of gasoline. The honda eu3000is has a 3.4 gallon tank, therefore you would need 4.26 gallons of propane to provide the equivalent amount of energy. Which is a little less of the 4.7 gallons in a full 20 lb tank of propane.
Us Carbonation no longer shows a kit for the Honda EU-3000is on their web site. Also, on hold forever on the phone. The ease of the kit you have is what got my attention.
Interesting not sure why they would discontinue but maybe it’s just not listed. I don’t know keep trying I know tons of places are short staffed so maybe try again
@@johnnysweekends Finally got an email response from the company. The kit doesn't show up on their web site, but they claim to still sell it. Looks like I'll be buying one.
@@johnnysweekends thanks my friend. I ripped almost all the rubber isolators off my Honda from sliding it in and out of the back of the pick up. It’s a heavy bastard compared to my 2200 but it’s got the jam for a/c lol. Gas is getting expensive this is a great alternative. Thanks again
I like this. The only thing of consern to me is gas leakage either through the intake air filter or the exhaust. In a scenario where the generator for some reason shuts off. Will the propane escape through the intake filter? Also, in a scenario where we have low load or varying load. Since the propane provides constant flow and gas pressure, will unburnt gas be pushed right out the exhaust? The generator will vary the gasoline consumption depending on the load. The modified system, I'm guessing from what I saw, doesn't. Gas leaks can be pretty dangerous specially around electric systems. Lastly, the plunger style bleeder could start to leak overtime. Overall I like this conversion. But understanding the risks and the system limitations is a must.
This type of regulator works more opposite. Flow from the bottle closes the diaphragm. Vacuum then opens it to allow flow of the propane. So when generator shuts off the flow stops. Now sure over some years that back primer button could possibly start to leak. But like anything prechecks should be done like most things once in a while. Hope this helps
If you hook up NG you would adjust the load block to adjust fuel mixture. But I guess once set NG will run very similar to propane so no adjustment may be needed. Altitude could change things a little.
its always good to have backup choices LPG has 38% less energy thn gasoline propane is normally alot higher cost per gallon 4.6 gallons should be a full fill on a 20lb cylinder but many underfill only way to know is weigh it propane is 4.24 lbs per gallon weigh cylinder then subtract tare weight of cylinder ( stamped on cylinder) i find alot only fill 15lbs of propane propane is better overall for engine because it goes in as a gas and dont have cylinder/piston wash down caused by gasoline
Is the same amount of propane flowing out of the tank regardless of engine RPM ? If yes, is this ok ? Does the engine run rich at low RPM and lean at high RPM ? Maybe im not understanding something but it seems like there is no physical connection between any fuel regulators and the actual generator. Just that bolt that got 5 or 6 turns. Also, that fuel supply snorkel that went behind the airbox looks like thin / unprotected material that could easily get a hole vibrated into it over time.
There are two regulators. One on the tank, and the load regulator on the generator. The load generator has a diaphragm in it to open and close a valve to allow for more gas flow. Then it goes past the load block…. Which is the bolt you turn which acts kinda like a jet for fine tuning. So yes it is fully regulated verses some diy tricks that can and will possibly kill you.
Yes the gas option is still usable. You use the choke as normal just don’t smash it closed hard. That’s what’s nice of the kit. All 3 options, just choose. 👍🏼
Maybe. But it should be close to the same. It takes more natural gas to get the same power of propane. So it’s possible the load block screw may need a turn out but wouldn’t for sure till I tried.
I did this... The gen had problems starting and running. What nobody stressed is that the gas fuel requires a hotter spark and you may have to close down the spark gap. So that got it running on LP gas although it sputters on sudden load increases. Then I tried to run on NG and it is total crap. Now I have a high performance kart racing coil coming to see if I had a marginal ignition system. Also I have heard that these engines can have too tight of valve lash making the compression marginal. For me this hasn't been as easy as the videos.
Propane I didn’t have a issue. But yea close the gap if you need to and sometimes one hotter plug depending where you might be. I dont do NG much because I dont have outages for days on end.
I just gapped the standard plug down to .018" and on LP found it now will pick up a sudden load from no load nicely. Even ECO mode. I have a hot coil and plug for when I resume testing with NG.
Well yea but in all honesty no. The generator could burn the propane or even natural gas, but neither will have oil in the mixture. When you run the 2 stroke engine you have a premix fuel say 50:1 which lubricates the engine. Or fuel and oil are separate which then you would have oil injection. So the option would be to run a oil injection system which you would have to setup and find the right oil injection rate. Which all in all would be a cool project but a pain in the rear for the most part. So for a plug and play kit…. No unfortunately. Hope this helps….👍🏼
He’s actually really good 😀👍🏼 Plays bass some and other things. Music is big in our family as I’m a drummer and very basic acoustic guitar player ..😂👍🏼
@@johnnysweekends I too was a drummer in a wedding band back in the days. These days just play the guitar for fun. Wife has a degree in teaching piano, but we couldn't get the kids to get to within a mile of any instruments.

Why locate regulator that low where it could hit something when rolling around. But great video thinking of putting one online for home use.... Because can store propane in a couple of 100 lb tanks for years, and not have to worry about gasoline every 8 hours. I would worry about improper fuel setting and lean operation shortening the engine life. Propane already cause engine run hotter than gasoline because it's already vaporized at the tank , atomized gasoline vaporizes in cylinder and provides a small but measurable amount of cooling
Correct, fuel is a cooling agent for the upper cylinder. With propane it seems to be more finicky with the load dial. Now I did try to go towards the rich side a little by a 1/4 turn. Will this help…🤷♂️ As far as the regulator I already relocated it to the rear panel as the side would get in the way of storing it places. Much better there. Still low but I’m not traveling around with that unit and throwing it in trucks. Just gets used for back up or small things.
@@johnnysweekends that sounds good I'm toying with the idea of not installing the load regulator on the generator permanently just placing it next to it or such. Connect with just a quick connect when needed. Leave capped off when not. I would only use propane for emergency home use when power is out for long period. I've damaged things bouncing around in the back of trucks. But my 215 lb generator isn't something I want to put back there. I got a smaller one I can use most of the time
@@johnnysweekends yep, I think they say to keep it within 3 ft or something like that using the 3/8 in hose but if you went with a larger hose you could probably mount it wherever you wanted to mount it, within reason just on the propane bottle
I didn’t have the hook up for the kit for NG but hooking up and running it is basically the same but curious could I still hit max load at 25 amps or more with NG. The propane test did excellent… Maybe I’ll do a update vid comparing both since propane does have more btu’s
It’s true, propane would be first if I didn’t have gas and NG would be my last choice since it’s the least efficient. I’ll see what I can do in the next couple weeks. Have some other vids coming soon.
We have this same kit on our Predator 9000/7250 watts generator. NG is our primary fuel source. I installed a Soft Start kit on our 3-ton AC unit. We can run our entire house, plus the AC, on NG. The highest wattage used was around 5500 watts at 59 to 60hz.
I think they have a lot. It’s the same kit darn near, I think the snorkel mount may just be slightly different. I would contact them direct and ask. So many of these generators use the same carb and same mounting so I’m sure they have something. You just don’t want to use remote start and stop with propane. You want to shut it off at the bottle or where ever the source is.
something most people dont know is that propane burns dry they used to have to replace the valves in converted vehicles because the factory valves we not hardened i think pretty much all valves are hardened now, but if you start to have trouble (low compression) or have an older unit might check
I don’t think out door power equipment like lawn mower engines are going to have hardened valves. Maybe the newer dual fuel units but a true propane unit or NG with have better valves.
@@johnnysweekends i think with the advent of low lead fuels they had to go to a harder type valve but yes probably not like in a car , truck or gas tractor

That's cooler has a hell of a starting load
Anybody cares click on my name I have a couple videos of the generator running with the house.

Great vid! I installed this on my Yamaha 2000i inverter gen and I love it. I’m thinking of installing on my big Honda eu6500 for home backup.
That would be a excellent place for it. I use the smaller gens for portable and the bigger for home when needed.
I just ordered a propane carb adapter for my eu6500is on ebay for 59 bucks. I have the regulators from my other propane setups.
I would also check for 60 cycles at the outlet as well.
its an inverter. It will always be at 60 hertz. On a regular generator, sure.
Nice video Johnny.

No problem they are simple to install and tuning isn’t hard as well.
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching 😀👍🏼
Brilliant idea. Look forwards to trying that out
It’s a nice option to have. 👍🏼😀
But maybe install after warranty is up 🤷♂️
But yea you should look for the video. I may even make one on saying “don’t do this” lol before we see people on the news.

Do that kit work on EU7000IS

Thank you
I haven’t done it on the 7000. Is yours fuel injection? Carb model will work.
In the description should have all the parts.
Let me know 👍🏼
Is there a kit for a Harbor Freight 79cc engine? or perhaps those 35cc 4 stroke weed eater engines?
You would have to call the company direct and they maybe able to help.
Great video👍👍👍

Interesting, would like to have seen it go back to gas after install. Can you switch between gas and propane on the fly?
Yup you can, tried it a couple times but I didn’t do it on the video, sorry. But yea nothing changed. Just turn on gas and pulled choke and go.
Only thing is don’t slam or pull hard on the choke as you can feel the snorkel give a little resistance. So just pull easy and it fired right up. Obviously your generator should be in good running condition.
But yea so far so good. Super easy and love the options. A little spendy for the kit I guess but it’s the safe way to do it and honestly it couldn’t be a easier install.
Glad I had the opportunity to get one to try.

Can i use my home made bio-gas?
Not sure you would have to try it…
How long does the tank last?
Depends on load and tank size… could be 10hrs or 20hrs…🤷🏼♂️
newbie w questions...are there any out of the box smaller, say 2500-3500 watt tri fuel inverter generators out there..just went thru an ice storm with a week of 0° wind chills and only relying on mr buddy heaters..it got old pretty fast..
another question, how can you tell if the propane tank is old and purged of air?
last question..some sites say that a 20lb propane won't vaporize enough in cold weather to run at higher loads..?? they suggest using 2 30lb tanks..??? thx for the video
I didn't see it running on natural gas? What is the procedure for it?
@@johnnysweekends Got it. Thanks.
Great video, well done! How about high elevation like 7,000 to 9,000 ft.? thanks from Dennis
It will also work at elevation to but really cold temps could cause some freezing issues.

If I run off propane. Do I need the propane regulator?
Yes the instructions say you need both. Not saying you need there’s specifically but yes to regulate tank pressure and the one on the generator is a load regulator.
But you wanna make sure the tank regulator is the correct pressure/ volume.
@@johnnysweekends go figure.
Was helping my dad. Didn't bother reading instructions. Got it to run using the kit regulator but did not have propane regulator. Thanks!
How do you switch from propane back to gasoline? What makes this kit different from those that only use one or the other?
On the generator turn fuel switch off and run till empty. Or open side panel and just use the drain screw. Then turn on propane.
Nice one, so how does it work on NG connected to the house, also I have a Korean brand generator is the kit the same for most genies. cheers.
(Use a wattage meter to see the hertz)
Once it's set up, you will be fine and won't have to make any adjustments. Also, you have to have the correct size gas pipes and NG pressure and volume being delivered to the generator.
Yea I didn’t notice any loss on Lpg so that was nice. I would have thought a little on NG though.
New at this can you add a gauge to indicate how much is left in your propane tank?
Yes you can and there are a couple different types. Now for the most part they are not super accurate but can give you a idea. Like for instance you may have a 1/4 tank left but the gauge will read empty.
Can you use gas in an emergency if you remove the tube from behind air box?
Interesting. I know this is a updated snorkel from years past but I don’t have any experience with those.
Thanks for the feedback.
I just put one on a 3500 predator. it would only run 700 watts before stumbling on gasoline. the rubber snorkel looked like it covered holes on carb. took it off.......ran fine.
Does this adjust the fueling level to demands, or does it just allow a set amount of gas through even when the demand is low?
Can you shut off using only the key? Or do you have to turn off propne tank valve? Thanks
Yes key but only if you plan to use it again later. If not running For the rest of the day shut it off at the tank first. Then key.
Great video! How long will a 20lb tank run? Of course, what you run in the trailer will be a variable .
So then I was close enough for a guesstimate 😂👍🏼
Thanks…👍🏼😀
Good video brother!
Thank you…👍🏼😀
Thank you, one quick question.... Would this work for wood gas ? From a gasifier system.
Honestly I dont know. It’s not designed for that.

No problem and heck yea it’s heavy…😂😂👍🏼
Very usefull video. Thank's.
Your welcome and thanks for watching 👍🏼😀
Tks JW
Your welcome. 😀👍🏼
What is the full name and model of the kit you are using?
It should be listed in the description area.
Any other settings for the Natural Gas?
If you hook up NG you would adjust the load block to adjust fuel mixture. But I guess once set NG will run very similar to propane so no adjustment may be needed. Altitude could change things a little.
awesome video
Thanks 😀👍🏼
its always good to have backup choices LPG has 38% less energy thn gasoline propane is normally alot higher cost per gallon 4.6 gallons should be a full fill on a 20lb cylinder but many underfill only way to know is weigh it propane is 4.24 lbs per gallon weigh cylinder then subtract tare weight of cylinder ( stamped on cylinder) i find alot only fill 15lbs of propane
propane is better overall for engine because it goes in as a gas and dont have cylinder/piston
wash down caused by gasoline
Nice, but can you go back to gas w/o changing what you did for propane?
Yes !!!! Just switch the gas valve back on and fire it up..👍🏼
Already did it a few times to check.
@@johnnysweekends Cool. Conversion kit is almost as much as what I spent for my 3500 Champion tho.
$189?
@@johnnysweekends $325 New.
Got ya. Just don’t do the diy home valve thing with no regulator. Those are the people you see dead on the news.
does the Eco throttle still work?
Yes!!!! 👍🏼
Can you also use gasoline while having this system installed? Seems like it will block auto chokes from closing
Yes the gas option is still usable. You use the choke as normal just don’t smash it closed hard. That’s what’s nice of the kit. All 3 options, just choose.
👍🏼
@@johnnysweekends nice. Are you going to try it with natural gas too?
@cheaptick yes a tighter gap for propane helps 👍🏼
Would this work with a 2 stroke engine generator ?
Well yea but in all honesty no.
The generator could burn the propane or even natural gas, but neither will have oil in the mixture. When you run the 2 stroke engine you have a premix fuel say 50:1 which lubricates the engine. Or fuel and oil are separate which then you would have oil injection.
So the option would be to run a oil injection system which you would have to setup and find the right oil injection rate. Which all in all would be a cool project but a pain in the rear for the most part.
So for a plug and play kit…. No unfortunately.
Hope this helps….👍🏼
If this is natural gas or propane how is this 3 type of file if you are removing the carburetor for regular gas
You are not removing the carb. It stays in place. You add a additional piece. This allows you to run 3 types of fuel.

Will this help…🤷♂️
As far as the regulator I already relocated it to the rear panel as the side would get in the way of storing it places.

True. One reason in that other video I did want it on the generator. But I use the on board regulator from my Rv when I don’t use that one.
Should have tried the nat gas on full load.
I didn’t have the hook up for the kit for NG but hooking up and running it is basically the same but curious could I still hit max load at 25 amps or more with NG.
The propane test did excellent…
Maybe I’ll do a update vid comparing both since propane does have more btu’s
Typically the generators for natural gas have a oversized engine to make up the difference. The eu3000 would be a good test
Wow awesome! Yea the soft start on home ac units really helps if you want to run a smaller gen to fire those up.

something most people dont know is that propane burns dry they used to have to replace the valves in converted vehicles because the factory valves we not hardened i think pretty much all valves are hardened now, but if you start to have trouble (low compression) or have an older unit might check
