One summer I played Far Cry 4, 5 and New Dawn. 5 was the only one I really loved, it was so fun and different in certain areas, it was awesome, I loved every minute of it
There is something soothing about the forests of Montana in this game. Exaggaration, i know. But i finished it many times including infamous difficulty and lot of time in Arcade mode. Good times.
I really remember this game being panned when it first came out and I couldn’t understand why. So it’s nice to see that there were some people out there that enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed climbing the towers as well. Getting that rush towards the top with the camera swaying or right before you make a sketchy jump and the relief after completing it, then jumping off or zip lining down. They seemed to make a big deal about getting rid of them like it was a good thing but I was just disappointed.
Been playing far cry 5 for a few years now. Played through the game around 4 times now on the hardest difficulties. A few years after I first played it, my frieend got his first computer. Of course this was the first game I helped him buy. He loved it, almost as I did when I played through the story first. Excellent story, writing and a beautiful environment. Far cry 5 brings me so many memories that I became emotional writing this comment. Truly one of my favorite games. “We didn't realise we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun.” - Winnie the Pooh Thank you for making this video!
The americana locale, creepy cult, and wonderful score really added so much to this game! One of the best Far Cry games. Ubi release a 60fps patch please!
In my case, the disadvantage of getting old is not really enjoying video games anymore. It's sad, no matter what I try, I just get bored after 10-15 min and never play again. This game was the first game in years that kept me glued to my PC. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
Hope county was such a cool switch up of the far cry setting to me, not sure if it’s cause I grew up around mountains and in America but I just loved everything about the setting here
The soundtrack is something else, it’s somewhat nostalgic but even 5 years later after listening to it today I felt as if this game came out yesterday. Such an amazing game.
I agree. I’m playing it currently. Usually outposts grow tiresome, but not with FC5. I love circling around the perimeter of the outposts with Boomer the dog, finding the best strategy, then stealthily taking the cultists down.
This is the only Far Cry i return to constantly. It worked so well and was so much fun. Tried at FC6 and it just felt meh compared to this ones world. Was just hella fun going from shootout to shootout and occasionally a bear flips a truck and then you get captured. Not sure how FC6 missed the mark.
i absolutely love the art direction in this game, the graphics looks really nice and the lighting is just amazing. this was my first far cry game i've ever played and makes me wish ubisoft would remaster the previous one's and updated them a bit for modern platforms
The polish in FC5 is insane. The songs (and the fact the cultists sing to it), the huge amount of dialogue and banter (maybe not quite enough between GFH, but still). It also looks incredible, even now. It's a believable world, which you (ironically) want to live in. Can't tell you how many times I've played through it. Similarly for New Dawn. Barely made it through FC6 the one time.
This is one of the most best games I’ve ever replayed, I played it with my cousin in a duo. We finished the game but I replayed it in 2021 during the pandemic. As well today one of the best games I’ve enjoyed.
My favourite game, in regards of to it being the closest to my heart. The themes, the characters, the STUNNING Montana atmosphere. Made me so happy to see this vid!
I was WAY obsessed with this game when I got it for the first time last summer. I replayed it like 7 or 8 times. Always loved the countryside in games especially the American countryside since I only see it in movies lol.
I think you may have just grew fond of the game, which is normal after some time. Hell, people playing Far Cry 2 to 6 are saying the exact same thing on their respective videos. "This is the only Far Cry game I return to."
That theme is so beautiful. The PlayStation theme is probably my most used one. The game is beautiful. From the views and animals in the map to the bodies flying. It’s a good game, u just have to love it to see it
I really like this game. I remember pre-ordering it. It's still good even to this day. Out of all the Far Cry villains. Joseph Seed is the one I'm actually afraid of. He's not as intimidating as Vaas far cry 3 or as anger inducing as Mickey and Lou from far cry new dawn. But when it comes to terror he takes the cake. While Anton Castillo from Far Cry 6 was pretty intimidating, he's still got nothing compared to Joseph Seed.
The ending had me in awe. It was subtly foreshadowed early in the game, but I didn't think anything of it. The gameplay is S tier if you know how to use it properly. You can litteraly scout and airstrike your way through most of this game, stealth ninja with a dog scouting enemy targets, snipe/airstrike with helicopter support or just plain gun it with a squad. The approaches to battle in this game is outstanding. It's almost Skyrim in a modern setting, without the fluff.
Its the best far cry for me, it had the best map in the series and also the first one that did something like this, you had abandoned bunkers, houses and different places all around the map so it made open world so much fun to explore than any previous game. Villain was really good and original. I also loved the atmosphere, the country music and overall how map looked like, lets not also forget the planes lol
I loved the ending of this game really unexpected. And the sidequests are wacky and weird, in one u have to retrieve a cow's testicles while they are mating.
This in my opinion is by far one of the most underrated games ever, its gameplay is fun and addicting, story is great and online is good. And hunting and fishing are very fun. I put more hours into this game than Fallout New Vegas and Dark Souls 1 which i consider in the top 3 games ever.
Far cry 5, underrated?? I feel like you people just throw around the word underrated just for the sake if it. The game is no way near underrated dude. It sold over 10 million copies and was the fastest selling far cry in the history of the far cry franchise. Its also the best selling far cry game with more than 25 million copies sold.. now tell me hows that underrated. Yall seriously need to look up what the word underrated means
Far cry 5 is very tedious but I like that. When your in the middle of the region boss fights and bunkers your heart races so much its crazy. I come back to it regularly when I am bored it’s seriously awesome
This is the only FC game where I just sat there after the ending and experienced any kind of sad emotions. I don't know why, but the previous games, the stories never really got to me, I just played for the open world to kill hours. Here? Man, I was genuinely shook at how bleak the ending was. Combined with finding out what happened to the deputy in New Dawn and Far Cry 5 became my fave out of the series.
SO AGREE! Just got back into 5 after a long time and then heard there was more connecting it in new dawn (which I wasn't even aware existed??) And it's just so. Chilling to me, genuinely
Me and the wifey just started playing this game (game pass) and it’s so damn good I can’t remember a campaign that felt this nice for two players.. feels natural feels great to hunt down a evil family, and the sister faith was badass. Far cry 3 and 5 are the best in the series.
This game made me want to build a cabin in the middle of nowhere in Montana. Except for the part where I'm forced into the boss battles instead of choosing when to do them on my own, this game was fucking awesome! Loved the characters, the story, the environment and the gameplay.
People are biased against Ubisoft. Most of the youtubers just want to shit on Ubisoft games because they do not engage the reviewers compared to other big companies. Ubisoft also has a simple formula but it is fun and works for most people.
I finally played through this game last month since its on game pass.i had more fun playing this than any other game I played released in the last few years. Once you get used to the mechanics being a little wonky(but not very) since it's a few years old it's a great game.
For those who want a more interesting experience with this game, you can try restricting yourself to a lot of things! -Play on Hardest difficulty (Hard/Infamous) -No Compass -No Fast Travel/Wingsuit -No Detection Meter -No Binocular Tracking -No Enemy Markings -Only one upgrade to a certain weapon -No ammo upgrades -No Fisher King -No Vehicle Buster -Not allowed to shoot while driving -No GFH allies (If ya want you can do like a Nuzlocke where they die they stay dead forever) -No faster walking perk -No "Nimble Fingers" -*No Fishing Rod Upgrades* -No Brass Knuckles -No HUD -Basically any Onscreen UI like Detections or Trackings, Gone. -The Goal of these restrictions is to give the player the most authentic experience with the game, instead of just marking everything and seeing outlines through everything, now you have to constantly watch your back if you don't want them seeing you; Or plan ahead and experiment to see what works (Luring Cultists to Proximity C4/Setting off explosives to get Cultists away so you can sneak in) -Basically these restrictions should force you to experiment with your play style! No more easy kills, No detection meters, no teleporting to one outpost to another, you have to physically drive your way from Point A to Point B! Hope somebody finds these ideas or playstyles fun.
When you saved that girl and that cougar just comes out of freaking no where and tackles her I laughed so hard, that was epic. This game looks really fun
This is one of my most fav games of all time. It got me right in the feels. I go back to play 3, 4, and 5, whenever I have the opportunity. I still listen to the soundtrack to this day.
Far cry 5 story was one of my favourite far cry stories, it’s the last one that ends with the famous far cry fuckery that makes you feel like the bad guy. I didn’t actually want to kill faith after finding out her backstory of being a drug addict forced into the cult. It’s crazy to see the comparisons between the cult and the branch davidians. The fact there’s a secret ending where you can avoid the bad endings by walking away is clearly a comment on how Waco should have ended. Also hour of darkness DLC is one of the best l.
Actually, the black girl at the jail has a random conversation segment when you are just walking around where she says she was a friend of hers and how she chose to join without accepting warnings. Pretty sure Faith was lying about some of the stuff
Honesty I love FC3, FC4 and FC5 they may be similar but each of them definitely have there own progressions and add something new and fresh and 5 really went into it’s atmosphere and it just works I love going around in beautiful Montana.
Growing up in Colorado with similar mountain towns, having a crazy cult group thrown in is just so so so fitting. Far cry 5 is an amazing game and anyone who has experienced these small mountain towns will all tell you something like this is entirely possible.
my fav of the whole series...some parts is nonsensical but joseph seed made up for it,one of the best villans to me...and that music just made it an experience
Im glad that people are starting to find out how good far cry 5 is, when it was released it received alot of backfire because there were plenty of UA-cam channels comparing only the weak points of the game such as npcs interactions with other games instead of some good aspects like hunting or the immersion without HUD, i got obsessed with this game when it came out and i replayed like 8-9 times, but tbh there's no really a "bad" far cry game all of them are really good
Some of y'all don't understand the power that the map of this game has, especially when playing it in places where the sun goes down early. It can help with seasonal depression as well. I love everything about this game!
I didn't expect much from this game 2 years ago when I got it on sale but god damn, I enjoyed it just like Far Cry 3 when I played it back when it was released. Also, such a great soundtrack!
Let's not forget the game brainwashed us pretty cool making us repeat the same training task over and over...untill it wasn't training anymore without us knowing.
You're joking, right? Joseph Seed had "nonbelievers" killed, kidnapped and enslaved people, and essentially shut down an entire place from the outside. The intro had him straight up murdering someone. How is this not villainous? At best, he may be a well-intentioned extremist. At worst, he's a narcissistic mass murderer.
FC4 might be my favourite for the narrative ... but I love FC5 for being the most fun. Just being able to wreak havoc and plunge everything into complete chaos. I did enjoy the story but not the way they told it. But all those guns, vehicles and having an animal companion like in Primal was awesome.

1: far cry 5 has a good story and has good content like clutch nixon missions. only good thing about far cry 3's story is jason and vaas. 2: pretty much all of the missions were unique in far cry 5, tho the same cannot be said imo for far cry 3. 3: loads of characters are not annoying and are pretty good, the only characters i find annoying are the generic npcs that give you sidequests but that's every game. 4: not a very stupid ending, (if anyone else is reading this spoilers ahead so just in case i will put a warning) let's talk about the nuke ending, it makes a lot of sense cause joseph was talking about the collapse for so long and the fact that the collapse did actually come, shows that he did seem to be able to predict some things. now the other ending, you walk away. everything seems normal and good but then you hear a song on the radio. it's only you, the song you were brainwashed to kill people with and the song that made you kill the leader of the whitetail militia. 5: i think this game has definitely better characters, story, content and gameplay. also way better atmosphere and really nice graphics to immerse yourself plus an amazing soundtrack that beats far cry 3's so easily.

I’ve never been into games, but my brother finally persuaded me to get on the PS in my early 40’s. After learning how to actually move by learning on the obstacle course in Call of Duty, he put me on this game and I was hooked instantly. Years later I still love nothing more than re-setting all of the outposts and running around with Jess, a sniper rifle and rocket launcher.
The silent protagonist made this game such a unique and memorable experience for me. I wasn’t playing a mute character, *I* was living that life, experiencing those things.
I think what makes far cry 5 so great for me is the fact that we can venture throughout hope county with followers who i enjoy hanging with, my main issue with far cry 6 was the companions being animals, they dont ride in vehicles with you, dont have witty banter between each other and its sad to journey around without companions to have around. I love being able to explore a vast open world with human followers who are memorable for me which is where 6 failed for me
I loved it when I first played it, and I remember a lot of people hating on it. The story was good, the gameplay good...overall just a great game. Can't even remember what new dawn or fc6 was about. A lot of love and care went into 5.
I quit my first play through because THE FRAMERATE WAS SO BAD. Every time I turned, I would become disoriented. it was so bad. Luckily, they just released a 60fps patch on ps5 so i can finally play this game for real. 1 hour in and my biggest complaint is fixed.

@@euphoricmayhemclimbing the towers on FAR CRY PRIMAL also so much fun.

Thank you for making this video!
Love the pooh quote. Wholesome af 🙏🏽
The OST was really phenomenal
I listen to it quite a lot still.
For me the best one is age of mullet
Unless you are talking about the 110+ licenced songs
@@clarksonoceallachain8536 tbh a lot of songs are not licenced in far cry 5, also are you irish?
Bro I was like why wasn't it nominated for best soundtrack in the 2018 game awards
"Let the water wash away your sins"
The americana locale, creepy cult, and wonderful score really added so much to this game!
One of the best Far Cry games.
Ubi release a 60fps patch please!
they did
@@georgeleon09 really?!
@@travisspazz1624 I have it on Xbox but I’m not sure if it’s on PS if you’re on that but it’s worth checking. It’s only for next gen btw

@@travisspazz1624 great to hear I hope it’s there
In my case, the disadvantage of getting old is not really enjoying video games anymore. It's sad, no matter what I try, I just get bored after 10-15 min and never play again.
This game was the first game in years that kept me glued to my PC. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
God of war 2018 gave me the same feeling
It's not you, games have progressively gotten worse in quality and care.
Or you re depressed
Hope county was such a cool switch up of the far cry setting to me, not sure if it’s cause I grew up around mountains and in America but I just loved everything about the setting here
The soundtrack is something else, it’s somewhat nostalgic but even 5 years later after listening to it today I felt as if this game came out yesterday. Such an amazing game.
still play it. The map looks good and stealth takedowns and outposts are fun
One of the best intro segments ever in a game
Bit long tho
i absolutely love the art direction in this game, the graphics looks really nice and the lighting is just amazing. this was my first far cry game i've ever played and makes me wish ubisoft would remaster the previous one's and updated them a bit for modern platforms
Man, you'd love Far Cry 3. Joseph Seed is an AMAZING villain, but he doesn't have shit on how batshit crazy Vaas was.
@@ChaoticGoodPeasant23Vaas in Far Cry 3 was straight up OP.
Finished it myself for the first time recently. I really enjoyed it. Cool story. I liked the characters. Ending was unexpected. Much better than 6.
The whole theme/concept of this game just works so well.
When gaming gets so bad games you thought were just ok at the time seem like masterpieces now. I have a soft spot for Far Cry 5 now too.
It's almost
Skyrim in a modern setting, without the fluff.
@@DarthRaider520 like Skyrim with guns
Its the best far cry for me, it had the best map in the series and also the first one that did something like this, you had abandoned bunkers, houses and different places all around the map so it made open world so much fun to explore than any previous game. Villain was really good and original. I also loved the atmosphere, the country music and overall how map looked like, lets not also forget the planes lol
Blood dragon is the best
There were definitely parts of FC5 which were mesmerizing and really well done. A really charming open world to get lost in.
I remember it being a really good game. Just felt like it went by too quick and I would have loved a bigger map or the one it used having more to do
True. This is Big Sky Country. We need more wideness.
playing this game again in July 2023, still my favorite story line so far. Hands down the best far cry
I loved the ending of this game really unexpected. And the sidequests are wacky and weird, in one u have to retrieve a cow's testicles while they are mating.
I got the game After Ubisoft fixed the AI issues and didnt watch any spoilers about the game…
I played it. Instantly my favorite
@@anonymous_dot_com2326 they meant underated as in what people thought of the game, not its sales
The thing I remember most about this game is me having the time of my life playing the space dlc, it was super fun!
Far cry 5 is very tedious but I like that. When your in the middle of the region boss fights and bunkers your heart races so much its crazy. I come back to it regularly when I am bored it’s seriously awesome
far cry 5 for me only had one flaw, it was the fact that there was no voice lines for the player (deputy) besides "ugh" "egh" "oh"
Farcry 5 is American simulator
Me and the wifey just started playing this game (game pass) and it’s so damn good I can’t remember a campaign that felt this nice for two players.. feels natural feels great to hunt down a evil family, and the sister faith was badass.
Far cry 3 and 5 are the best in the series.
Those loading screen songs took it to another level. The Hammock reinterpretation tracks🙏🙏
This game made me want to build a cabin in the middle of nowhere in Montana. Except for the part where I'm forced into the boss battles instead of choosing when to do them on my own, this game was fucking awesome! Loved the characters, the story, the environment and the gameplay.
It was a great game, I don't know why people think differently. It's not perfect, but I believe it's the best Far Cry since 3.
It's definitely better than FC6 for me.

I love this game, I'm already on my fourth playthrough, it's so fun. I highly recommend this game to anyone who hasn't played it.
I feel like far cry 5 was a return to form. The story was unexpectedly deep. That ending was confusing but I like thought provoking art 9/10
FC5 is awesome. Playing it again right now. You can almost smell the forests
For those who want a more interesting experience with this game, you can try restricting yourself to a lot of things!
-Play on Hardest difficulty (Hard/Infamous)
-No Compass
-No Fast Travel/Wingsuit
-No Detection Meter
-No Binocular Tracking
-No Enemy Markings
-Only one upgrade to a certain weapon
-No ammo upgrades
-No Fisher King
-No Vehicle Buster
-Not allowed to shoot while driving
-No GFH allies (If ya want you can do like a Nuzlocke where they die they stay dead forever)
-No faster walking perk
-No "Nimble Fingers"
-*No Fishing Rod Upgrades*
-No Brass Knuckles
-No HUD
-Basically any Onscreen UI like Detections or Trackings, Gone.
-The Goal of these restrictions is to give the player the most authentic experience with the game, instead of just marking everything and seeing outlines through everything, now you have to constantly watch your back if you don't want them seeing you; Or plan ahead and experiment to see what works (Luring Cultists to Proximity C4/Setting off explosives to get Cultists away so you can sneak in)
-Basically these restrictions should force you to experiment with your play style!
5:59 the accidental foreshadowing lol 😅
The unreleased soundtrack is so good. I'm glad people finally came around to this game
Honesty I love FC3, FC4 and FC5 they may be similar but each of them definitely have there own progressions and add something new and fresh and 5 really went into it’s atmosphere and it just works I love going around in beautiful Montana.
I just about passed out laughing when you untied that hostage and she *immediately* got jumped by a cougar 😂🐆
Growing up in Colorado with similar mountain towns, having a crazy cult group thrown in is just so so so fitting. Far cry 5 is an amazing game and anyone who has experienced these small mountain towns will all tell you something like this is entirely possible.
I can't lie, this video just made me buy Far Cry 5 as i didn't play this one. Thanks Jayvee!
They added so many good guns later for free into the base game.
Far cry 5 multiplayer is so underrated, prob best map editor in gaming so far
Father is one of the top 3 villains in far cry
my fav of the whole series...some parts is nonsensical but joseph seed made up for it,one of the best villans to me...and that music just made it an experience
Im glad that people are starting to find out how good far cry 5 is, when it was released it received alot of backfire because there were plenty of UA-cam channels comparing only the weak points of the game such as npcs interactions with other games instead of some good aspects like hunting or the immersion without HUD, i got obsessed with this game when it came out and i replayed like 8-9 times, but tbh there's no really a "bad" far cry game all of them are really good
The intro in FC 5 is the best intro in all FC games
the ONLY bad thing in the game is the dog not being able to ride with you, such a weird choice to make
Some of y'all don't understand the power that the map of this game has, especially when playing it in places where the sun goes down early.
This game made me feel like villains are not always villains 😭
Just because he was right doesn't make trafficking people and sacrificing them as turning them into slaves good or right.
@@blackstallion7927 yeaa his way to do things was wrong
You're joking, right? Joseph Seed had "nonbelievers" killed, kidnapped and enslaved people, and essentially shut down an entire place from the outside. The intro had him straight up murdering someone. How is this not villainous?
At best, he may be a well-intentioned extremist. At worst, he's a narcissistic mass murderer.
@@blackstallion7927 He also wasn't right.
I remember that in drama, in high school, I did Joseph Seed's monologue inside of Jacob's compound. Everyone was too scared to speak lol
FC4 might be my favourite for the narrative ... but I love FC5 for being the most fun. Just being able to wreak havoc and plunge everything into complete chaos. I did enjoy the story but not the way they told it. But all those guns, vehicles and having an animal companion like in Primal was awesome.
i love Far Cry series, hope there is a part 7 about zombie apocalypse
One of the best games I ever played! The only real issue I had with this game was that it didn’t allow 4player co-op through the campaign!
No far cry game has ever done that
@@Lung-Stealer You are correct! However, around this particular timeframe BlackOps4 was released and it allowed for four players to complete the campaign.
@@Deviljho5 eh true
Hope far cry 7 has a co-op campaign mode but the cutscenes change if you have another player in the session

But in co-op it's the both of you shooting

I really liked this game, it may not be like Far Cry 3 or 4 in terms of the tropical location but I found myself loving Montana and the antagonists of FC5
I remember being made fun of for saying that this was the best game in the series.
yeah it sucks, people who don't even play far cry 5 just say it's trash and say far cry 3 is the best one. fc5 definitely better
@@stankewrx 1)far cry 5 has boring story and content
2)boring missions
3)annoying characters
4)stupid ending
5)Far cry 3 has better story, content, gameplay and characters.
@@levzyrianov5486 yeah it's like what you just said but the exact opposite you must be thinking of Far Cry 6.
FC5 was the first time i played a video game where the forests felt like they werent made by some random dude, its crazy how realistic they were. Playing this game took me back to walking the trails alone with my dog as a kid
If you're played 30% you've played 100%
i just bought it for 5$ the other day and Its one of the greatest game stories i ever experienced. Very simple and straight to the point with a gorgeous American aesthetic to it, I really loved this farcry and now playing them all.
This game has, in my opinion, the absolute best music.
Modern games simply blather too much. I agree.
I love being able to explore a vast open world with human followers who are memorable for me which is where 6 failed for me
I get why everyone loves boomer but cheesebuger is the best
I loved it when I first played it, and I remember a lot of people hating on it. The story was good, the gameplay good...overall just a great game. Can't even remember what new dawn or fc6 was about. A lot of love and care went into 5.
Joseph is just an average 2nd amendment enjoyer
I quit my first play through because THE FRAMERATE WAS SO BAD. Every time I turned, I would become disoriented.
it was so bad.
Luckily, they just released a 60fps patch on ps5 so i can finally play this game for real. 1 hour in and my biggest complaint is fixed.
