Guys the whole list is good but number 4 isn’t the best thing to listen to because if you want a attachment and you have the money for it just buy it, it will make the game better because you have what you want/need instead of using every “precious” dollar wisely and if you need money go hunting
I love how the progression limits you for the first bit, makes it a little more grounded and semi realistic. Now I’m further in, have all holsters, plenty of awesome vehicles, the ability to spawn in from the sky and a Sci-fi gun that turns enemies into red mist. Oh far cry, you never disappoint!
This one disappointed me. The "Resistance metre" tying the open world to progression made the open world pointless and almost linear. As an experiment I completed Faith's region ignoring the story missions by engaging in the random encounters. One of the best things about open world games is the longevity of being able to wander around and complete side missions and encounters, but they ruined it with this game.
Shakes First I wouldn’t say it was ruined, but it’s definitely a step in the wrong direction. I feel like you get too many points per action completed. Honestly? I’d advise anyone playing on their first run to mod the game in order to rebalance it - plenty of mods exist to change the resistance meter.
@Jake Paul’s hairline You do stupid really well. Maybe you should get an adult to look up the word hallucination for you...And then explain the definition as well.
First thing my ADHD brain did when I got to the first base was "Whos this Larry guy and whats he doing in the woods?" And got an unlimited ammo alien pulsar gun. Was definitely not expecting it
Boomer is by far one of the most important assets you can unlock in the game. He will not only help you in combat, but will also help you hunt. You just have to pay attention to what he does. He will growl when he detects another animal nearby, and the animal will be spotted on your screen. If the animal is not within sight, such as behind a hill, boomer will start sniffing the ground and walking off. If you follow him, he'll lead you right to the animal.
I agree but it can be annoying when ur out in the woods and he just growls at a bear or a random animal that you don’t want to fight and try to avoid but boomer attracts the animal so u have to fight it and waste ammo also boomer doesn’t have much hp so he’s always needing to be revived but he’s good as starter
Well what do u do when you only have your sniper out and a bow if u click y but there a person shoot at u with a ak 47 what do u do I tried shoot the person with the sniper but I miss 2 shoot and died 😊😅

I've beaten the entire game with only a shovel Granted when the game forced me to use a weapon (like John's bossfight) I used it as minimal as I could, then get right back to shovels

Having watched a the beginning and a bit more on a stream, I must say, the mute player character is such a turn off for me. The thing I liked about FC3 and 4 (and primal, but it's not that obvious) was that Jason and Ajay actually had things to say. Not Bioware style talking, but an "oh shit" or "ok, I'll get on that" reaaally adds to the immersion.. Is a silent character easier to project your feelings on? Maybe. But having a few voice types to choose from that just say simple things would have improved it a lot.
Great game! One thing that took me awhile to discover is that whenever you find a white locked door there is usually a key around somewhere nearby. Definitely don’t pass these up because I have found useful gear and perk points in them.
Figured I’d bring this up since not many know about it. So like Far Cry 4, there is another secret ending at the beginning. When prompted to cuff The Father, DO NOT CUFF HIM, and wait for a few minutes. You just end up leaving Hope County and the credits roll 😅😅
For me one of the first skills you should pick up is the one that makes you crouch walk faster and I also think it lets you run with infinite stamina. Even if you aren't a stealth oriented player just being able to avoid fights sometimes is the easiest option especially when you're low on HP or in a place with limited cover. In a case like that being able to move quickly without being spotted can save you a respawn.
This is my first Far Cry game, so I was a bit skeptical about buying it... but once I ordered the Gold Edition on Xbox and started playing it, it’s amazing!
leipä suuhun agreed, farcry5 is the worst out of all of them😂 Farcry 4 having the best gameplay, farcry 3 having the best story and farcry 2 having the best map.
One tip most people tend to miss. Every outpost has a safe. It will contain money and silver. Save the silver bars up and you can buy one of the premium helicopters. The nice part is that helicopter will be there next time you start a game. So you can begin by going to one of the helicopter spawns and pick up your free ship.
I know you wrote this 3 years ago but i just started this game a few days ago and this comment has me confused. So far i must've liberated maybe 10 outposts and i've made an effort of looking around everywhere. I think i found maybe 3 or 4 safes, on most outposts there was no safe to be found and also none of the ones i found had silver bars in them. I'm very confused
@@Milksteakss I just found my first and I'm maybe mid-way through the game, got the in-game explanation that they're in every outpost and I was equally confused.
Freaking love this game! It's like the best elements of Ghost Recon meets the best elements of classic Far Cry...with new, fresh and exciting things added. Ubisoft has been killing it with their last few titles.
Huge tip for anyone playing this game first thing you shud do after u leave the island hop in a helicopter and low fly the entire map you will literally unlock all the camps and lil.towns all over which is important to see early in game
Every AR can be easily turned into a sniper with a decent scope and changing it to semi auto. Saves up a space for snipers. Also, use GFH's and specialists differently and simultaneously as some of their perks can really help in a fight.
I was one of those people who wasn't too hyped about far cry 5. But the game is actually really fun! The only thing that bothers me is, there aren't allot of weapons available. for example there are only really 2 assault rifles. a m4 type weapon and an ak type weapon.. The rest of the assault rifles are just the same with different skins. They even have the same exact stats.. But knowing money hungry Ubisoft, It's probably cut content for future dlc..
There’s so much shit it stresses me out. I’m only about 1-2 hours in. Should I stick with it? I mean I kinda don’t really know what I’m doing, I’m just following what the objectives show me.
Also after playing multiple times through, suppressors and extended mags on literally everything no exception, go for health perks first but honestly if you deck out the AR-CL (you can find it in the world pretty commonly) with a marksman sight it’ll get you way further without needing to waste perk points on extra holsters
Here’s something you should know: takedowns in the game are kinda crap. The knife throw takedown has been replaced with the weapon throw, you throw your own weapon, and it spins through the air so if the enemy is next to a lamp post the weapon bounces off of it, rendering the weapon throw useless. The sidearm takedown is also useless, now you pull your own gun out and shoot them, but it doesn’t even lock on to them. It’s better to just finish the normal takedown and then just shoot the other guy. Chain takedown is still here though, it’s fine. However, the last thing you should know is that the vehicle takedown and the grenade takedown have been removed.
I’ve played every far cry game and far cry 5 is far different from the rest it’s amazing I don’t get why these reviewers are all saying it’s a lot of the same
I really recommend getting the torch perk I'm surprised he didn't mention it because its a must have firstly if your vehicle get broke you can fix it and secondly if you run out of ammo you can set enemies on fire with it with unlimited ammo and the most important reason for getting it is every outpost has a safe which you can open with the blow torch and inside it is money and silver bars so the blow torch really is top priority and a tip worth knowing myself I thought half the stuff he said the game makes clear to you and perks are down to taste of play
Ashar idk if u have bought it yet but the game wasnt wat i expected tbh. I dont like fortnite so i went out to look for other games. Far cry 5 looked ok i bought it and idk if its because I’ve never played it but the mission and things u have to do felt the same. U just liberate outposts, destroy properties fight the boss and move on to the next area. These things felt more like a chore than u actually wanting to do em. Once i finished the game there was literally nothing to do so i uninstalled cuz it was that boring. There was this lil game mode tho called far cry arcade it was pretty cool but aside from that the game was meh. This is my honest opinion although im sure u bought the game already lol.
BIGG 4078 Lmao yeah the first far cry i played was 4 and It was cool for the first couple of hours then it just gets redundant there’s nothing new it just feels like you’re doing the same thing over and over again. I mean it’s not a bad game, but it’s not great either. It’s okay and it’s a pain to even bring yourself to want to finish the game.
Got it for $10 on PSN a couple days ago. Enjoying very much, but Ghost of Tsushima just came out, don't know if I want to finish this first or jump back and forth
Something else you should know is that you can unlock weapons by picking them up. So if an enemy drops a weapon that you don't have you should grab it (you don't need to hold on to it or anything so you can throw it back down immediately after). This will save you a ton of money especially considering how hard it is to get a lot early on.
Only the basic weapons tho. Starting rifle, starting pistol, basic sniper and basic bow is all they carry. Occasionally a flamethrower or basic MG. Bottom line? Still need to buy guns that are not basic starters.
Love the focus on perk points. After about 15 hours into the game I’ve realized how important picking the right ones are and how crucial they are to beating he game and having fun. Best investment for me so far was increased health, crouch mobility, additional holster and believe it or not fishing. Fish are an easy way to make big Bucks to buy vehicles with or upgrade your guns and character 👍 also silence those guns and extend clips early on.
I’ve been playing for a few day and had no idea that you had different drugs you can take to improve game play. I’ve almost beaten the game and I just barely found out about it
I laughed my ass off when I found out about throwing melee weapons. I ran out of ammo and was hitting with a bat and all of a sudden I threw it and nailed him square in the face.
Unlock the Widowmaker truck early. It is strong and has two built in LMGs that can be controlled while driving. If you have the auto repair perk it makes it unstoppable
Things I like about far cry 5 personally: 1. How hunting is actually worth it for cash now. 2. How map discovering works 3. How realistic discovering missions is. 4.Bullet drop and flight time so you have to calculate how up or how much away from your enemy to aim from afar. 5. Details like cattle mating or getting used to dark or brightness when heading out from a house etc 6. Map design. At first I thought it would suck if compared to fc3 island paradise but it's actually really good map. 7. How hunting works. For instance when you shoot a deer with a bow once it will run away but it will start limping soon and die few dozen meters away. 8. Fishing 9. Finally actually planes and helicopters in far cry. Buzzer wasn't good enough. 10. Graphics, sound, character movement etc. 11. Customisation and posters actually match your looks. 12. Perk system is actually quite sweet and so are perks. 13. How enemies and allies get hurt and fall down like the player. I like to let peggies to die like that. 14. Stashes... this could go on but it's already too long. Things I dislike 1. How they took away things like desert eagle and other guns that have been there since fc2/3.Instead of desert eagle they have a like 3 different looking 44. Magnums with the same stats... Hell even useless flaregun should've made it and they could've given it a use. 2. Map discovering is cool but I kinda wish flying over it with a helicopter would discover it too. 3. No signature weapons. There's new cool looking skins and weapons with gold/deluxe edition but their damage is not any different. They just look far cooler. 4. That there was more cooler skins. Sure theres plenty if good skins but there's not that large choice anymore or so it feels. Lastly between like and dislike there is vehicle customisation. It could've been far better but hey it's still good and I like it.
the "getting used to darkness or brightness" and "deer dying after running away being shot" was present in far cry primal. fishing was nice addition but didnt do much to the overall gameplay. the one thing i hated the most was the forced progression and the fast resistance points build up
There is actually a version of the Desert Eagle now, its called D50 with .50 cal. rounds. Description is funny. Could blow peggies several meters away.
Just to add an additional tip...it may be worth it to unlock the leadership perk for a second companion early on. It's not hard to free good companions and they'll take some of the heat off of you. My build is a stealth build and even though I don't always send them in to attack when I'm taking an outpost...there have been many times where I was sniping from a mile out and some wild animal tried to attack....only for peaches or cheeseburger to alert me and challenge that animal....often chasing it off or battling it. That was especially useful in Faith's region.
If there's any one perk you should get, it's Harvest. With that and a bow, you get 4 skins per animal. Mix that with the perk that gives extra backpack space and you can get 15 of each animal really quickly. Money is no longer an issue in any way with that combination.
Abin George You know when you see something controversial about South park and you're like "ahh, of course i mean, it south park after all" You think the developers are like - 'okay, far cry game - it need drugs, hallucination scenes and bat-shit crazy environments! GO!!" ?
I have a tip for you dude. You probably already know this but if you beat the game on the real ending, it unlocks a new game+ that let's you start a new campaign but let's you keep all of your clothes, guns, money, perk unlocks and points, silver, etc. The only thing it dosent let you keep is resistance level and map unlocks. If you didnt know, I hope this helped... Ps: all of this applies after the prologue.
Bit late to the party, but I came up with a few more tips to include: First off, invest in the repair torch early on. It's an extremely handy tool: it can be used to repair your vehicles, unlock safes (which include substantial cash rewards, and occassionally silver bars that you would otherwise have to buy) and can even be used as a melee weapon in a pinch. Second: unlock Death Wish as quickly as possible. A versatile 4d vehicle with MG capabilities is invaluable, especially in cooperative play. Third: avoid the flamethrower. It runs out of ammo very quickly, slows you down as you fire it, can very quickly box you in with fire, and enemies you blast with it will usually attempt a kamikaze run on you. It's just not worth it when you have more powerful and versatile heavy guns to use.
I know this game is older now. But me and my buddy just picked it up and we found that the best way to make money is to get the upgraded storage for animals and also the double loot upgrade that gives you more pelts from hunting. Stack up on bait and you can hunt and sell a ton of pelts and make thousands very quick
I bought this game on uplay store for $15 dollars. Well worth every penny. I just picked it up 5 days ago and I can’t stop playing. I looked at a bunch of videos on how to make money. Hunting, with a bow and double loot from skins and I am pulling in 6k-14k every 20-30 min. Because I have a pattern but then I’ll also do scouting and other stuff. I unlocked all three pets because it gives you leadership and extra perk points so now I can have 2 companions and I use boomer and the chick with a bow.
It's even better in 2019. I'm on my 4th playthrough now, and they've added Infamous difficulty (which is what I'm currently doing). It was particularly interesting to replay after having finished Far Cry New Dawn, which happens 17 years after Far Cry 5 and reintroduces several of the same characters.
I just noticed when you clear something or a part of the map and you get the magazines for the perk points, you can come back and get them again in co op. Extra points points you can use besides doing the arcade. Also takes less time too.
I would also recommend skinning every single animal you kill because that money is HUGE helpful in the beginning of the game. lol I cannot stress how useful that is.. although too I wasn't sure if Arcade mode was going to be any fun.. now that I know it's really interesting I want to try it out. Thanks for that tip!
I've played it for about 5 hours and so far it's really good, shooting is easy( I recommend 50% sensitivity), it feels like farcry but different, also if you've played farcry before and you're experienced on taking outposts it's very easy to take them out stealthy
Angry Bulldog Gaming I kind of feel like the weapons behave like those in PUBG, but better and smoother. Especially when shooting long range I get that feeling
I’ve never played a Far Cry game so to me this game is legit I’ve enjoyed it but I had doubts buying it because of everyone that says it’s the same as previous Far Cry titles. This just lets me know not to listen to the hype and play the game myself and come up with my own conclusion
Buy the featured sniper then go to raptors peak and about a 1/4 of the way down there are cougars bisons, bears, mooses, and wolves and a headshot with that sniper is a one shot so you can just farm them.

I just started playing for the first time today and I was like hmmmm what if I don’t cuff him?
For me one of the first skills you should pick up is the one that makes you crouch walk faster and I also think it lets you run with infinite stamina. Even if you aren't a stealth oriented player just being able to avoid fights sometimes is the easiest option especially when you're low on HP or in a place with limited cover. In a case like that being able to move quickly without being spotted can save you a respawn.
John lam Leadership is by FAR the best perk. 2 companions!!!
Fjparasite Moreira I did say one of.
Fjparasite Moreira the companions are trash. Please sit down
Aidan I don’t know cheeseburger is a tank and with jess I can farm animals
Aidan Palkin jess is deff great to have for sure. If none of them, at least use jess man. Easy money.
The best throwing weapon is the Shovel tho....cause it's one shot :D :D
True. I always use it again heavy opponents
Explains why they made a whole launcher for it
This is my first Far Cry game, so I was a bit skeptical about buying it... but once I ordered the Gold Edition on Xbox and started playing it, it’s amazing!
Bro play fc 3 4 easily the best ones
leipä suuhun nope
leipä suuhun
agreed, farcry5 is the worst out of all of them😂 Farcry 4 having the best gameplay, farcry 3 having the best story and farcry 2 having the best map.
N I C O L A S far cry 3 was hella boring, so overrated
How? Vaas was an amazing villain
@@Milksteakss keep checking they exist. Also some safes are not in plain site but hidden
@@Milksteakss I just found my first and I'm maybe mid-way through the game, got the in-game explanation that they're in every outpost and I was equally confused.
it's strange how Jake's voice sounds normal even when the speed is set to x1.5
Raees Roshan wtf u right
“My aim is terrible !”
Gameranx: “Hold my beer !”

Opening of this game was atmospheric and intense...
Goddammit why didn’t I think of that, even though like everything except the Mountains are completed, this sounds smarter
Slash Le Pew the two 45/70 variants and the M1A variants have different range stats but you’re right about everything else.
That game is gorgeous, it's so well optimised as well! I'm playing on max at 4k and still getting 50-60 fps! Antagonist is hella cool too
What are ur specs
This game is so dope I'm worried the DEA is going to kick down my front door to get it.
I’ve played every far cry game and far cry 5 is far different from the rest it’s amazing I don’t get why these reviewers are all saying it’s a lot of the same
Steven Anderson Exactly, it feels very different. You can still tell its Farcry but they have changed it up.
For me it is the best far cry
This is my first far cry game and I m loving it a lot.
Try far cry 1 honestly the best of the early series
@@YellowOysterCult lol I hate the first. Too buggy. 3rd my fav personally.
@@TheLoy71 nah for the time 1 had the best ragdoll effects I'd ever seen and yeah 3 is amazing
Far Cry 2 is the best of the series for sure
@@TheLoy71 btw depends which far cry 1 you're talking about, apparently there's like 3 different versions
Take a shot every time Jake says "but"
Alice Wagner Thanks a lot now I need a new liver!!!
I think I need a new liver
Alice Wagner Jake's 'But' is the Brain of his operation - He must say like 5,000 'Buts' in every video - it's Gameranx's law
Pick it up lads, discount on steam, $23.99 atm. Not sure if it's worth the 60 but for 24 it's a braindead easy yes.
Ima buy it today for $15 lol

Waffle Copter Casually gets flamethrower in 1st hour. Lol.
Waffle Copter the same for Far Cry 3. I didn't care too much for Far Cry 4.
Yup! Found a semi auto sniper rifle about 20 minuets after I bought one

This is probably one of the best games i have ever played
I’ve been playing for a few day and had no idea that you had different drugs you can take to improve game play. I’ve almost beaten the game and I just barely found out about it
I laughed my ass off when I found out about throwing melee weapons. I ran out of ammo and was hitting with a bat and all of a sudden I threw it and nailed him square in the face.
About to install this on my Xbox One X in a couple days. I saw it on a discount, and I’ve heard great things about this game so here I am.

1bobbywilliams Is it good... I kinda heard it was shitty.
Unlock the Widowmaker truck early. It is strong and has two built in LMGs that can be controlled while driving. If you have the auto repair perk it makes it unstoppable
Grazthum Raze unless u drive off a ledge
Things I like about far cry 5 personally:
1. How hunting is actually worth it for cash now.
2. How map discovering works
3. How realistic discovering missions is.
4.Bullet drop and flight time so you have to calculate how up or how much away from your enemy to aim from afar.
5. Details like cattle mating or getting used to dark or brightness when heading out from a house etc
6. Map design. At first I thought it would suck if compared to fc3 island paradise but it's actually really good map.
7. How hunting works.
For instance when you shoot a deer with a bow once it will run away but it will start limping soon and die few dozen meters away.
8. Fishing
Things I dislike
It could've been far better but hey it's still good and I like it.
the "getting used to darkness or brightness" and "deer dying after running away being shot" was present in far cry primal.
fishing was nice addition but didnt do much to the overall gameplay.
the one thing i hated the most was the forced progression and the fast resistance points build up
Today I played far cry 5 and I understood its piece of shit vs far cry 3
I know I’m late but there is a desert eagle in the game now if you don’t already know
There is actually a version of the Desert Eagle now, its called D50 with .50 cal. rounds. Description is funny. Could blow peggies several meters away.
got the platinum for this game 2 years ago and i'm going for it again now and for some reason i'm still deciding to watch this video, such a good game
I’m also using my bethesda exploring and looting hat for far cry 5 hehe and boomer is dog meat :)
Chaos, Crazy and Drugs seems like far cry. I'm definitely playing
Abin George You know when you see something controversial about South park and you're like "ahh, of course i mean, it south park after all" You think the developers are like - 'okay, far cry game - it need drugs, hallucination scenes and bat-shit crazy environments! GO!!" ?
The extra fighter perk is a must.
after beating any Far Cry game you dont need to start a new game you cn keep playing the games for ever

Thank you for this, going into the game next week this will be a godsend :). Thank you for taking the time these high quality videos take,
Gotta get me a vpn, just bought this game and now this is recommended
Bit late to the party, but I came up with a few more tips to include:
First off, invest in the repair torch early on.
I just started playing and love the game. I’m a newbie to this. Your video helped a lot
I wish I would’ve kept track of my progress because I remembered getting captured for the first time and not being prepared at all
I'm thinking of replaying it and staying off the roads. I think the prisoner vans and checkpoints give a lot of XP and make you progress too quickly.
I know this game is older now. But me and my buddy just picked it up and we found that the best way to make money is to get the upgraded storage for animals and also the double loot upgrade that gives you more pelts from hunting. Stack up on bait and you can hunt and sell a ton of pelts and make thousands very quick
It’s very crowded and busy considering you’re in Montana! I killed at least double the population of that state already LOL
Is it worth it in 2019
Maximilian Soldier thats what im wondering
Just got it for 40 bucks at frys electronics. It's a pretty good game
Yes
I love far cry 5 is the best and i have play the all fromo 2 to 6 also 2 is super underrated

I’ve never played a Far Cry game so to me this game is legit
I’ve enjoyed it but I had doubts buying it because of everyone that says it’s the same as previous Far Cry titles.
This just lets me know not to listen to the hype and play the game myself and come up with my own conclusion
you gotta play far cry 3, even far cry 4 is good. But 3, it's a work of art.
Buy the featured sniper then go to raptors peak and about a 1/4 of the way down there are cougars bisons, bears, mooses, and wolves and a headshot with that sniper is a one shot so you can just farm them.
Fangs and guns for hire are so important that they make the game a cakewalk on the hardest difficulty.
