  • Tip-76;
    Atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor is an embryonal tumor that occurs primarily in infants ( up to 3 years old), both in supratentorial and infratentorial locations, and is associated with a dismal outcome. It usually shows a diffuse growth pattern, but occasionally can show a nodular growth pattern, in which nodules showing neuroblastic differentiation can resemble nodular/ desmoplastic medulloblastoma. Applying the appropriate immunostain is of paramount importance in establishing the diagnosis, since the treatment and outcome are different.
