This van build is the best I have ever seen. I've been viewing van builds for 3 - 4 years, so it is no small thing. There are 2 or 3 items I would add, but 4 to 5 items she has built in that I wouldn't want or use. Bravo! Well done! 👍
This is an extraordinary build... I can only imagine what Mark's other builds look like. He made her van a home, a beautiful home... at least I know who to contact when I'm ready to take the plunge into nomadic life...
I have never seen a better match of client and builder. Both are super passionate. Great build. Judy needs to be Mark's PR director.
The AC stashed away under the car and under a bench also means it's going to be MUCH more quiet than an RV rooftop AC. Plus, of course, none of the inefficiencies of having to have an inverter involved, just straight 12 (or better yet, 24) volt from the batteries. They're only 5-600 watts so they're not cooling monsters but for a small van it should be plenty in all but the hottest areas. And even there of course it will help a ton even if you don't get down to chilly temps. But I like this build, this is a modern van conversion. It beats most RV's in that there is no old crap tech. No old lead acid batteries, no old scary and inconvenient propane, and still you have a great living experience. Nice work by Marc, and of course nice work by the outfits that put together the floor and power stuff.
Yeah, but too bad this AC costs around $4,000!%$#@!
@@glitchfactory98 Yeah, it's not cheap, and then you need to buy Lithium Ferrous batteries to the tune of another $4-5000.
I'd like to see how the condenser is installed (underneath?) and how it's protected from road debris/splashing. Can the AC run while driving?
@@mjones9639 Great questions!
link to buy ac?
WOW! This van is beautiful 💕 Mark seems like such a cool guy! Enjoy your van Judy, it's awesome!!
I had to rewind because I just couldn’t stop looking at all of the beautiful wood work and missed what you all were saying. Mark is an artist for sure. And you’re right, the level of difficulty is pretty high and definitely out of my league. It doesn’t mean I won’t ever get there, but in all honesty I doubt it. That’s okay though, I just love looking and enjoying what others can do. Amazing.
Seems to me Judy has worked hard and saved for what would make her happy. Good for her, she earned it and I’m happy for her.
Excellent build, in the top 5 i've ever seen (pretty sure I've seen the majority of them)
Love the woodwork, electronics, refrigeration solution, 300AH of lithium batteries, 12v a/c and heating, alternator charging, 400 watts of solar, dual fan ventilation-everything is pro.
Only 400w of solar??
That's also what I am thinking. I will have 6.5kWh of battery and 650 Watts of solar. But am still worried I will have to take a drive every once in a while to top up the battery
Think you so much for sharing your adventures with us all. I've been thinking about doing this so much but the fear I will admit is holding me back, I know that everyone will comment "don't let that stop you, just go for it." but I'm in my 40's and have a home a steady job and lifestyle and just picking up and leaving that stability is not an easy task. I retired from the U.S. Army two years ago and that 20 years of serving my country have come with so much good, yet some very bad. The good is this, I have seen all of Europe, the countrysides of Kosovo, South Korea, and even in major war zones, with all the sadness and destruction of those areas I have seen the beauty in the deserts of Iraq, and the mountains of Afghanistan. But though all those years, I have barely seen my own country, and I feel Van life will give me the greatest chance to see all of North America. Due to my service, it does afford me a steady income above what I make with my job, that could help with this endeavor, but just upending my life, boy that is still a thing. Anyway, think you for your uplifting and realistic look of this lifestyle and hoping to see more.
Why don't you get a cheap van and try out some weekend getaways and see how it feels. If it is not for you, sell it.
I found my dream van, the color, floor plan, the outside couch is amazing, Excellent Job Marc! Congratulation Judy, enjoy your new life!
I’ve been watching conversion van videos for 3 or more years and have a small weekender van. This to me, looks like a fantastic build with beautiful craftsmanship and thoughtful execution for some long term travel. So beautiful. Hoping Marc is still building by the time my kiddo goes to college and I want more than a weekender. Love it.
The good works performed by craftsmen. The collaboration, the inspiration to spark the the work, the engineering, the aesthetics, the end results. There is indeed "heart" put into this van. Love these projects! And they are so usable. Someday, someday......
This one is 100% perfect to me, in my personal case, despite never being able to afford something like this level model. I'm looking at former or "decommissioned" retirement community/disabled assistance transport, former U-Haul vans or even mid to heavy duty appliance (a la Sears, RC Willey and such) rigs to build from the flatbed up and specifically to make the hydrolic (etc..) lifts similar to having a multipurpose ("backdoor") deck. I know that several hit the sales (or auction) blocks after about 50-100K miles and many are "proud of their shit". So glad you're now an employee of Nomadik. I learn a lot from you. I'm in Draino...er, Reno, Nevada and am realizing the future of living - as I live in a nearly 60-year old modular, adjacent to I-80E (@ Keystone) and 5 blocks from my work. With no wind, I can even hit the interstate with a tennis ball.
Thank you for helping me learn some stuff.
BTW, I'm pretty good friends with a few of the stand-up crowd around here (Spock, Ruschioli, Mencarelli, etc) and want to hear more of your material. The more laughter the world can get right now, the faster we might heal from this bullshit.
This van shows the difference between a van builder and a house builder, there is no place for 2 by 4's in a van !
A TRUE CRAFTSMAN !!! BEAUTIFUL WORKMANSHIP !!
I hope Marc is reading this comment because I know that means a lot to him. You're so right!!!! I wish more understood what you said.
@@JarrodTocci I spent 30+ years in the construction industry and I fully understand and Agree with this Comment and hope Marc gets to see it!
You can truly see the heart and love put into this gorgeous peace of art. Mark is truly a beautiful person.. Love his personality. I love your tours.. It's very raw compared to all of the other super edited tours i have seen.
Thank you. All my tour videos are raw like this because I feel that's more real and what van life truly is
@@JarrodTocci Exactly.. Plus you get to see the REAL friendships you make along the way. I feel like these are my people, and i need to stop being so scared and just jump and get a van.
@@bethsheartsandgiraffes3619 jump!! Jump!!!
Beautifully crafted van and the first I've ever seen with proper AC. All of my research to date has suggested it just wasn't possible to run off solar. It would be great to see a special feature on how this was done. Nice vid and props to the builder.
I hope to install in my new van in the future and yes I'll do a video on that. Thank you
I love the layout and solar system too
MARK is One Skilled 👷 Builder. Pure Precision ! JUDY is so happy.
I watch a lot of these build videos, but I have to say....This guy has some MAD SKILLS! What an incredible build on this van, I am almost speechless with the thought and design that went into this!
Been hearing so much about Nomadik from your videos and the community . It’s great to finally see their work. Having a build done by them would be a dream!
This van is CHERRY 🍒! Everything I ever wanted except for a bathtub 🛁. A nice wooden soaking tub I saw on Pinterest.. I saw one hidden under the front seating bench in one van. She has such a low carbon footprint but has every single modern convenience. Nomadik Customs is a genius operation. I know the van uses gas, but that’s offset by so much reliance on solar and reduced space consumption, reduced trash output and water conservation. So many van builds look rough, chunky and unfinished, but this one is sooo refined without looking cookie cutter. It’s a work of art melded with top notch function. AND, that back lounge is genius. He should patent that and offer it as a kit for people who don’t have the woodworking skills to make it on their own. I hope I can afford this one day-my dream of dreams. Just brilliant. Leave it to the Northwest, you guys produce the most innovative things- Nirvana/grunge music, tiny houses and kick-ass vans.
Judy, I would ask Mark if he could multi-purpose that little table that is stored in the back. I'd try to find a way to use it up front in the cab between the two swivel seats. Use it for dining or maybe a mini office. For me, that would be such a great addition. It's a great van. Enjoy your travels.
I love this build. Tan and Black!!! I'm especially fond of the rear seat and consideration of EMFs when planning the placement of the control panel. Great work!
Wonderful Van! The integrated outside back seating and the floor mounted AC, with dual Fridge/Freezer units make this van memorable.
Fold down rear seats, paired with my idea of a roll out rear bed. Bar to keep doors in place and bug net canopy. Go from hanging out, to laying in bed, and maybe sleeping under the stars.
Now I've seen it all in a van! Amazing quality of design and fabrication. You're a true artist Marc! Judy, thanks for sharing and Jarrod, thanks for filming it! Excellent in every way. Happy trails.
Thank you 😊
Jarrod great tour. It would be really cool if you used a checklist of things you always cover in these tours. For example: make/model, showing the toilet or shower options if it has them, actually showing the solar, noting the size of the water tank, and anything special...in this case I would have loved to see the AC unit as well as the 2 seater in the back you showed. This van is awesome! Thanks again. :)
Thanks. I go with the flow but I totally understand and I should make a list. The AC unit is hard to show only because it's just a box and not much to it
@@JarrodTocci thanks Jarrod. I'm here for whatever you put out, but this van was just so amazing I was craving more details. Can you tell me if the solar panel was one that you can walk on?
WOW!!! Incredible build. Love that it has A/C. Great video, also.
Loving Mark’s builds, and love your rapport with each other when showing them off! Fantastic!
These two have such pure souls ❤
OMG! Thats AMAZING! Love it all. That seat in back...definitely going into my build!!! The workmanship in the entire build is phenomenal! 💚I'm pea green with envy!
This is probably the best thought through build with the most original ideas I've ever seen. Also like the personalities of the builder and the owner. They seem to be great people, both. Nice one! 👍🏼😉
This van wow.. some of the most important things to me. AC, a lot of power,
Simply beautiful. I LOVE it! Thank you Judy and Marc for showing us around.
Hi Jarrod 😀🙆
What a beautiful build, quality shows through. Have many happy years travelling Judy. Marc is maestro. Thanks Jarrod
This is still one of my fav vans just for the wood details Mark did! Such an amazing job!!! Just a list of needs with budget realities!
There is a dude 2 channels in fact where right as you enter the van thru the side door, a hidden drain pan is there so the person can actually shower. (They hookup their own shower curtains to the ceiling). That's pretty much what this van needs & a cassette toilet if it doesn't have one
I'm falling in love with this pack up and park life .Im looking forward to living this life style.
One of the nicest designed and quality van builds I’ve seen, if I do one I’ll keep his info.
Was cool seeing this van. The lady that owns it was so nice. The cruise and comfort Air conditioner is so cool
Beautiful build! Love the no propane and ALL the details!!!
Mark was so cool. He did a great job on this
This is absolutely beautiful! Surprised you don't need more solar to power it but I be!ieve! I will probably watch this a few more times just to take it all in.
As long as you run mostly everything off 12v you don't need a lot of solar
Hands down, best build I've seen. My dream van wouldn't have the windows in the rear, possibly 4'way hidden cams snd monitor system. Incredible build.
I agree with her about the propane. I love this set up because of that fact plus the other goodies.
Has to be in top 5 conversions that I've seen.
That's probably the best van build I've ever seen. Love it!!!
This whole van is a master piece. The best van I ve ever seen!
Organic build out 101! Great work Mark!💖 Hope I can hire you someday....
Congrats! That’s absolutely gorgeous. Love your attention to detail and all the battery power. 💖🙋🏼♀️
What a fit out. Compliments to Mark on an outstanding job.✌
Mark is an artist and Genius.
This is the 1st place winner in my book. Thanks for sharing 😊
You might have to do a part 2 of this particular van for toilet & shower
And info on the solar and battery. I would love to see the general cost given, as well. This is a STUNNING van.
Exactly! Only thing I see that's missing. I have to have a shower incorporated into my future build. Preferably with recycled/ purified water supply. Otherwise this is great.
Beverly Hindersman Did they say what van they Started with? Also, they mentioned the composting toilet, but never heard a word about a shower. I don’t think there is one...? I know that a shower would definitely be at the top of my list. Just can’t imagine truck stop bathing or paying for a gym membership just to wash. Sorry, I’m a GenX, not a millennial. LOL...
Hopefully none of that will matter when I win the lottery and can customize a bus with a jacuzzi tub , or who knows? I may turn my van life fantasy into a yacht life reality!! LOL... It’s GOING TO HAPPEN 😆😘
@@TheDesireeFox Me too! But then I remember I never actually PLAY the lotto.
@@TheDesireeFox I wish they would say exactly what the van is. Looks like a high roof 159" wheelbase ProMaster.
What a beautiful build....WOW!!! The design is great!
Hey Jarrod, one of your best van tours. Just really great people you get to collaborate with.
Beautiful build. The one thing that I would add would be a small, matching wood back-splash behind the sink.
Seriously so beautiful. Very good taste with light wood and black details.
Wowwwwww best built I’ve seen so far! I want the exact same design!!!
Beautiful workmanship!! Love it...thank you for sharing!
Great work by Marc. Congratulations on a job very well done.
One of the best looking van, outstanding job, good taste, over all +10🚐
Ha, you’re not the only one in love with this van! Excellent work for sure 👍🏼👌🏼😎✌🏼
I bet there are tons of people out there who'd love to live this way
The best and most beautiful van I have ever seen and I have viewed 100s!!!
IT SHOWS HE LOVES WHAT HE DOING FINE JOB
Stunning build & creativity! Love the attention to detail which truly brings this to another level! Love this! Terrific investment for traveling the van life!
The best van built I’ve ever seen
I absolutely love the light wood with black accents. This is my jam. Very contemporary and sleek.
Sleek and Chic. 😊
It's like a classic little black dress, good taste and elegance never goes out of style. 👍
@@peacefulwife5199 HECK YES! :-D
This build is a work of art.
Wow great job mark
I’m SERIOUSLY contemplating buying something like this.
Doing lots of research and determining my wish list for a home on wheels.
I’m always excited to watch new builds!
I’m actually scared. I’m so used to all the luxury ways of life, determining what things I must reduce in size scares me.
I know I want this lifestyle, I just am hoping to find a build that’s 💯 everything I want/ can live with, so I can just have the company ( whomever it ends up being) to make a total duplicate.
I like Mark's work. That a beautiful build. Ans a cute owner. I'm hoping to get into a van next year.
What an amazing build, but more so a truly amazing builder! So many great idea to incorporate into my build.
I love the all electric, especially with A/C and heat and cooktop - wow !!
that is amazing, absolutely nailed it, WOW. AND considering EMF sensitivity too. holy cow. I want one now. 12v AC and heat? Yikes that's awesome.
Wait whoah.. if you could fit at least 3 and have fold chairs in storage, you could build much bigger fold down shelves on both doors. And have a full cooking/entertainment system at the rear of the van vs the side of the van! A large roll out for a projector, were talking cooking, bar, full commodities, small camp fire and s’mores, and a rear ice cooler? Thats a full luxury outdoor trip at the rear of the van. Not even the side of the van included!
My favorite van conversion ever, extremely beautiful and practical!!!
Very nice!!!!! I like this! I’m glad she’s happy w it too!
Just gorgeous but for me I would had put a wetbath where that little couch behind driver is and kept couple of folding chairs in the garage for company. That's just me of course.
I've only seen it once, but one van design essentially used the aisle space ahead of the bed for a shower. The curb side had a cabinet, street side incorporated the toilet and above shower head, and maybe something else, and then there were sliding pocket doors to isolate the bed and forward region from the shower space. The portion of the aisle for the shower incorporated a drain floor with grid above to stand on when not in use. Anyway, I think that is the solution for these extremely compact vans where space is at such a premium.
Jarrod featured another fantastic build which included a great shower setup with recycled/purified water eliminating the need for huge freshwater tank & enabled the van to be used off grid for extended periods of time. It also had an incredible solar powered electrical system designed by the builder/owner.
@@sjladuke75
I wonder if that was Snow & Curt's Sprinter conversion? There's is pretty good.
ua-cam.com/channels/yrjbkxt4kBuVJJuqVTkylw.html
Armando Mederos Jr. I’m with you there. I’d need a less of a bed like a twin xL and a upper bunk for my teen daughter I like the idea of a wet bath and permanently set up beds. However I do like my queen bed... but I heard something new today. An apartment is and expensive storage unit for your stuff that most isn’t needed.
I love the NO VENEER and no/low VOC and reducing emitted frequencies.
I wish more was done with the space over the cockpit
Snarge22
There’s a Chanel out there, I can’t remember the guys name but his wife is Snow
And he has an amazing showers system and recirculating shower water system and his shower expanding design is impressive too
Wow, wow, wow!!! Gorgeous!!! Thank you for sharing.
❤ wow nicest van build I've seen!! Thanks for sharing with us ❤ ✌
Undoubtedly the coolest van build I have seen.
amazing van mark ! i have been searching everywhere to find a central ac for my van! this is a godsend...really great work!!!!
Really beautiful build. Nice work Marc. I'll have to stop by when I'm up in PDX building my low budget van with my nephews.
Everyone should watch every video by Jarrod Tocci or G.H.O.S.T. van (on cap). Ideally, ever person should own a van like this for fun or for emergencies. September 2019
Thank you so much!! ☺️
Simply gorgeous!!! I want one like that!
Holy smoke, I’m here after watching your minimalist van tour today. I had someone else in mind when your referred to Judy’s van build (sorry Judy). You added the link to this video. I love this one also. Those rear benches, though. ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Awesome work!!!
Brilliant. I need to follow this perspective of building around an espresso machine!! 🙌🏽
We all do especially if you make good coffee like Judy!
I’m loving all the van tours/builds and I’m loving his work. What I’m trying to figure out is how much does a build like this cost? I want to know if I can afford it or how long I need to save for it? I know each build is different but it would help in your videos/tours if you’d mention what they cost. 🙏🤞
Amazing, Beautiful, Awesome Craftsmanship! My Dream Van!
Fantastic job
wow! This is so beautiful! Congrats!
That is an incredible build! Definitely one of my favorites!
Would love to speak to Mark about my simple van, just shelves , small portable gas stove ( i eat mostly salad), refrigerator, farm sink, TV, closet, under bed drawers, sky window swivel pax seat, usb ports next to bed, in front, plugs for my blender and mini expresso machine and my kurig,
Sick build! I'm excited to start a build!! Thanks Jarrod with the amazing videos!
