Tesla batteries have approximately half the range when fully charged after 2-3 years. 4 Years is absolute maximum time you can use one set of batteries. Here is a video where local guys blow up a tesla when the owner lost the warranty after trying to fix broken battery pack in quite low mileage tesla. It can work in sunny california but it's not so good here. ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=beyond+the+press+tesla+explosion And this is why we need other solutions than 100% electric car everywhere. @gmail account You are right about the extreme cold weather, it's not good for any cars yet but so far petrol (or perhaps hydrogen powered combustion, or the fuel cell technology would suffice) is my only option. We have EVs in cities on people who have access to warm parking cave and/or access to charger for example at work place garage or atleast they have warm garage at home, which many in apartment blocks don't have. 5 000 people and less than 5 chargers per block makes quite a long queue lines.
I'm little sad I must say I really am glad to have a good conversation about this. These days people tend to join the extremes in every guestion and cannot tolerate people with differing ideas or opinions. Yet we still must try to coexist on this Earth.

You need to control the fuel delivery and air delivery as a combination based off of a load multiplier just like a standard fuel table. I am sure you could set this up on an aftermarket engine ECU such as a Holley EFI system, and using both MAP and IAT sensors you could control both the throttle body for air and using a MAC valve on one of the outputs on the Holley system to control your fuel solenoid. You need a large supply and a large hose to the solenoid, with the solenoid being as close to your injectors as possible.

Currently hydrogen is not up to the task. A vehicle can only carry a fraction of the energy available in gasoline do to vessel size required for pressurized hydrogen. Liquid hydrogen requires an enormous power hungry refrigeration unit to transport. So neither is practical. Only if some new technology comes around that can store hydrogen as a liquid or solid would this be viable. And remember, hydrogen is not a source of energy, it is only a storage of energy, and not a very good one currently. Gasoline is a source of energy. What about developing a fuel cell that transforms gasoline into electricity and it's byproducts in a non-polluting manner? Imagine an EV with a 3-5 gallon tank and 1000 mile range?

Very good, I am capturing part of your video and solely for the purpose of proving a legacy engine can run and performs better running on hydrogen than on gasoline. If you are having problems with consistency in maintaining fuels it’s because the engine is carbonated. The floats are actuated by liquid. Once the fuel bowls are empty it’s difficult to meter the fuel. This is why the RPM’s increase once the gasoline is gone. It’s because you are using a regulator that you are able to precisely control the the fuel. If the engine were EFI you could control it with a conventional throttle and timing.
Amazing, thanks you so much for your hard work. ❤

combustion engines are able to run on any burnable gas , the power depends on the caloric capacity of said gas per volume
we have them running on the gas that comes off of rotting garbage and litterally shit from cows over here (these are stationairy generators and they run the exhaustgas through a boat header to heat up water for the central heating and hot water ) ll you need is to find the right af ratio for the perticulair type of gas and have enough pressure or flow to feed enough of it intoo the engine
we call this stuff biogas and we can cook on it too (just make sure the gas is lit at all times as it has a certain smell to it )
think an ls engine and gas injectors (propane injectors) run by a stand alone ecu would be way more efficient than the mecanical system youre running at the moment , you can tune the af ratio and the ignition timing all through the powerband and it will adjust itself using a lambda sensor
would take more time to tune it to be perfect but once done it will run forever (you do need harder valveseats as the gas cools the seats less and provide less lubrication and sealing ) if the gas has a higher pctane rating it helps to run a higher static compression as power goes down a little compared to running gasoline when running the low compression

Why is this "new" JPL (jet propulsion lab) had 3 test cars 2 chevys and a dodge in the mid 70s running on hydrogen. It was proven very viable BUT their main problem was acquiring the hydrogen. The engines ran just fine.

Hydrogen is actually superior to gasoline in terms of energy/power delivered.
And if you need someting more silent with better torque you can use a fuel cell + electric motor without the need of batteries.

just discovered your channel.... this is great! I've been touting that hydrogen ICEs are the way to go, it just makes huge sense, Even with its problems, but like many technologies in their early stages of development, it can be overcome. From all I've read about hydrogen, the main problems are the production of hydrogen in the first place, as it requires gas to be produced, but the newer 'Green Hydrogen' processes, shows that even though it's in its early stages of development, shows that hydrogen can be produced without using petroleum. Of course, like everything new, it has a much higher cost that gas... but again, all new technologies (not that hydrogen ICEs are new, but in its early development stage), it's just a matter of time, and when there's more demand, it becomes more profitable and the costs get lower. The other problem with hydrogen, though I don't see it as a problem, is the loss of power compared to gas. From what I remember, there's an approximate 15% loss of power, but that's not that big of a deal. Just look at how seemingly low powered engines in motorsports are tweaked and improved to produce absurd amounts of power, so that 15% loss can easily be overcome, and 15% is not that huge an amount. When the early days of pollution controls hit the auto industry back in the mid 70's, it reduced power levels a LOT more than 15%, and today's engines are a lot more efficient, cleaner, and produce many times more powerful engines with better pollution engineering. And, most importantly, all the businesses and manufacturers that are are built up from the ICE, can stay in business... Instead of being forced to go out of business.
I love your engine run stand, but I'm wondering what that big yellow tank is used for (?), as I can see your hydrogen is being fed from the tall bottle. Also, I cringe a bit at your proximity to your engine, you really need to put that engine in a proper separate test room, like any dyno room, separating yourself from any potential catastrophic engine failures. I see you're just in a garage, and obviously funds are limited, but that really, really needs to be addressed. All your work is going to mean nothing if you end up in the hospital unable to work on your project. But hey, congrats on your testing!! This is fantastic.
Though I'm not against battery operated vehicles, the idea that we should convert all of the almost 300 million vehicles to battery operated electric cars, just screams of trouble.... What with the ecological effect of creating that many strip mines and fracking wells (yes, fracking is a method of extracting lithium and we all know how damaging fracking is) will it take to produce that much lithium to power that many vehicles? And putting all of one's eggs in one basket, is just asking for trouble. Yes, once all the coal plants and eventually, all the natural gas plants are replaced by renewable power sources, electric will be even cleaner... but as we've seen, those power plants are at the mercy of extreme weather, and domestic terrorists... not that a hydrogen plant wouldn't be, but with electricity, the grid itself is just way too open to damage. Going all electric is a bad, bad idea, and is gonna bite us in the arse in short order.
Hey, big props on your project... gonna keep watching and seeing how it goes. Good luck!! Now I have to check out your other videos....

By 2028 The Japanese Toyoda and Honda will have the Definite answers for What Kind of Cars we drive.
I copy here the Fuel Mix to Generate Electric Powers in Texas (ERCOT) which is the Best Independent Grids in USA.
      Last Updated: Aug 31, 2023 19:29 CT
      CURRENT GENERATION
      Solar1,807 MW (2.5%)
      Wind6,224 MW (8.7%)
      Hydro228 MW (0.3%)
      Power Storage917 MW (1.3%)
      Other105 MW (0.1%)

      Natural Gas 46,786 MW (65.5%) ‼
Coal and Lignite 10,419 MW( 14.6%)‼
      Nuclear4,946 MW (6.9%) ‼
In half an Hour TX local time where Solar Energy would be Zero and more People Turn on their TV and Plug-in their Teslas.
The Percentages of Natural Gas would be 74% and Coals would be 14.5%
We/I have been monitor daily in August and The Grids are Dirty more than a Simple Small ICE Car -- the averaged ICE car has Engines of 120 KWatt/hr while as most Teslas are like 400 KWatt/hr.
Based on ERCOT and Many Agencies: The Efficiency of
Solar is 25% more or less
      Wind 20%
Coals: with a typical U.S. coal plant operating at 32% to 33% efficiency.
      Natural Gas: 50-57%
Then when Electric Powers Charging Batteries and Run Electric Motors is around 80% in perfect Weather, when Sub-Zero Temp Winter Coldness Efficiency is 50%.
My Math shown the BEV are more Polluting or Higher C02 Emissions? Perhaps DOE and EPA have been using a different Charge/Standard to rate those Batteries EV!
That not including all the Mining to Get Metals to Make Batteries; and unless the New Solid States 🔋 🔋 Claimed by Toyoda and Tesla; Most BEV are 1200 lbs more Heavy than averaged ICE; The Tires and Road Surfaces worn-out. And that I have not accounted where would be the Energy to generate enough Electricity for USA even with 50% were BEV Electrified Vehicles??‼‼
      Cheers,

While i'm not a fan of hydrogen, (high pressure tanks and explosive) I have to admit there is not much more danger than a lithium fire. the point is, everyone is pushing the E solution, I see a combination using the conventional engines as well as hydrogen and E solutions. Look at our current power solutions, we have coal, gas and Nuclear to maintain our power needs, i see the same solutions for everything, no one solution will solve everything, It has to be a team approach
