When using MKB I find that ESP and VJoy are inverse settings - e.g. Low VJoy and you will benefit from higer ESP. While if Vjoy is high you probably will like low ESP better. High Vjoy and high ESP can make you super precise, but at the cost of long aim times.
I have the vjoy settings as the video shows but on mkb I feel like my aiming movement is a little slow. What would I change to increase the speed of my mouse ?
Nice guide! As a south paw who uses the mouse with the left hand I typically change almost all key bindings as the most important keys for me are on the right side of the keyboard. In the latest patch ledge climbing actually requires a dedicated key bind which was unbound by default. I thought ledge climbing was broken everywhere until I found that key binding which I set to the same as the Jump key.
Thank you for actually showing what some of these settings do. I've watched a few other 3.23 beginner's guides and every one of them tells you to change menu settings without showing what game behavior was changed.
"The Keys to Victory" is a great video! Watched it twice. I need to learn more about VJoy settings for sure now. Thanks for all your work on this. Much appreciated.
This is incredible and one of the most important videos any Star Citizen player or potential Star Citizen player can spend their time watching. Super simple things to do to increase quality of life and if you disagree with an option, you can do you to your hearts content. Especially with the key binds and for those crazy people the camera shake and bloom. Definitely going on the save list to review later when PTU finishes loading on my slow sub 10mb/s connection.
Excellent job sir! Much needed. I will be using a lot of the settings you pointed out... especially the magnification target one. One note: I also set my power triangle to #1-4... however, I use "Increase (Tap) / Set to Max"... that way I can tap to get them between min an max setting if I want, or hold a key for one second and it snaps to max setting. To each their one tho. Have fun, see you in the verse!
Glad it was helpful! And that's an excellent suggestion actually. I also never liked how the triangle is just as simple as "on/off" and everything between 0 and 100 is kinda pointless. Power triangle vid coming anyway
Appreciate the video and I *really* appreciate that you took the time to demonstrate what many of those setting changes do. Also, 9:59 - gosh darn it, I have been doing that by accident for years and always assumed it was some sort of bug!
I was looking for something the other day and found your channel. I'm now binge watching random videos haha. Good stuff all around. Thank you for the help
Nice one. Just got done remaking my settings for 3.23, and I definitely picked up some good additional tweaks here. Using relative mode as a substitute for locking pitch/yaw is an awesome shout. I've been using the lock as a basic reset function for my mouse. I never would have thought relative basically gives ya two features for the price of one. Sidenote: Instead of using toggles on the G-Safe and Gunnery Magnification, I set em up up with the off and on keybinds respectively since if you want those set a particular way, you probably want them set that way all the time.
You could bind the ship power distribution using the same 1-4 keys but have them double function. Dont worry about assigning the same key twice. But you can increase power to the given system and then assign the “set to max” if held down to the same key. So short press of the system key will give it one incremental increase in power, and if you hold it for a second, it goes to max. Just something if you want more granular control over your power. Thanks for taking the time to share all your controls with us.
the flight speed limiter thing i like to keep on. i do a lot of mining and salvaging and to be able to move slow around the rock or shit is nice i tryed your way for a few weeks and i was messing up hitting or bumping the rocks and ships but all in all good video i use your settings its only ones i trust to use thank you
I will make a series of mini-videos about it and other features. But in general, de couple allows you to maintain momentum and coupled slows you down and brings you to a stop. So if you press forward with couple on, and release forward, you will stop. If you do the same de coupled you will keep drifting
Great vid! Trying out the game on the Free Fly period. I like a lot of your keybinds. FYI: the keybinds for "Enter Remote Turret" and "Exit Remote Turret" has moved under "Vehicles - Seats and Operator Modes". No longer under "Vehicles - Targeting".
Thanks for the info! I am doing some short guides coming up, some of which helps out a lot so keep in touch. I found a great way to remove all the annoying stuff that is on but should be off. All in one key press. I am learning just like you are brother.
Dude the other day I was searching for an updated version of the last keybind video.. Man I got so frustrated. I was just resetting my binds using the old video then this gem popped up. Thank you!!!
I know some people like to change it so their pips are grouped into one pip even with different weapons in their loadout. I feel like I need more keybinds. Can be hard to remember what I set to which function keys. Didn't know about the keybind to change pip size, seems quite useful. Great content as always.

The insert button is above “del” In vehicle weapons: Pip precision lines on Pip fading off Gunnery ui magnification on In Flight Movement: G-safe off All of them on one button works amazingly well. I push that button on my joystick every time I get into my ship. I also have decoupled on a toggle on another button.

2:30 If you are using sticks, set this to a very high range and set vjoy as 'always visible.' Gimbals slave to vjoy by default, so having a wider range gives you more control over gimbals, which is usually not worth it with a mouse, but has no effect on flight with sticks.
@10:00 I've told so many people they had accidentally hit that right shift and all I get back is "no I did not press the right shift" and they never tested it... then when they finally sway and press the damn right shift... oh no problem solved! I actually use the right shift for capitalization quite a bit, I'm pretty sure that is how it unintentionally happens...

big issue with the game. very niche binds that are super useful under certain situations.

i do have one recommendation for the power triangle binds. i use the same keys as you but set the full power options to a double tap or hold button down, and increase by increment to single tap. this gives you more control over your power at the cost of 0.2 extra seconds double tapping/holding the key to set something to full power.
when using laser weapons i will often have my power 50/50 on shields and weapons, or 35/65 leaning toward weapons, and if im put on the defensive i will throw all power to shields until they recharge or to tank damage hoping to get the kill with my remaining shots. not sure how this all will work with MM, about to check out the new update in a few minutes here.
