i only drink water lol
Some sweeteners in diet soda even cause insulin spikes in the blood which worsens insulin sensitivity over time and can eventually raise blood sugar levels.
2:01 "eating a bag of chips takes what, 10 minutes?"
You underestimate my power
Was eating chips while watching this, it took me 4mins while focused on the video
1 minute, take it or leave it
47sec speedrun
I am amused by the people who can finish a bag of chips in less than 10 minutes
One crushed bag of lays is about 2 big mouth fulls. I know this from experience.
people saying "Or just drink water???" are somehow failing to hear the multiple times he states it's to drink diet or whatever when you're CRAVING, and not constantly instead of other things
Well, water works in the same manner (to make you feel fuller so you crave impulse snacking less), but better because it's healthier than Diet Soda. Remember that everything your body takes in is treated as "foreign substance", and your body is most familiar with water and how to process it VS Diet Soda which still has to filter through the liver & kidneys. Oh by the way, do research on the rise of Chronic Kidney Disease, might "woke" you in terms of how much protein you should actually eat.
A regular soda possibly has real sugar in it. A diet soda tastes sweet and has no sugar in it. That's how you know it doesn't belong in your body.
Calling the bag of chips "Airs" is actually hilarious 😅😅😅
What's airs
This tip is actually something that helped me a LOT when I started cutting. It was a gamechanger for my diet stress, I'm not even a big sweets person, but sometimes the cravings were INSANE and the diet soda helped me a lot
Consider taking a look at the ingredient list & never putting that shit in your body ever again.
Check out Zevia & Rad Soda.
as a welder, (hardly a demanding job on the pipelines) simply cutting soda dramatically shredded the pounds. youd be surprised on how crazy it is
Please do a" Full Arm day " simplified !
Cola's sale after this📈
Not in a strange parasocial way but I love you man, you've changed my life
Usually, I don't comment on UA-cam, but I really want to say, that I apreciate your videos. Absolutely love watching them, short yet full of useful info
I used to think this way too, but the reality is that it curbs your craving for maybe an hour and then you’re even more ravenous than before. Your body isn’t stupid, once it knows you consumed zero calories, it’s not like it stops caring that you’re hungry.
Bother you helped me a lot in my training and diet. You are the only influencer that makes content to be as understandable as possible Thankyoy!❤❤❤
Thanks for the video as always!
Could you please do a video on pre workout warmup/stretching?
Had to take a 2 week break due to knee pain and wrist pain when there was no real shock given, so I figured it might be my lazy stretching…
Thanks!!
Hey winny, youre the reason i started working out, youre very simple guy, tqvm ❤️
I always love this videos
Awesome gonna try this
I love the style of these videos
thanks for this video!!!! this is veary helpfulll!
Thank you trainer Winny
Bro, God bless you, and i mean it with all the heart
Please make a nutrition guide, when to eat carbs, fats and protein - what before workout what after 🙏 I will be forever gratefull and will start bulking after summer 🙏
There is one negative to soda that you didn't touch on here -- diet soda, as well as other sodas, are highly acidic and can do major dental damage unless you are vigilant about brushing your teeth. A good backup to this, if you are, say, having a diet soda at work, is to have a glass of water afterwards to rinse the acids off your teeth. This also may help counteract the diuretic effects of caffeine in the soda.
Otherwise, another banger video.
....or just use a straw
@@victorkreig6089 Who uses a straw? So stupid.
You are forgetting that there are healthy foods that are acidic as well, grapes, apples, blueberries that are acidic as well
Thanks bro, you're making our lives a lot easier. I love you bra
Hey winny how about some videos on improving your digestion or low energy levels while bulking i eat on a 500 calorie surplus and gaining 0.5kg every week. I bought your bulking plan which was quite helpful definitely recommend
Thank you very much for these advices!
I definitely will drink more coffee or tea before midday
Yo bro I absolutely love your videos and content im new to the gym and everything you've supplied has helped me tremendously. The only thing im not clear about is protein powder because im trying to cut and 180 calories for one drink seems like a lot please make a video about protein powder all love bro your amazing keep up the absolutely amazing videos ill be here for them!
cant believe im this early to another peak video of winny
drink water guys 😔
STAY FUCKING HYDRATED!!!!!111 🎉
no
If you can’t raw dawg water, flavored sparkling water is just better tasting than most soda anyways
@@ronaldbearer4747
This is what I do when its availabe, yeah. I don't care about the sweetness, I just want the carbonation and flavour
True but i think his point was not replacing water for diet soda but replace sweets and snacks with to soothe your cravings 😅
BANGERR I LOVE DIET SODA!! When I first started my fitness journey and lifting a few years ago, I gave diet soda a serious try (In the past I didnt like it/didnt see the point) and it was seriously a game changer. I only drank water and diet soda like the last few months of me being in college it felt like 😂 can't go wrong with no sugar and 0 calories, and now I'm the biggest diet defender can't believe I slept on it so long
Hi, can you do a video about the elbow pain when lifting?
Great video! What's your opinion on the 16/8 intermittent fasting diet?
I like that - take an action and record the result of it
hey winny, genuine request here, can you make a video about how to break out of plateaus in any given muscle group? 🙏🥺
6:19 I thought he said “breeding” outside 😂
Hi winny, do you think I can build muscle with this workout? I wanna combine strength and skill training in calisthenics, so I have around 6-7 sets per muscle per week, but that muscle is activated in skills (for example triceps, shoulders, chest - planche 10 sets weekly) and also it is supporting muscle in another sets for example pseudo push ups can also train triceps a bit, so triceps get weekly volume of 6 the hardest sets, 10 medium and 4 easy sets, also what static holds like planche train? Is it only tendons and the overall hold length? Or it also builds muscle and strength?
Very lean but stll watching. May the algorithm bess you.
Been drinking stevia coke every now and then, very useful!
i've read stuff about the effects of sweeteners that made them seem a lot less benign, so I just drink a black coffee instead. Ultra Processed People by Chris van Tulleken was the book I read
Yeah, artificial sweeteners are dangerous. Acesulfame-K for example is straight up considered a carcinogen, but you can find it in many drinks.
@@majonezreborn8332 It's not straight up considered carcinogenic, it's in group 2B which is the "not classifiable as to their carcinogenicity to humans", which basically means there are no evidence of it being carcinogenic
I was more surprised to see him recommend diet soda to curb cravings - I actually heard the opposite, meaning that the artificial sweeteners can cause cravings. That said, they don't seem to have either of these effects on me. I can drink as much diet soda as I want, if I have a craving, it won't go away from it at all.
@@Crihs95Right... According to who? More often than not, those "studies" were sponsored by the same companies who make those things. Red meat more carcinogenic than aspartame? Don't you see the agenda there?
@@Kannon_BR the point is there are no studies that say it causes cancer. sponsored or not. especially in normal doses. you can't claim things out of nothing
winny make a chest press strength video ples
this helps allat thank you
Please make a push pull legs arms split and explain how it would fit into a split pls
I'm in favor 15 or less cal electrolyte powders or Liquid IV. I'm skeptic of soda only from aspartame, but may consider. I'm interested thoughts of smartwatches for fitness, and updated dumbbells only. Been doing dumbbells only for months experimenting up to 2 exercises per muscle group in respect my heart rate what gets me going stronger.
Can you make a video on how to deal whit injuries?
Just remember that sugar free soda can be addictive, and anything in too large of a quantity is not healthy.
Addictive. The word you’re looking for is addictive. “Addicting” isn’t a real word.
Thanks for the reminder brother! Happy gains
Brother what? Addicting is most definitely a word lol
Disagree, rather be 10% bf lean and drink a couple monsters and Pepsi's a day than being 30% and only drink water
@@Brooksey1992 thx mate, english is not my first language so I'll correct it.
Newbie to the Gym here! I recently discovered your channel and hoping to take full advantage of your beginner guide, but I'm having a really tough time with flexibility in my shoulders. They are so inflexible that even doing even just the bar for squats is quite painful. Do you have some progressive stretch techniques you would recommend, and would you suggest using machine assistance or swapping over to a front squat?
if you don't feel good doing an exercice switch to another. there are no magical exercices you MUST do. squats don't feel good, try hack squats, or front squats if you're comfortable doing them
sugar free gum helps me get over wanting 'something sweat' after a meal as well 😄
I feel called out hahaha
For many people, myself included, drinking diet soda triggered my binges because once I had something sweet I always wanted more. I’ve successfully cut out all diet sodas from my life for that reason. I want to point out that this advice will certainly work for some people but shouldn’t have been presented as a blanket solution. You mention drinking a diet soda instead of 1,000 calories of chips but many people would not have craved those chips until they had the diet soda.
This is true because the sweetness in diet soda confuses your brain and makes it assume alot of calories are on the way. When they never arrive your brain ramps up the cravings for high calories
@@bruce8448 I've heard this before as well, so I was surprised he suggested soda to curb cravings. Personally, for me artificially sweetened drinks have never had an effect in either direction. They don't make me crave sweets more, but if I am craving them, drinking a diet soda will do absolutely nothing about that craving either. Maybe this is a case of everyone reacting a little differently, no idea.
man please do video about mentzer method
Solves craves. I see ya. I've been on carbonated flavored water. Works pretty well for me.
Man ,
This guy's a GOOODDDDD
Sweeteners are actually worse than sugar even though sugar is one of the biggest killers in the world
For you general heath
Thanks for the info
Appreciate it
@@SmokinItYe but in diffferent quantity. The quantity noone will reach unless hes completely unhinged
or replace soda with sparkling water, familiar feeling
I drink lots of diet cola I must admit, but this now explains a lot lol
Watched this vid randomly on the way to satisfy a craving. I kid u not this worked haha
Diet Soda really help especially in hot regions, I know i can drink water but it not refreshing enough. I really need that "ZAAA" feeling
For the bicep video you mentioned main, bb and peak. Am I supposed to do 3 sets of main, bb and peak? Or am I supposed to do 1 set of main, 1 set of bb and 1 set of peak? I’m a beginner and would like to learn more thanks!
I usually do 3 sets of main and alternating between with bb/peak for 3 sets after that. Although sometimes I can't push the last set of secondary exercise due fatigue. Works well for me.
@@houjouin8819 thanks
you just posted after I went foi diet soda for the first time
Please do a video about vitamins and stuff like this for benefits in the gym
Good idea
Not to detract from winny, but talon fitness has great breakdowns on foods.
@@uberwarlocker Facts i was watching that channek and its goat
Hello, I work two days from morning to evening and I have two days off, I can only go to the gym on my days off, can you help me with a schedule to stick to? I beg you, Im 26, 180cm and 70ish kg, my goal is to be more defined, less bulky, all i do is push and pull in those 2 days whenn i can go to gym, please help me, Also do you speak romanian?
Good video. I would like to add that caffeine has a diuretic effect on the body, meaning increased urine production. Thus water retention in your body will decrease over time. This is also great for weight loss if someone had a diet consisting of a lot of sugar and switches to something more healthy.
I have been doing this and am down 15 pounds. Renaissance periodization has a great video on the benefits and side effects.
Side note there are almost no side effects
i loooooove aspartame and artificial sweeteners
the only problem is that these sodas are very acidic which is bad for our teeth and the entire digestive system so only have those when you are in groups and are facing peer pressure or once in a while like seriously.
Thank you. I was about to issue the same warning and can actually give a personal testament. Many years ago, when I was much younger, I really prioritized weight loss, and I decided to use a diet soda strategy to replace snacks and other sugary drinks. It did help quite a bit in terms of weight loss, but I made the mistake of taking it too far and not monitoring my dental health. When I went to the dentist for an annual exam & cleaning the dentist observed that my teeth had undergone enough wear in less than 1 year than he would normally see in several years. I was going through about 2-3 twelve packs of diet soda per week - too much for me! Replacing a diet soda for A daily snack or AN occasional treat would have been sound.
I would say drinking diet sodas can be a legitimate part of a plan to reaching fitness goals, but you should follow a well thought out approach and regularly monitor your overall health. I think that is a reasonable path and if something that is part of your plan is not working as intended or brings unwanted effects then you can always make adjustments.
here's a tip. After drinking one, wash your mouth with water.....
@@MROJPC I mean, Thats on you for drinking diet soda with Every meal and snack. 3-5 cans of Anything a day is Crazy bro.
You can drink it with a straw and like others said rinse your mouth and brush your teeth a bit later.
@@TheMajesticGG that's a great idea i'm gonna head over to amazon right now.
My heaviest was 406 lbs. Currently at 235. Goal is 185. I drink diet soda OR zero calorie energy drinks. You HAVE to replace things you love with lower calorie options.
Having alternatives helps
I went from energy drinks to soda to diet soda to sparkling water to water
Its about progression and doing what you can
While I think this approach makes sense I personally think it's better to try and avoid the diet soda. These cravings for sweet things can be overcome so you don't experience them anymore and in doing so it will become easier to keep the weight off once you've lost as much as you want to because you will no longer have the desire to eat as poorly as before.
doesn't diet soda spike insulin and insulin uses sugar (or sweetner) for energy rather than fat?
Air's best chips ✅🤣
So I have question because everyone keeps shoving this in my face. Does sugar free soda still give you bloated stomach? I’m in the middle of trying to decide if I have some fat or just bloated and so everyone is saying to stay away from soda period.
Hey, where is the discord ?
What about Diet Water?
Dark mode pls😅 Nice video!
can we get a diet soda tierlist
Monster zero ultra and coke zero are atleast high A tier.
Diet Dr. Pepper has been great in my diet so far. I used to drink alot of sweet tea and pepsi, but drinking nothing but water makes me crave anything else like mad. So far having something sweet that won't make me lose progress has helped me I would say. I'm down about 50 pounds so far and still feeling good for more progress
watching this video while eating chips AND a diet soda
Thank you for this info. I'm going to dump my cola and switch to sugar free.
Good man 🏋️♀️✨👍
real!
I have to be done with chips 😢 if a counter act to eating them is an approximation or 4 hrs walk 😮
Physique reveal!!!
You can make your own sodas at home really easy 100% worth it
I am a beginner. Istarted working on my body, im not going to the gym yet but i am doing some exercise at home. My usuall routin consists of first 25 pushups, then 12 bicep-curl reps for each arm(I use a backpack filled with books), then 15 decline pushups , then 12 bicep-curls, then 15 decline pushups, then another 12 bicep-curls, then 25 normal pushups again then about 25 bicep curls with one of those bigger dumbells and then 20 regular pushups . After that I do 25 squats aswell as some reps with reverse bicep-curls. I do this like 6 times a week with Sunday being the rest day. Is that enough rest, or am I doing something wrong? (I weigh like 52 kilos, dont know if thats relevant)
Edit: I'll take anyones advice
Probably have more rest days between workout days. It takes around 2 days for your your body to repair the muscles after working out.
@@kenntoot684 thanks :)
I actually swapping out all soda for carbonated water or sparkling water.
im planning on making kefir sofas. think that would be even better?
Hello i lost 10 pounds doing this before platauing again. Its great. And in truth the platau was from drinking non sugar free redbull. Im losing weight again now that i shifted to zero sugar
How about the effect of diet soda on your teeth health?
I make a butt load of sugar free jelly which has next to no calories. It fills me up and I'm actually eating something sweet too so it gives me that "treat" feeling.
No hard shit later?
@@MatiHardcore I've never had any issues personally.
This is 100% true. Once I started having Diet Soda occasionally, it helped me push past the 240lb plateau and now I'm down to 175lb at 6ft. Dr. Pepper Zero, Sprite Zero, Coke Zero were probably my favorites. They really helped curb my cravings for sweet drinks or snacks.
i mean look at his body...he can't be lying
I see you're a hsp. You seem creative in your videos.
I eat crisps most days. But I eat a normal sized 40g bag that's less than 250 calories and fits into my overall dietary plan. I don't eat those 200+g bags.
I also drink diet soda.
Sparkling Ice Caffeine+ drinks are decent.
I drink one or 2 a week, trying to stop my Coka Cola addiction
i heard the sugar replacement in diet soda increases appetite
Quitting ANY caffeinated drink is the best decision i ever made.
How to train lower back the best way simplified? :(
If you want to take it a step further, naturally flavored seltzer water is something you can consume as much as you want without worrying about its side effects (and I think it tastes better than diet soda)
It helped me get un-addicted to soda multiple times and right now I drink 1-2 cans a day. Its great for hydration too if drinking water is too boring for you (it kind of is for me)
The try and see method lead me to become immune to uranium. It works!
Zero sugar helped fill me up on my recent cut.
I used to like that zero sugar coke coffee but they discontinued it
On the topic of organ health, some medicines can harm your liver
But this can only happen if u take more than the bottle says
I love you so damn much...one day I'll make more money and pay you back... Thanks for all your motivation, Trainer Winny
