      Well, water works in the same manner (to make you feel fuller so you crave impulse snacking less), but better because it's healthier than Diet Soda. Remember that everything your body takes in is treated as "foreign substance", and your body is most familiar with water and how to process it VS Diet Soda which still has to filter through the liver & kidneys. Oh by the way, do research on the rise of Chronic Kidney Disease, might "woke" you in terms of how much protein you should actually eat.

      A regular soda possibly has real sugar in it. A diet soda tastes sweet and has no sugar in it. That's how you know it doesn't belong in your body.

    There is one negative to soda that you didn't touch on here -- diet soda, as well as other sodas, are highly acidic and can do major dental damage unless you are vigilant about brushing your teeth. A good backup to this, if you are, say, having a diet soda at work, is to have a glass of water afterwards to rinse the acids off your teeth. This also may help counteract the diuretic effects of caffeine in the soda.
    Otherwise, another banger video.

    Hi winny, do you think I can build muscle with this workout? I wanna combine strength and skill training in calisthenics, so I have around 6-7 sets per muscle per week, but that muscle is activated in skills (for example triceps, shoulders, chest - planche 10 sets weekly) and also it is supporting muscle in another sets for example pseudo push ups can also train triceps a bit, so triceps get weekly volume of 6 the hardest sets, 10 medium and 4 easy sets, also what static holds like planche train? Is it only tendons and the overall hold length? Or it also builds muscle and strength?

    For many people, myself included, drinking diet soda triggered my binges because once I had something sweet I always wanted more. I’ve successfully cut out all diet sodas from my life for that reason. I want to point out that this advice will certainly work for some people but shouldn’t have been presented as a blanket solution. You mention drinking a diet soda instead of 1,000 calories of chips but many people would not have craved those chips until they had the diet soda.

    • @bruce8448
      @bruce8448 23 дні тому +1

      Thank you. I was about to issue the same warning and can actually give a personal testament. Many years ago, when I was much younger, I really prioritized weight loss, and I decided to use a diet soda strategy to replace snacks and other sugary drinks. It did help quite a bit in terms of weight loss, but I made the mistake of taking it too far and not monitoring my dental health. When I went to the dentist for an annual exam & cleaning the dentist observed that my teeth had undergone enough wear in less than 1 year than he would normally see in several years. I was going through about 2-3 twelve packs of diet soda per week - too much for me! Replacing a diet soda for A daily snack or AN occasional treat would have been sound.
      I would say drinking diet sodas can be a legitimate part of a plan to reaching fitness goals, but you should follow a well thought out approach and regularly monitor your overall health. I think that is a reasonable path and if something that is part of your plan is not working as intended or brings unwanted effects then you can always make adjustments.

    While I think this approach makes sense I personally think it's better to try and avoid the diet soda. These cravings for sweet things can be overcome so you don't experience them anymore and in doing so it will become easier to keep the weight off once you've lost as much as you want to because you will no longer have the desire to eat as poorly as before.

    doesn't diet soda spike insulin and insulin uses sugar (or sweetner) for energy rather than fat?

    So I have question because everyone keeps shoving this in my face. Does sugar free soda still give you bloated stomach? I’m in the middle of trying to decide if I have some fat or just bloated and so everyone is saying to stay away from soda period.

    Diet Dr. Pepper has been great in my diet so far. I used to drink alot of sweet tea and pepsi, but drinking nothing but water makes me crave anything else like mad. So far having something sweet that won't make me lose progress has helped me I would say. I'm down about 50 pounds so far and still feeling good for more progress

    I am a beginner. Istarted working on my body, im not going to the gym yet but i am doing some exercise at home. My usuall routin consists of first 25 pushups,then 12 bicep-curl reps for each arm(I use a backpack filled with books), then 15 decline pushups , then 12 bicep-curls, then 15 decline pushups, then another 12 bicep-curls, then 25 normal pushups again then about 25 bicep curls with one of those bigger dumbells and then 20 regular pushups . After that I do 25 squats aswell as some reps with reverse bicep-curls. I do this like 6 times a week with Sunday being the rest day. Is that enough rest, or am I doing something wrong? (I weigh like 52 kilos, dont know if thats relevant)
    Edit: I'll take anyones advice

    This is 100% true. Once I started having Diet Soda occasionally, it helped me push past the 240lb plateau and now I'm down to 175lb at 6ft. Dr. Pepper Zero, Sprite Zero, Coke Zero were probably my favorites. They really helped curb my cravings for sweet drinks or snacks.

    If you want to take it a step further, naturally flavored seltzer water is something you can consume as much as you want without worrying about its side effects (and I think it tastes better than diet soda)
    It helped me get un-addicted to soda multiple times and right now I drink 1-2 cans a day. Its great for hydration too if drinking water is too boring for you (it kind of is for me)
