    Studies show sucrolose dissolves your DNA. Fun little story here. I was an exterminator for 41 years. I had a commercial building that had a sweet ant problem. The ants would only go after the empty soda cans made with sugar or high fructose corn syrup. They refused to touch the empty diet soda cans with the artificial sweeteners. 🤔🤔

    When I have traveled to Africa and Iceland, their food (if it is sweetened at all) is sweetened with natural sweeteners. The ketchup tastes like tomatoes, the maple syrup like maple (and not so sweet).., I drank a Fanta Grape in Africa which was sweetened with fruit. Tried one when I got home and couldn’t drink it. The differences in the taste due to different ingredients was amazing. I couldn’t believe how much sweetener and artificial ingredients are in the foods available here. Lived and learning…,

    At this point, I don't trust *any* sweet drink.
    Pure fruit juices are relatively the best, but that means "drink sparingly and rarely," because they are objectively not much better than soda. Without fiber, fructose is just another sugar -- marginally preferable to sucrose.
    "Natural" sweeteners bring their own concerns, which differ on an individual basis; but the theme remains, that problems are inherent to any attempt to violate nutritional imperatives by seeking to make sweet what is not in itself sweet.
    Refined sugars -- sucrose, dextrose, glucose, or any other "-ose" -- especially as consumed without sufficient fiber, bring us an armada of metabolic disorders. In direct proportion to their GI (glycemic index), these refined simple carbohydrates cause insulin resistance, diabetes, and such exotic diseases as PCOS (which stands for "polycystic ovarian syndrome," not "personal computer operating system").
    Worst of all are the synthetic sweeteners -- such as sucralose, saccharine, and Aspartame -- which try to hoodwink our bodies into processing sweets without nutritional value or even calories. It is in the nature of such cheats to bring harm upon us by stealth, and the more we learn about them, the more deadly we find they are.
    Nature does provide us with sweet things that are good for us. Mostly, they are whole fruits whose fructose is made benign by ample fiber to lower their GI and nullify the danger of metabolic misfires.

      Agreed. I feel like diet and the quality of food is having a huge moment right now. I 100% agree with eating healthy and nutritious foods and I eat very clean myself-hardly any processed foods. BUT it’s all I see and hear about. It’s almost like an obsession for people and almost like a hobby. I think it would get exhausting contastantly worrying about every tiny thing.

      @@lcbrown2119 I agree. I am glad you eat clean. I am more of a moderation guy. I have 1500 calories a day and one cheat meal a week. But feel like you can't pay attention to every little thing. One minute something is bad for you, and the next, it is healthy, like chocolate now they say that is healthy. Some now say fruits are unhealthy, and for so long, those were healthy. I think water is the only thing people will always say is healthy

      I think he should cite his sources in any video. Just a random paragraph from an article doesn't give you any real information. He just be cheering picking the one paragraph that supports his view point. Context is important.

    • @doghat1619
      @doghat1619 Рік тому

      @@bluewrites2278 Even if he posted a whole study and sourced it, it wouldn't matter. It's incredibly easy to find one study that happens to align with your political views. Nutrition, as a field, is FULL of paid researchers working to create legitimate looking research papers to make their employers products seem better than they are, or to discredit their competitors' products.
      The problem with channels like this, is they're initially biased, they believe "natural means healthy" and so look for sources that claim artifical things are bad and natural things are good.

    • @bluewrites2278
      @bluewrites2278 Рік тому

      @doghat1619 While I don't necessarily disagree with you. I believe that since this person is the one making claims that the burden is on them to back it up otherwise it is just baseless.
      Citing sources allows the viewers to come weigh the information in and of itself as well as the origin of the information and decide for themselves. This individual is not doing this with the purpose of helping people but to sell a product, most likely a very expensive one.

    • @jessedudezx
      @jessedudezx Рік тому

      @bluewrites2278 I think in shortform videos like this, the best you can do is hope for a couples sentences from an abstract originating from a medium to high impact journal. I dont think we can expect more than that. He could make some supplementary longform videos discussing food science in depth (maybe he has? Haven't seen it).

    • @bluewrites2278
      @bluewrites2278 Рік тому

      @jessedudezx There is absolutely no reason that he can't cite or link his sources in the video description, even if it is short form content, as I don't think this particular individual makes long form content.
      Many of the paragraphs I've seen in his videos don't even have a website identifier, so there is no way to even partially corroborate what he is saying and showing, making me think even more that he is cherry picking information and either taking it out of context, twisting or omitting pertinent additional information to make it seem like the claim he is making is supported. This is a well-known tactic of people like this who are just trying to sell you something.
