Man you catch some top quality fish! well done.
Oh, I just subscribed to your channel.
Hey, I'm buying a kayak to fish out of and regarding a fish finder I am potentially looking at the Garmin Echomap 95sv with a GT56UHD transducer, my thoughts are to use it in the kayak, purchase a second transducer so I can switch the Garmin main unit out of the kayak and use in a small aluminium boat for times I'm in bigger waters and want to take the boat.
Do you think this is possible? Because I have seen the Garmin quick releases out of some backing piece and I don't know if I can buy a second backing piece and still have it work.

      Thanks for watching and subscribing!
The unit you can definitely change out between the kayak and the boat. I'm assuming you would have it hooked up to a battery for power. So you could make the unit portable. I would recommend getting a pelican case for it and maybe a seasucker mount to mount it (not sure what you had in mind for the kayak, but will definitely be easy to bring and mount anywhere) that way you can take it on and off. Regarding the transducer from my understanding you are buying one to leave on the boat and a different one for the kayak. If that's so, it'll work just make sure the kayak transducer is compatible with the unit.

@@Capitano_Davide yes you assume correct for the transducer, I'm going to buy a second GT56UHD leave one permanently on the Kayak and one permanently on the boat, so they're identical transducers.
Thans for the advice on components, I'll definitely take that on board!
