Great video and good topology. Personally not a fan of using polybuild tool, seems a bit of an old school approach. I find it faster and easier just extruding edges and using F2 addon, inset face for things like knuckles, bellybutton, knees and elbows. Looptools for speeding up things more. Bsurface is also really nice, making geometry by drawing annotations, in a way like a modern polybuild.
After using the shrik and the multires my hands create some weird things that i can't seem to fix for the life of me. Is there any solution other than movin the geometry?
This is a nice and useful guide on topology, thank you, but the way you were extruding each single vert one by one without just selecting some vertex and extrude was a bit painful
your tutorials are great and I like your content so much, but the fast forward specially in the hand made it unclear just after changing the route around the thumb. now I am stuck with my hand model :(
If let's say I imported a model from sketchfab or blenderkit or whereever , and if I use this method I can reduce the number of polygons significantly right in order to get smooth animation rigs later on (right now it's extremely laggy). I am still a beginner so I am asking this before watching the vid so I know I won't waste my time.
U make it look soooo easy :,) I am following your tutorial yet its super difficult to me, it is alwyas messy. Never looks good and I make way too many triangles, plus the amount of vertices doesnt match, oh well... Any tips on how i can solve this? I am probably hitting nirvana after finishing this retopology 😂 it been 2 days trying to finish and this is not the first time i am trying to make a model retopo- 😭😭
But you lost all detail and its very hard to put that high resolution model to game and blender will crash alot during animation 😂 that is why modelig is much better
But we didn't lose any details tho, once u brought back details with shrinkwrap and multires you can just bake it into a displacent and normal map and use it in video games while maintaining low poly model.
I used to dread retopology so much, but this tutorial made the whole process incredibly enjoyable! I love doing retopology now. Thank you so much!🧡

This is the best video on manual retopology.
Yeah❤
This is exactly what I need right now. Thanks a lot
You make it look so easy.
Cause it is :D just time consuming
great tutorial just what I needed
thanks very much for the video. It was very instructive
Do you have retopology videos for non symmetrical sculpts? especially if it has some armor, clothing?
it's not as easy as it seems, a lot of practice is necessary...
by the way, great and helpfull video !!
thanks so much brother
Thank you so much for the video. I needed this so much!! 10/10
can you make a tutorial on how to transfer details from the high to the low ? how to export it for games, like unreal engine ?

This made life so easy for me, thank you so much, But I have a question... Do we apply the subdivision modifier?
you can apply 1 subdivision but more than that is not good for animating
What a class !! Thank you, PixelicaCG !!

Update, i finished it and made some revisions. After the subdivision it looked better! Thanks for the tutorial, but i still not the best at it hahahah
How did you connect the two vertices? They don´t merge when I try to do the same.
Muito bom! 🇧🇷 ❤ Very good, Thanks!
Very nice!
Congratulations!
this video is so goood god bless you :)
maybe use bsurfaces and grid fill
Awsome
leets go
You make this look enjoyable, which is not.

@@PixelicaCG well if you have rtx 4090 64 gb ram then its gonna work
