If you're a breakfast fanatic or a snack junkie this recipe will be one to save! Its a few calories lower than your traditional store bought everything bagel but packs 24g of protein in each bagel. The lower calorie count is great if you're trying to diet down but its also very macro friendly.
These low calorie everything bagels are perfect to store in the fridge/freezer for a few days and easily toasted or heated in the microwave. With an easy breakfast or snack recipe like this you'll want to double or triple up on the recipe.

Everything Bagel Recipe l Low Calorie Everything Bagel 24g Protein Easy Breakfast or Snack Recipe
Everything Bagel Ingredients:
80g Self Rising flour * this is recommended over regular flour*
125g Fat Free Greek Yogurt
32g whey/casein blend
4g baking powder
15g egg whites
everything bagel seasoning
1. Place dry ingredients (self rising flour, greek yogurt, baking powder, protein) in a bowl and mix
2. kneed dough and work dough into bagel shapes
3. Place bagel dough into light/medium boiling water 60-75 sec. on each side.
4. Brush with egg white wash and top off with everything bagel seasoning
5. Place into oven 425F for 20-30 min. KEEP AN EYE ON THESE. My magic number is 28 minutes. this will vary based on your oven.
Let it cool and enjoy!

Fat 1.4g
Carbs 65g
Protein 48g

Macros are insane! Locally bagels here are all 350-400cals that’s why I don’t buy them, definitely gonna try this one out when I finally get some more nonfat greek yogurt.

Definitely gonna try this with some vanilla PEScience and sesame seeds and if it works out I'm going to have to double down and get some everything bagel seasoning and all purpose quest protein powder to get the vanilla taste out of there. I can't imagine it's all that subtle compared to a traditional bagel dough flavor.

That's a lot of work just for 2 bagels. But then you put 2 bagels in the oven and 4 came out? Magic oven! Very impressive crust though. And the use of the chopsticks is a nice touch.

Holy moly, finally got around to making this and I can't believe it actually works! Used the unflavored Quest and AP flour + extra 2.5g baking powder and the texture came out perfect. Only downside was the dough could really benefit from some seasoning. Also, only took 21 minutes on bake-mode in my air fryer. Some suggestions for possible improvements that I've seen in normal bagel recipes that I'm gonna try next time: add 2.5g vital wheat gluten or use bread flour instead of AP flour, add 3g salt to the dough, add 3g brown sugar to the dough. I bet that would result in the perfect bagel.

Great recipe! It’s actually really similiar to Mason Woodruffs recipe except with his he does a baking soda bath and says to boil the bagels for 30 seconds none the less awesome recipe!

For anyone not wanting to have to go out and get self rising flour just got this, 77.5g AP flour, 2.5g baking powder, and a pinch of salt will be a dead on substitution.

I think 3/4 days is good. Anything over it might get a bit dry or ud have to for sure microwave/toast
@@JasonAlexanderKim wanted to just say thank you man. Bagels have been my weakness my entire life. I have made this recipe now 5 times for a meal prep. I enjoy them best with unflavored whey and unflavored casein. Literally tastes like a fresh bagel no differences at all.
Incase anyone was wondering I meal prepped a bunch of these. They last about a week in the freezer then when you’re ready to enjoy just take it out and toast it to perfection.

The recipe in the description has way too much baking powder... Made the bagels have a horrid after taste. I made them again with self rising flour and no baking powder and they turned out great!
Man… does the vanilla come through strong? This looks amazing and I always enjoy my savory dishes to have a hint of sweet (Anabolic General Tso chicken recipe when?) but I can’t help but think most vanilla protein blends like PE will turn this into a weird desert
if you've got unflavored or a less sweetened whey/casein blend (most naturally flavored protein powders) you should be good to go. I actually think using PE science might work just be sure to use a vanilla flavor.
How about adding salt to balance the sweetness of the flavoured protein powder?

If you only have all purpose flour, you just have to add baking powder or baking soda to it. Can't recall if it's one of the other or both. Quick Google should do the trick tho.

Cool concept, however not sure why you felt the need to add protein powder into the bagel dough, surely you could have just made the contents of the bagel the source of protein, vanilla flavour as well :/
All about the protein here bro.
There are PLENTY of recipes here on UA-cam that don't have the protein added. When you come to an anabolic channel, expect anabolic recipes.
Some folks like the added protein without having to add extra ingredients etc. so its just another option for folks. I particularly am lazy most of the time so grabbing one of these when i meal prep and slapping on some cream cheese or light butter does the trick. There are def days making a sammy with a regular bagel works too!
