Just did ios 14 update and now carplay does not work at all on the car. Contacted apple went through all possible trouble shoots and even reset the cars stereo system as instructed in the manual and now the caplay feature does not even show up on the car's screen at all.
you need an original usb cable that came from the phone or buy an original usb that apple brand. or they said buy a MFI usb cable for i phone. as the head unit do not recognise cheap aftermarket usb cable. when you have an original cable just plug it in and the carplay i con will appear on the screen. but this headunit seems like abit laggy as i have mine just been replace last week. and still it takes time to recognise my phone.
@@vhin_pj all of that has been done and the issue isn't the cord, the programming of the radio itself did not originate come with carplay on the hard drive. The carplay feature was added/installed to the radio via the manufacturer after it was already built and when the radio was master reset it deleted the feature from the vehicle altogether. After ios update 13 everything got disrupted and then Mitsubishi tried doing a manual update but, the carplay software on the radio itself was no longer present and that's why they're ordering me a radio.

Love it Paul, infotainment is my linchpin when buying a car nowadays. I say bring back the HDMI! Haha. That may be against the popular opinion but I have my reasons
Do you know guys why my radio car does not have the car play option? Is there a way to upgrade the system? I have a Mitsubishi Montero Sport 2020 GL+. Thanks
The touchscreen fails after a few years. You'll need to either replace the screen yourself for less than $100, or through Mitsubishi for over $2000 USD.
Wouldn’t count on Mitsubishi updating their infotainment system. I have a 2010 Lancer Aspire, never had a single available update in just over 10 years. Sounds like the same on every forum I have searched across a lot of different models over the years. Disappointing as it has a smashing stereo system 🥺
I for one love it a lot. I hook up my Raspberry Pi on my Honda Civic thru HDMI port, do the 3 button "debug mode" hack to disable "driving safety video off while driving" option, and voila, I have a computer on my car screen that I can use to do whatever I want! Since it's a computer, sky's the limit as to what you wanna do. For me, I use 2/3 of the screen to watch something (Bloomberg or ABC News, or UA-cam), the remaining 1/3 which is a narrow space to mirror my phone that shows Waze GPS. It's neat!
@@henryshadowjet im trying to turn off the “video off while driving” option but i cant seem to find it on the pajero sport do you know anything about it?
@@JAViewer hey bud, for my 2014 Civic it is Power+Home+Eject button, hold them 3 until the screen switches to 2 options. On that screen, press n hold Menu button until you have more options. The one with DD-VSP is the third from the top (from memory), I recall it's called "Vehicle Model Information", once you click that menu, you can just turn off the DD-VSP, and just need to go out of the menu back to the main screen. You might need to power off and power on again to get the workaround to be effective. Good luck
Sexy Mumma 🤣🤣🤣 On a side note, what a horrible bloody system this is. I never wanted a shitty Mitsubishi in the first place and if I actually ended up with one, this entertainment system would drive me insane!
That 9A 9B etc sorting in DAB is actually the stations being sorted by DAB frequency. 9A is 202.928Mhz 9B is 204.64Mhz and so on
How do I reset my radio. The touchscreen won't work properly for me to go into the display setting and relearn. O lay the buttons on the outside work

Mitsubishi Motors are a joke of a car company nowadays so its not the slightest bit surprising that even their new infotainment systems are poor.
