Thank you! Just got a new 2024 Outlander with the tech package. A lot easier to watch this video on how that screen works. And yes the Bose system is amazing. 😻 sounds like a nightclub. Was bummed to lose my 4k kicker system in the Subaru Crosstrek I traded in but that Bose system is way better.
Android Auto is wireless in my daughter's 2021 Kia K5 so the technology IS available. It would be awesome if Mitsubishi could upgrade current owners to wireless
@@CarsWithSteve The 2025 Outlander is Android wireless. I often wonder if they had the technology already just did not put it in to distinguish between the old and the new. If they put it all in then less people will pupgrade tot he new one.

You're welcome! Screens with navigation have different underlying tech so you can't just add the feature in, the whole screen needs to be replaced with one that has it

You're welcome! Odd.. in the last generation screen there was a setting for Keyless Operation that isn't in this newer screen.. You might need to have the dealer disable it in software

Thanks Joe! Are you going through the UA-cam app or pulling up UA-cam on a browser? I find that browser doesn't always like to play whereas the UA-cam music app shouldn't have any issues..

When you pair your phone to the car and sync contacts, are those contacts only visible on the console every time your phone is connected to it or even when it is not? Reason for asking - Say my contacts are synced to the car. And I let someone else use my car for a few days, will they be able to see my contacts or messages?
I don't think I've come across a way to show text or emails.. If you're connected to Android Auto or CarPlay you'd get notifications but it would just be on the infotainment system
The return button below the right (beaide the camera button). How does that work? I am expecting that it will return to home screen when I click say map or any other button but it is not retuening to home screen.
Make sure that your phone isn't on vibrate and that the volume on the phone isn't set to being low. Also check out Settings --> Volumes & Beeps and make sure that ringtone isn't turned down

Few things to try.. Delete the phone connection from the vehicle and vehicle connection from your phone's bluetooth, then reconnect over USB. If that doesn't work it might be your USB cable or the USB port. Some USB cables don't support data transfer and I find sometimes the USB-c port doesn't work for data transfer...
Why does the navigation sound change sometimes and then you cannot get normal audio back whilst driving! It’s sooo frustrating, does anyone have this problem?
The Outlander doesn't support wireless Android Auto right now so you need to connect via USB in order to go through A/A for Google Maps to work through the screen
All of the features are region specific to the end country where the vehicle was shipped... As far as I know there isn't a way to add in another country that isn't showing unfortunately
When you press the voice command prompt it should recognize most addresses after you're prompted. The command "123 Test St, in Toronto Ontario" should pull up the address. It will work the same with points of interest

@@Nicaxe01 Once everything is setup you'd plug a USB stick into your computer. It uploads the available update and then all you have to do is insert it into a USB slot in your car!

You'd only be able to see contact details for phones that are actively connected to the vehicle!

Microfiber cloth is the way to go. A bit of 70% rubbing alcohol if there are stubborn fingerprints or any gunk is safe to use as well

Most manufacturers have the option to add/remove rows but it doesn't seem like that's an option here

Have you tried switching to a different USB cable? Not all cables support data transfer! Also try getting a USB-A cable instead and plug in that way

Hmm that's odd..
You can try turning off the guidance voice or traffic announcements under your map settings.
Map Settings -- > Guidance Settings
Does the rear speaker are very weak ?
Rear is typically a subwoofer but the focus is usually on better speakers for the 1st and 2nd rows...

One of two places I believe.. under Navigation Settings --> Address Book or Delete Saved Items .. one of those should do it
