    Thank you for sharing! The liquid looks so pretty. I was wondering why tou uprooted the entire plant instead of justharvesting the leaves but I think you answered my question with your explanation that it grows or volunteers easily. Hope to try this soon.

      No problem, thank you for watching. They can grow up to forty inches, and are quite hardy, and definitely volunteers easily. Just enough comes back each year to make a batch or two of syrup. The green variety doesn’t seem to take as well to the soil here, as the red.

      Hi. If I follow the recipe, it will keep for a few weeks in the refrigerator. If you use less sugar, maybe a week to ten days. However, it is so delicious that it usually doesn't last that long. 🥲
