a lot of Poles want those crosses to be removed. No, religion is not a crucial part of our culture. Poland is a secular country. To be honest, personally I don't give a damn if the crosses are there or no. The government is just trying to create drama so that the public's attention shifts from important issues to something goofy, like this!

The majority of Poles are not religious and they only figure in the churches' statistics because they have been babtized at birth.
It's close to impossible to officially leave the catholic church.
Most people ignore it and just don't attend sermons.

Poles are Christian and if they want crosses in public I don't see the problem. I'm American. We have separation and church and state in our Constitution so crosses in public buildings are inappropriate. Seems to be part of Polish culture to embrace Christian symbols. That being said, since Christ said nothing about LGBTQ+ people and he didn't preach hate, flying the rainbow 🌈 flag is ok. Poland wants to is a leader in the EU, and Poles seem to embrace Western culture that means being accepting of even peopled you don't agree with show great cultural maturity. I'm proud of Poland and the progress Poland it has made economically and politically. The kindness Poles showed Ukrainian's fleeing showed how wonferful the people and the country are. God bless the people and the country of Poland
