- The 11th of November, 2018, is one of the most important, emotional and compelling days in the history of Poland. Exactly 100 years to the day Poland regained its independence after 123 years of struggle and resistance. In that 100 years Poland again suffered at the hands of competing global powers. Again, Poles had to fight for their sovereignty and survival. The 11th of November is an important date for many nations. To Poland, it is sacrosanct. It means Poland regained. Poland Reborn. Poland Reawakened.
In this video of the #HeartofPoland show you will be in the centre of the festivities and celebrations marking this historic day. Your host, Patrick Ney, takes you on a tour of Warsaw’s streets as different organisations commemorate Poland’s independence. I am an Australian of part Polish descent who has visited Poland a number of times. I wish Poland the best for the future. My late father served with the Free Polish Forces in the West during WW11 and his father served in the Polish Army fighting the Bolsheviks during 1919 to 1920. But, I must say that it is a disgrace for sections of the Western media and commentators to defame Poland with blatant falsehoods, and even wilfully misreport this important event as some sort of ultra- right wing fascist march.
Thank God that there are some international journalists, such as the British producer of this video, who report objectively and truthfully about this important day for the Poles and about Poland generally, because unlike them many others don't, and engage in lies and hateful anti-Polonism. I will be in Gdansk this coming June and am looking forward to another big frosty glass of Tyskie to wash down my pierogi. Pozdrawiam Polskę, a może trwać do końca świata.

Norman Davies lost his mind... jest bardziej lojalny wobec kasy ze stypendiów jakie dostawał od liberałów niż wobec prawdy historycznej i logiki w myśleniu. Dla niego Marsz Niepodległości jest marszem faszystów. Człowiek jest stracony dla nauki.

Mazurzy, Słowińcy, Dziadoszanie, Serbowie Połabscy... prawdziwi Niemcy z Niemca i Niemki od pradziejów hehe Zgermanizowani "Niemcy" są najgorsi, np. Ślązaki co wyjechali do RFN, aby po miesiącu już "nix wersztejen po polsky", a po niemiecku ja i gut tylko.

No i zero wspomnienia o Marszu Niepodległości , pl. Piłsudskiego i zero wspomnienia o wydarzeniu na pl. Dmowskiego skąd rozpoczął się największy w naszej historii marsz Polaków.
Może Pani nie słyszała o tym, że wspomniałem o marszach

But I don't agree with you regarding JP, I am not the one who'd try to demonize this man, I know he had nice features like loving Polish poetry of Juliusz Słowacki or a heroic and tragic character of Romuald Traugutt, but all together JP brought about much evil upon Poland and there is nothing to thank him for.
If you can list what do you respect JP for I'd be grateful for.
