I love the flashiness and choreography. These guys are not just great players, they really make the effort to put on a show! God, all 4 of them just project JOY!!
Casiopea did prioritize entertaining the crowd, which is why a lot of their have the crowd interact with them. Like shouting, clapping, and phrases. Or they are dancing on stage. But a little cherry on top is that their all absolutely badass at their instruments
Yeah, it was my upbeat tune, at the beginning of the Eyes Of The Mind record from my dad when I was a kid :-) always loved it ! Nice profile pic btw ^^

It makes me so happy to see that. I wondered why I was starting to see so many Gen Z's commenting on Casiopea vids on YT until someone showed me the screencap of the guy's vinyl/tea story. I've dug 70's/80's smooth jazz, jazz fusion, funk jazz, etc. for years and stumbled upon Casiopea a while back. I now have "4x4" and "Eyes of the Mind" on vinyl. I really want "Mint Jams" but the internet popularity has driven the price up. I'm just happy to see younger people digging on cool old music. Check out some old instrumentals by Bob James, Idris Muhammad, or Grover Washington Jr. sometime. Not the same, but not too far different. Happy listening!
Have you ever listened to a song so good, you put off listening to it until a special time in your life just to associate it with said song? Asayake is that song for me. I hope to listen to this song while going on a drive or a walk in the streets of tokyo one day.
I knew Casiopea when I was in my early thirties, Casiopea became my favorite band and is my favorite band, and, of course, they will be my favorite band till the end of my life!!
Awesome thematic retro style....hugging the line of cheesy...but simply because it is so well composed and executed. The Yamaha DX7 really brings this song alive in a way that the older keyboards couldn't. Casiopea rocks!

My schools rock band played this the other night , the talent it took to play this and how good it sounds is unworldly

I (now 65 y/o) was totally fan of Casiopea in the days they were playing and releasing records.
I bought them all. Great musicians and nice tunes!
They're still active
@aSheepThatFlies ik, its not the same but still..
ITS CASIOPEA
That would be a cool record collection to buy.
