I was lucky enough to see Casiopea live in my hometown of Porto Alegre/RS, Brazil on 4/24 1987. It was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. As if their virtuosity weren't enough, you could tell thy were really enjoying themselves, and it was uplifting. They would even do a little choreography on some songs! Amazing! I feel really grateful for that one fantastic evening, and I hope they are all doing great.
Casiopea are extremely talented, don’t get me wrong, but what sets them apart from other fusion bands of the time is that their skill isn’t at the forefront, the music itself is. They aren’t showing off for the sake of showing off, they’re playing catchy, funky memorable tunes. Casiopea are entertainers first, and the fact that they’re really fucking good musicians is just the cherry on top.
All Casiopea's songs always still made me mind-blowing and relax. I'm a big fans of Casiopea from Indonesia. Casiopea always in my heart. They are live-legend fusion jazz band in the world. ♥♥♥♥♥
Eyes of the Mind is such a solid piece of songwriting, every single version of this song that they recorded was incredible. Casiopea shine so much as song writers on songs like this, and then we get guitar solos like this one just to remind us how insanely good they are at actually playing these songs too. Once in a generation band for sure.
@@MEOWNIST Well that's fusion jazz. The point is to mix all sorts of weird and wonderful instruments & compositional styles not commonly associated with more pure jazz. Fusion jazz is a more exploratory sub-genre & has no obligation to sound pretty or pleasing.
@@MrOzzification indeed but casiopea has a catchy thing, that unexp listener can listen to it, while hancock the either way... yeah u got it if u listen to their music
Heard this for the first time in December 2019. Safe to say that after non stop listening of their entire discography for the past months, these guys are my favorite artists by a LONG shot. Mukaiya and Sakurai are so inspiring to me I picked up playing keys and bass after YEARS. Thanks from the Netherlands, OP :)
absolute fantastic band.I remember I heared the whole concert on radio 1985 and recorded it on cassete. The band were really in topform at this concert.. so much energy. I must also say that the FM-sounds on Yamaha DX-7 really suits to this kind of music.
2:30-2:33 Somebody give Mukayia a damn microphone! He's back there singing like he actually know the words to the song. I cant read lips but I swear he's back there singing "I know how 'do it, too..."
Greetings from Italy.
When I listen to casiopea the tears Come, because their music is so perfect and beautiful. I'm happy to know this band, probably my second favorite in general.
I could listen to this all night and frequently do.

I’m super super jealous
im 14 and an aspiring musician. this is literally the sweetest music to ever grace my ears.
Stay with it no matter what dude. Keep the love alive.
@@ioioio13 that's actually really awesome to here. thank you. i will.
It's a good news 😁😁😁
The Alphas hell yeah
The Alphas do you listen to domi and jd beck? If not look up bc invaders on youtube
I love how expressive they are when they play. Makes me feel the funk alongside them.
🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎶🎶..👍🏽💥🤘🏽
Convinced that these 4 guys together were one of the most talented musical groups of all time.

Have you seen the video of them onstage with T-Square playing Fightman? It's even better with them altogether.
2024 but still listening!!!🗣️🗣️
We have reached peak happiness ladies and gentlemen
When you click subtitles on this, all it should read is "Love, talent, dedication, and Mukaiya"

Masters of the Jazz Fusion!!!
The best with T-Square and Herbie Hancock imo

You are absolutely right man, my respect! 👏
if you could release the cassette it would be really cool because the existing one we have is extremely low quality

Noro's guitar solos on this live performance are chilling. So powerful yet so effortless.
UNDFTDGordon the asayake solo or galactic funk are the best. But this performance carries so much feeling
Aaah that dx7 at the beginning. Goosebumps!
minoru is a God
That is why no matter how good a keyboard can be. DX7 is the synthesizer that inspired an entire generation of keyboards. It is totally unique.
Only discovered Casiopea this week... maaan where have I been... they are AWESOME!!

My absolute favorite band; I wish I could have been fortunate enough to see them live
Bad asses acting like fun loving guys. These guys, all of them, killed it.
Casiopea is AMAZING
0:33 what a solo keyboard!!!!! My god!!! , 🎹
He's a sassy saucy lad.
i always watch this video for that part
This is another level of keyboardist. The guy is amazing.
That mid-'80s Yamaha sound combined with absolutely top notch musicians.... GLORIOUS
Just the best band ever, the emotion and skill is so good to watch. in total control and loving it.
Mukaiya having the time of his life right here.
gila gila gila... ini lagu udah tahun jebot ciamik bener dah....... tarik mang!!!
Whenever I’m in a bad mood Minoro’s moves always brighten my day
The best intro end of the mind really
one of my fav bands. fantastic
This is the definitive version of this song, the keys give me goosebumps and I'm a guitar guy
same and I'm a drummer
Same and I’m a bassist
True, the album version seems lacking when you come back to it from listening to this
same and i play the skin fl00t
Same, and I'm deaf
Back in the day, when I had no clue life was finite..
Just found these guys tonight. Not heard funk like this since the peak of Dave Weckl
This is like the song you hear when you try to imagine an "80s vibe"
80s-90s Nintendo music :D Its sounds so damn nostalgic, more ppl need to hear this gem!
I am still listening to Casiopea in 2020. Brings great memories.
ADORED THIS TUNE! AWESOME RHYTHM SO TIGHT!!
I just discovered a whole new dimension of music…

I’m so happy I found minorus DX7 sounds online and now I’ve been doing so many covers of these songs
What! Really? I have a mighty need
Where did you found those? I'm also interesting in having his DX-7 sounds as well.
When I listen to casiopea the tears Come, because their music is so perfect and beautiful. I'm happy to know this band, probably my second favorite in general.
I like how the bassist and guitarist have the same straps.
UA-cam just recommended this to me. I really like it. Thanks for showing me more bands than Spotify.
It might be the most amazing thing I discovered in 2020.
Great videos. I remember when this was out on Laserdisc way back in 1985. Got to look for the DVD or Blueray now.
I love how they really make sure they show Mukaiya in this song
Sounds so good it's hard to believe it's a live footage from 1985
ikr they play better live than in the studio lol
I was at Basic School when I knew Cassiopeia music.. And my favourite 😍 until now
this is the best version just look at the face of Minoru Mukaiya jajajajajaaja
