Thanks Bruce... Yeah the transitions were sort of a new idea, I didn't realize how to do them perfectly until post.... So hopefully if I do them again they will be seamless.

Cool stool and video.......One trick- When you need to center something in a hole that doesn't fit tight (nut to mount plate) and you don't have the correct size bushing/spacer is just wrap the right amount of masking tape around the shaft until you get the desired fit. It's not the best solution but it does work in a pinch to locate center!
I considered that at one point, but I took the easy route... I was a little bummed when I saw the difference in contrast between the walnut I used for the segments and what I used on the seat portion.

I can’t imagine someone would pay you what your time is worth on something like this. I see at least two days plus materials into a project like this. That has to be over a grand?!
Thanks! Yeah, on pieces like this I don't even bother listing them as it would definitely be over $1k. This one took me the better part of a week to build, not to mention the week of editing. I figure I'll just start saving pieces like this for art exhibitions & such if I ever get the opportunity.
Dude... that video was slick. Really liked the music, and the way a lot of the shots seemed to time up nicely with it (not sure if that was intentional or not) was awesome. Some really nicely lined up shots too, it really shows all the extra work you've been putting into it all.
