Wow. Multi talented guy. Guy from a red planet!! Woodturning, metal welding, designing painting and video editing. Doing it alone! God bless you. Very clean and neat project. ❤️
Wow crazzzy talented! One of my favorite videos to watch!!! I've really enjoyed it! Your creativity and attention to detail is impeccable!! mind-blowing!! I just found my new fave Forme Industrious builder -seeing as I'm starting to venture into this myself, recycling motorcycle parts, blending with wood. Definitely a great inspiration to start with! Thanks so much for sharing. Bless.
I know I've said several times you have produced an amazing piece. This though was a project that allowed you to show your artistic licence, and you did. This has given me so much inspiration, thankyou. I cannot wait to get started with my TIG welder. Thanks Scott.
I guess im asking randomly but does any of you know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost the account password. I love any tricks you can give me!
@Milo Rocky i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Super cool, I got tired just to watch the first cut and grinding, as I dont have a plasma cutter, and well...grinding...but what a nice stool, I may do one if I ever gather the courage to grind. The feet resting pieces is the best, great design and realization.
Yep lots of work unless you have computer design expertise and CNC plasma etc, however all can be achieved by a bit of hard work and determination. Thank you!
Excelente trabajo que lastima estar lejos .y no poder ver tu trabajo en tiempo real felicidades nuevamente que ganas de aprender a trabajar así saludos desde Chile
Hi Scott.. Love the build, the detailing of the weld patterns, the mix of such beautiful timber with the metal and especially the way you formed the footpegs, not just plonking for bits of pipe welded on. A proper talking point in anyone's home. ;) Well done.!!
Thanks Horrrk. I try and push myself, use my imagination to do something a little different. Some of the tools I have these days sure do help. Love your comment, much appreciated, cheers!
I was pretty sure before, but now I know for a fact that I want to be Scott Turner when I grow up !!!! DOOOOOOOD !!!! Such an awesome and inspiring build :-)
I'm Gob Smacked! Thanks Bill, you're making me blush, and best advise I can come up with; don't grow up and always keep smiling! I'll look forward to hearing you again next week on Reclaimed Audio Podcast, meanwhile, all the best to K.C the Bearded Dragons and yourself. ;)
I, like many others, have come here via Tim. Great to see another Aussie maker. Gonna share this with my other metals teacher. He'll love it like I did. Subbed. Love the off-the-cuff work on the footrest
Hey there Luke! Cheers. I have a heap of those old hits on a compilation CD, which copes a flogging in my shed. All the best for your Blacksmithing, something I would love to try out one day.
Parabéns pela criatividade e prazer de fazer este projeto. ...suas ferramentas são ótimas e manuseia muito bem ... Ficou linda a banqueta. Gostei muito
Thank you!!! Needed to hear that :) My website should be up in the next month or so where I will have my builds for sale. The site name with be "Forme Industrious". Thanks for your comment.
brilliant use of the drill press as a wood lathe! I'll have to try that in my shop. And I agree, sometimes projects come together as you work on them. thanks
Gracias, tienes razón, es difícil de describir, pero casi tengo que formar parte de la creación para obtener la apariencia. ¡Saludos de Townsville, Australia!Thank you, you are right, it is hard to describe, but I almost have to become part of the creation to get the look and feel. Greetings from Townsville, Australia!
thanks for the reply. One question the welder that you used is a MIG with gas equipment? . I want to do jobs like you do. Which one do you prefer TIG OR MIG?
My welder is a MIG. I can use Gas or Flux core wire. This video I used Flux Core wire. I have recently changed to gas as it is so much better. MIG V TIG. Two different tools I suppose. I prefer MIG as it is fast and forgiving. TIG requires much more skill and is slower but TIG is great for light material. I also use TIG for Silicon Bronze Brazing. Can't do that with MIG. Hope that helps. If I had to only have one I would go MIG.
Scott, that quite the counter stool. It's a shame that you didn't have a wheel bearing to make the stool swivel. As to the "strait circle", my thoughts are maybe a consistent circle, or maybe an honest circle? I must say, that that's the first time I've seen a wheel cut apart to make a stool. Usually, when they are cut apart, it's to make a wider wheel.
