Moving to my neck of the woods! That's super exciting!! Jimmy's hammer turned out great, and I love my claw hammer. That thing drives a nail like no other. Let me know if you ever need a hand at the Bellingham shop!
That is truly beautiful work. I really like all the thought that went into your design. I had to chuckle a little at a blacksmith without a drawknife or spokeshave for making handles. Physician, heal thyself!
Thanks, and I most definitely have both tools, I've found that a wood rasp is the right compromise between speed and control and it doesn't leave little corners like my spokeshave.
That green handle with the dark fade is sick!!! Looks like a stellar hammer head on top of it as well. I'm not a wood worker, but I'm always in awe of your wood finishes.
Great video on the hammer process, cool that it was for Jimmy. Really looking forward to your move and new shop set up. Should be some really good content coming out of that as well. cheers!
Back with a BANG! Nice job, Zach, especially enjoyed the tunes! Congrats on leaving the heat of Florida. I’m in Houston and am now working on insulating and cooling the garage, hoping to get more shop time this year. Safe travels!
Congrats on the play button! I have a habit of browsing YT until I just end up watching blacksmithing videos, but this is the only one I subscribed to because the music is always great. Thanks for putting so much effort into your videos. Keep 'em coming!
Really great Hammer! My son is wanting to practice Neuro-surgery in Vancouver BC. I wanting to be close but not too close am thinking of Bellingham as well. I want to spend my days hangin' out in my shop building cool stuff out of cool stuff for cool people.
Really enjoyed the 2 camera angle at 1:54. I see what you explained to me now...about the square mark and the circle mark. Really good idea. That's a gorgeous hammer! I think the straw/gold color is probably my favorite that you do.
The Mighty THOR would be proud of these Magnificent Hammers, These hammers are going to two of my friends. Thank you, Zachary of ZH Fabrications,. You, Sir, are a great Artist / Craftsman / Blacksmith /Musician must I go on. Thank you for your Kindness to my friends.
It was awesome to finally get to see the entire hammer making process after seeing them on IG. The hammer looks great, and its impressive how you master many different skills just to produce one hammer. Congrats on the 100k and soon to be 150K!
On the Olympic Peninsula here bud and would love to come check the new plave out sometime, will be needing some tools down the road! Just found this page from watching Jimmy! Beautiful work!!! Looking forward to watching more content.
This is an amazing video. Everything is outstanding: the crafting, the editing, the music, the overall quality. I'm excited to keep watching your stuff. I hope your move goes well.
You are a master craftsman my friend! I just subscribed and ill watch every vid and hit that like button!! The look and sound that jimmy diresta made was that of pure joy!!!! Im a maker and a new fan of yours for sure. I just got done watching every single “make it extreme” video and ill be binge watching you tonight haha!!
Don't know if anyone else has said it, so I will, just in case: the third song, "Consuelo," is incredibly beautiful. You're a wonderful maker I wish I could meet (I left NC about a year ago), and clearly a talented musician. If you're in Spokane in the next few months, please, please reach out!
Those coal iron forging presses are like a true new american reinassance of forging... a true successor to little giant hammers. A forging hammer is like the only thing I don't want to build myself even though I've built many even complex power hammers but mostly for specific sheet metal work.
How kismet that you’re looking at Bellingham WA. If that pans out, that would be awesome. I’m looking at a place around Anacortes WA. Such a wonderful town for building boats.
Wig with your guitar, too classic mellow mood you're in! lol Good to see you back and Happy New Year to you too. I wanna thank you for the Closed Captions too also. Cool hammer you made most green stain on the wood, awesome! My fav is deep blue (blackish blue idea) I tried to find ya in Facebook, I clicked like on your page and haven't seen nor heard. Understood your had to do catching up list to do, priority thingy. Good to see ya here! I am not involve with instagram website. I'll catch ya elsewhere whatever gets my attention! Good journey Brother
Just found your channel and it’s already my favorite! As soon as I saw that Sailrite I was hooked. I am a welder and an avid sewer as well. I have the Sailrite ultrafeed lsz-1.
I knew you were doing your own thing just working the forge and figured you'd get back around to videos eventually. Of course I follow you on Instagram too and it's always cool to see what you're doing there. You really got these hammers down to a science. However, I really wanted to comment about the video. It was well worth the wait. You're still consistently one of my favorite makers to watch. Your videos have great editing, great music, and the occasional funny little touch like the wig, or the "asbestos." I really like how you've incorporated your own music and how you add in those snippets of video showing you playing guitar. I've gotten really interested in playing/building guitars recently, and I thought it'd been mostly due to watching Tim Sway's videos, but then I watched this and remembered that seeing you play guitar and make your own music is also partially to blame (take credit for?), my interest in learning to play and build guitars. Was wondering myself if I'd ever really need a ZH Fab hammer, and realized I could probably use a small ball peen for rivet stuff with leatherworking. Maybe I'll be in touch at some point down the road. Anyway, thanks for continuing to put out great, artistic content, and best of luck in 2019.
hey friend I really like your work forged you are very good at that and in the music equal. I hope you keep riding more videos. Greetings from Venezuela

This guy is talented! Who else has the balls to do blacksmith work in shorts and tee shirt. I love it!
That is truly beautiful work. I really like all the thought that went into your design. I had to chuckle a little at a blacksmith without a drawknife or spokeshave for making handles. Physician, heal thyself!

Oh cool, we were told Ferndale is a viable option as well, but I really want to be in the woods, and Ferndale seems a bit more farmish
This is impressive on so many levels. Seriously inspiring!
