Hi Kayley! I'm a longtime follower and around the same age as you, so that may bias my opinion, but personally, I loved the length of this video! I really enjoy your tutorial content of this style. If you have stuff that fits naturally into the shorter length form, then go for it, but I'm glad you didn't cut this one down to a minute. Also, I don't use the "vertical video app" 😂 so I would love if you cross-post everything to here 😊
I'm with you and Kayley: short videos are fine for quick tips and tricks, but I need the in-depth walk-throughs on new styles and techniques. This video is a great length!
I don’t really consume short form content. But for something like this I definitely think actually showing a how to is helpful. Too many people see a one minute video, can’t recreate it themselves and get discouraged. This had actually useful tips
To answer your question, I love this length of video for hair tutorials. I never feel like I get enough for it to be useful when I search for things on TikTok! Favorite current Sabrina Carpenter song is probably Juno or Please, Please, Please.
I like short form for inspiration but I love the longer form like this for real tutorials and I love seeing more of your personality and little chats in these videos.
Dear Kayley, I have no need for any hair content, the likelihood of me getting up the energy to do anything other than put my hair in a lackey is insanely low. But I love your videos, I love listening to you explain things, your videos are so relaxing and give me some peace and kindness. Please don’t disappear into short, impersonal, snappy content. Some is a joy, but not all. Please 🙏🏻
Kayley, you look beautiful! I love the color of your hair now. I’m around your age and have been watching you for years. I highly prefer your long form videos to shorts. I get more hearing you talk longer and really demonstrate what you are doing. Plus, I just love hearing your happy self share more about your passion.
So excited to see a new video from you! I so miss my university era because you were such a big part of my life and every new video made me so happy! I still find myself rewatching videos from years and years ago. I have a video request if you don’t mind - I have been wanting to try out budget-friendly synthetic wigs ($20-90) and clip in extensions to wear out to change up my looks and match them to my outfits without ruining my own hair. But they can be tricky to make look good. But you are the hair expert and who would be better to attempt to style something that can seem pretty rough out of the box! It would be such a fun challenge if you did just that - tried to style cheap wigs in ways that would not be embarrassing to wear out in public! ❤
I really like long form hair tutorials. I attribute the shift towards simple hairstyles trending to short form content, which can be good at times but overall is boring. Long form hair content tends to have more information and hairstyles that have personality rather than the same three things over and over again. I loved this video!
Hi Kayley, I really appreciate the long form content because it's something I can always come back to and learn from! I'm a low maintenance hair person but I love learning from your videos. Hoping you can do an update on hair dryers and technique to dry your hair without hairs sticking up at the top of your head haha
I love longer videos, I usually sit down in the afternoons to chill with tea and watch a few longer videos from channels I try to keep up with, yours being one 💕 It’s the highlight of my day when I get the notification that you’ve posted a new video
I swear, are you psychic?! I literally wanted to do a sabrina carpenter look for my husband's birthday and have been looking for a tutorial. And then, on the day of right before I'm about to get ready, you posted this video. I am so grateful!! You always come through for me!! Thank you for always teaching in way i understand. Also I prefer long form for your hair tutorials. And fav sabrina song is please please please, but I've been listening to juno and bed chem on repeat lately.
I love long form content from my favorite youtubers like you because it feels like a hangout instead of short form that just leads to scrolling, isn't an intentional watch and doesn't make me feel good! I'm not really in the fandom but my favorite Sabrina Carpenter song is honestly Buy Me Presents, the best modern Christmas song imo!!
Oh yes. Im so obsessed with her looks!! This video is totally up my alley, a super in depth thorough beauty tutorial , and you have a lovely personality!
haven't watched one of your tutorials in a minute (life is busy), but just hearing your voice literally brought me back to when you taught me how to do complex braids (neither of my parents really did hair, so I learned off videos like yours). Seriously such a comforting memory, thank you for all that you do!
Wow wow what a helpful, in-depth video - can't wait to try this out! Yes please to posting the bangs video on YT & I definitely prefer the longer videos over the shorter ones!!
Beautiful work! I appreciate all the learning details. I'm just starting to get back into styling my hair more often, and your videos are so informative. I definitely prefer the longer content with explanations.
I like the long videos because I can never get enough! Therapeutic to watch hair tutorials especially. Hoping for the Christmas gift and hairstyle videos this year! Always my faves!
I am a long time viewer and love the longer video content. It's so much more in-depth and I learn so much more. Thank you for everything you do, I love your videos 💞
I'm here for your videos rather than S.C., since years. Thank you for taking the time to explain and take into account different types of hair. I prefer so much more this size of video (12 to 30 min) because I get enriched by watching them, learning stuff, instead of zapping / sliding from one vacuous short to the next, too short to really bring anything, esp. when these short formats are cut so as to leave out any useful parts (how to attach this strand, what to do when that thing happen, etc.).
Loved this, it was so helpful. I've been trying to go for this look recently since I've gotten curtain bangs again. I like both long and short videos, depending on what the content is. I loved the length of this video - seeing the step by step and hearing your knowledge about why to choose certain irons or products.
OG green wall girly. When I see one of my faves posted a long video, I get SO excited! I'm a "put youtube on while I multitask" person and long video = I can set and forget it!
I was upset my lunch didn't cook faster when i got the notification. It's my favorite notification! A new Kayley Melissa video. I like the long content. I can fast forward if i need to.
Hey Kayley, I love that you still do long form, I learn so much more and it’s so helpful! I am wondering if you can link your curler, rollers and clips
Hi Kayley, thank you for another great video. I like long form for tutorials- I learn so much! Like some others have said, I don’t search out short content but I do enjoy seeing a quick Instagram post clueing me in to a new video. Hope that helps.
I felt this coming and now I feel good that you did the research for us. Absolutely love how you explain the tricks and tips. You would always be my person for hairstyles and cute accessories. ♥️ For the content, 💯 agree on the longer content. You can make few longer videos (when you have technical stuff to explain alongside the tutorial), and you can make short content for smaller or quick and easy hairstyle hacks.
Heyyyy happy holidays! Love seeing you! Thanks for the tutorial, I actually like both, short and long, short to see if I’m interested and long to actually do it
Definitely longer videos! I watch for you too, not just the hair. I watch them even though I am in the process of growing out a pixie and can't replicate it on my own hair😅
Kayley and her amazing timing! First the christmas hair 2023 (praying for the annual xmas 2024 video) and now THE sabrina carpenter curl tutorial right after I asked for the cut and have been struggling to find a consistent way to style my bangs. As much as I do love short form content I also love to learn as much as possible to see what works and doesn’t work with my hair because everyones’ hair type is different. I found that the doom scroll app is great for tips and tricks and troubleshooting but 10+ minutes are what I go to when I am trying to learn something. I will watch an hour long video to learn something so do what makes you happy! Ive seen content creators who use both forms of media make long videos on youtube then edit the footage down to 3 minutes for the other app and like the youtube video in the caption so that people get the short term content and those that do want a more in depth video can then go watch the long form content. Have been here since the high school bedroom and dark green background days and its been great growing into adulthood with tutorials that feel like a big sister teaching me how to my hair and makeup
The VeggieTales reference at the end 😂 I always sing that song to myself when I'm looking for my hairbrush. I don't have to patience or time to spend this long on a hairstyle, but I watched to the end! It's fun to see you explain the process.
I like a video this length! I like getting all the details, tips, and tricks, and your explanations of why you're doing what you're doing. 15-20 minutes is my current sweet spot for YT videos. Also, the fake bangs look AMAZING!! I bought some for my Haloween costume but I've been wearing them a lot because they're just so fun!! Also I caught the VeggieTales reference ;)
In depth hair please! I have learned so much from you over the years. For me it's all the small tricks that you add in. The "how to fix this" tips are what make all the difference!
Longer videos, please! I always like to sit down and spend time watching my favourite creators. Short-form videos don't hold the same appeal as talk-through tutorials.
You added value is the way you teach and explain things!! So I'd say keep the long videos as well as short if you're comfy making that content. My fave Sabrina song is please please please btw
I loved loved loved the video. I think long form is great since you have so much knowledge and tips that actually make a big difference in the outcome of the style. I believe you could use these little tips also for shorts. Then again, the long form gives a lot of context on how to prep your hair and when to do thus step. Example: adding in curls away from the face in this hairstyle. All in all biiig kudos Kayley and thank you. A long time fan
Kayley, I am so excited to see an upload from you! 💕 I personally prefer long-form content because it allows you as the creator to address topics and tutorials at whatever depth (or breadth) is appropriate. There is so much that gets omitted in short-form content! Plus, I love putting on long-form videos while I am cooking or doing chores for learning/entertainment while I work. Short-form content doesn’t work well for multitasking. Just my two cents!
I see many people do the 1 mins and also link to the long form also. I do miss your long vids and have learned a ton from your longer vids, especially the braid ones 😊
Sabrina Carpenter has been a newer love for me too! Been obsessed with her these last two years. Favorite songs are bed chem, juno, and sharpest tool (right now) hehe
What helps me is having longer, informative videos BUT having chapters so I can skim through and review different parts more easily! (Btw the chapter times on this one are off lol) Love this tutorial, thank you!!

Ditto

Ditto to this!! This video is a fabulous length and I love Kaylee's explanation!
Love the longer videos!!! So informative, useful and most of all entertaining!!!! Don’t stop please, we’ve missed you!!!
Kayley holiday videos?! 🎄Yes please 🤩 so good to see you Kayley 💜🙏
So good to be here!!
I don’t really consume short form content. But for something like this I definitely think actually showing a how to is helpful. Too many people see a one minute video, can’t recreate it themselves and get discouraged. This had actually useful tips
I love your longer videos! I couldnt do a ponytail on myself before starting watching you and I love how easy you make it to learn hairstyles✨
I love having long form videos for hair! It helps with the learning curve SO MUCH more!! No one explains things the way you do!!!!
I never clicked on this video so fast. Thank you for your video Kayley Melissa.
When I tell you I ran to youtube when i got the notification
Thank you so so much!!
@@kayleymelissaYou're so welcome.

When you’re bored, lazy, and unmotivated and see a new Kayley Melissa video on your feed!!!!! 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
Yeeeess! And it's her classic video style! Feeling safe and nostalgic and happy with Kayley 😍😍😍
I rarely, if ever, consume short form content and always love a longer video with a step-by-step breakdown!
I really like long form hair tutorials. I attribute the shift towards simple hairstyles trending to short form content, which can be good at times but overall is boring. Long form hair content tends to have more information and hairstyles that have personality rather than the same three things over and over again. I loved this video!
I really appreciate the longer content videos. Missed you! Glad you’re back. ❤
When it comes to hair or makeup, I need all the long content. I almost need that step by step. Haha. Your videos have always been so informative!!
Hi Kayley, I really appreciate the long form content because it's something I can always come back to and learn from! I'm a low maintenance hair person but I love learning from your videos.
Hoping you can do an update on hair dryers and technique to dry your hair without hairs sticking up at the top of your head haha
That pink velvet top is so beautiful on you, Kayley! Thanks for the fun video!

Kayley Holiday videos are always superior!!!! ♥️ Love Sabrina so this is amazing! Thank you 🎄
Beautiful work!
This is super cute! Thank you for gracing us with a new video; what an unexpected delight. ❤
Long form all the way! Your tutorials are the greatest.
I am a long time viewer and love the longer video content. It's so much more in-depth and I learn so much more. Thank you for everything you do, I love your videos 💞

I’m also a newer listener and Espresso has been my jam lol but I am a long content girly. It’s so good to see you back making videos! Missed ya! 😘
Thank you for making this as informative as possible, it’s one thing to watch and learn but to be taught and explained to definitely helps us all ❤
Loved this, it was so helpful. I've been trying to go for this look recently since I've gotten curtain bangs again. I like both long and short videos, depending on what the content is. I loved the length of this video - seeing the step by step and hearing your knowledge about why to choose certain irons or products.
I’m a longtime viewer! This video is the perfect length in my opinion! Going to try this look out today ❤
I really like the longer video! Shorter I might watch but I won't ever try, but longer is something I can actually use!
Oh, I SO miss your long form content!!!!!!! Please give us more! 🙏🏻 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I honestly hate most short form content and think it has ruined instagram especially. Long form like this video length is perfect
As a very long time viewer (the green curtain days) I love the longer videos still! Like you say, you learn better. Hope long covid eases soon x
Loved it!! My favorite Sabrina song is Sue Me ❤
I prefer longer videos because I love learning from you, but do what’s best for you!
Definitely longer videos! I watch for you too, not just the hair. I watch them even though I am in the process of growing out a pixie and can't replicate it on my own hair😅

I've just got bangs similar to this clip-in and was in need for some styling advice. 🤗 Thank you Kayley, as always ❤
Been here since forever! And yes I love your long content! I’m a mess hairstyling so you are my teacher 🙌🏻
The VeggieTales reference at the end 😂 I always sing that song to myself when I'm looking for my hairbrush.
I don't have to patience or time to spend this long on a hairstyle, but I watched to the end! It's fun to see you explain the process.
I love long form content ❤ and your tutorials because I learn 😊
Love the long content! My fav is “Please Please Please!”
I like a video this length! I like getting all the details, tips, and tricks, and your explanations of why you're doing what you're doing. 15-20 minutes is my current sweet spot for YT videos. I love both short form and long form content so it would be great if you started posting shorts along with your long videos!
I like both long and short form! The curls look great!
Yayyyyyy!! This look is so you! 💕
In depth hair please! I have learned so much from you over the years. For me it's all the small tricks that you add in. The "how to fix this" tips are what make all the difference!
I saw the notification and clicked so fast! I love long form videos
I will watch anything you post, but I like these longer videos for tutorials!
Longer videos, please! I always like to sit down and spend time watching my favourite creators. Short-form videos don't hold the same appeal as talk-through tutorials.
This is a great length for a tutorial!! Love!it
Omg I needed this video!! Thank you!
Do both!! And plug the longer video in the short one! 😊 I think doing short form is a great way to reach more than just your subscribed audience! ❤
I really enjoy both. I'm a licensed cosmetologist, and it's incredibly helpful when you break everything down.🙏🏼
I very much want long form like this for hair videos! I miss your long videos ❤
I prefer longer videos. it's very helpful when you share your knowledge with us ❤
You added value is the way you teach and explain things!! So I'd say keep the long videos as well as short if you're comfy making that content.
My fave Sabrina song is please please please btw
I love both long form and short form! Depending on the type of content
Our girl is back!!!💕💕💕❤️❤️❤️
I loved loved loved the video.
Would love to see a short video & then a link to a longer video for more info!!
Please keep the videos longer! I need to see the how-to in depth. Thank you for this video btw 💜.
Love long form, when it comes to learning a technique especially. I'm just a fan of long content in general though short form has it's moments too.
I love a mixature of both short and long videos.
love vicious
Kayley, I am so excited to see an upload from you! 💕 I personally prefer long-form content because it allows you as the creator to address topics and tutorials at whatever depth (or breadth) is appropriate. There is so much that gets omitted in short-form content! Plus, I love putting on long-form videos while I am cooking or doing chores for learning/entertainment while I work. Short-form content doesn’t work well for multitasking. Just my two cents!
I see many people do the 1 mins and also link to the long form also. I do miss your long vids and have learned a ton from your longer vids, especially the braid ones 😊
I prefer longer videos. Love seeing you again ❤❤
Sabrina Carpenter has been a newer love for me too! Been obsessed with her these last two years. Favorite songs are bed chem, juno, and sharpest tool (right now) hehe

I new Kayley Melissa video! Yay! 😍💕💕
Long form and in depth!!! always ❤
Yes, long-form hair tutorials, please! I need the detail. =)
