Unfortunately, mine is growing in white! I was a toe head as a little girl, it grew into a dirty blonde in school, then dark blonde as an adult. For the past 15 years, I have been fighting gray/white coming in, but not in the front where the money piece normally goes, so the front had dark roots. The crown and temples are white. As an ex-stylist, I have been coloring it blonde myself for decades, but now I don’t know what the heck to do. I will be 58 in a few months, as reference.

My hair stylist tripled her pricing in 2018 from $100 ish to $350 to elevate her clientele & decrease her hours. At that point, I only would pay attorneys that much, so I asked her to put my hair color to the roots. I love my color! She said I had greys. I still only have 2-4 grey hairs max & I’m 55. Love natural!

Yay I'm on trend, letting my natural virgin hair grow out and getting a blunt cut on long natural hair. I went out with the girls a couple of weeks ago and had my hair up, they told me to let my hair down, and they loved it! I have spent years taking good care of my hair, this is the first time it has ever been this long ever! It is not stringy it's light and bouncy healthy and shiny and strong, and last week I trimmed my ends myself, in hopes that it will look perfect for Christmas!

I dyed my hair & covered my gray for 20 years or so until my scalp started to tingle, itch & burn when the chemicals/dye would sit on & soak into my scalp for 30 minutes while it processed. It took almost a year for me to realize I was having a reaction to the chemicals in the dye. I’ve been dye free for 2 years now. My scalp is so healthy & my hair has stopped falling out. Thankful for the dye while I thought I needed it, but now I am thankful for the freedom to be me. Do what makes you feel the best!!

I think your predictions are right on because they are exactly what I have been seeing for the last year or two. I'm sad to see the beachy waves go out, but I do like the big loose blow-out waves. The other thing I'm still seeing a lot is the no heat curls where you sleep in that tube looking thing at night. Those loosen quickly and give that blowout look if you have long, heavy hair.

Hi loved your video. And I, too, am leaning towards the French bob. I use a Demi perm color because I need a lift. At age 70 only about 30% Gray but my other hair has lost color. Used to be a red head and I feel washed out without some color. I also prefer more natural styling but my 3a fine hair is very unpredictable in the front. frustrating.

I enjoy the easyness of my curly hair but i hate how heavy it feels ... is there a cut or something i can do?

You could try an airdry cream vs a curly hair product. Sometimes they are lighter and don’t weigh the hair down

I'm that person who watches these to see what new trends to avoid because I hate looking like all the basics out there. This tells me that in 2025 I'm going with a medium shag in a mahogany color.

Less-to-no maintenance is my MO. Whatever I can do to get there, I will make it happen. Then, it'll be smooth-sailing from there.

What would you recommend for someone with thick course frizzy hair? As far as cut and style?

is it possible to just have my dyed brown hair, lightened to grey ? The grow in process seems like a trip to hell. If I could just have it lightened and colored grey and go from there, it would be awesome.

I have planned Balayage light brown with beige for January 3rd. Crazy... my consultation appointment with the hairdresser was on December 10th...🤣

If you had a brown hair and you want that like copper light you can make tea with onion peel and apply after the conditioner looks lovely and there is no smell.

Honest, I’ve been a hairstylist for 15 years and I’m really in a gray. I’ve been into it ever since Julie Christy in the movie away from her and of course I followed Jack Martin, and even before he was famous, I was transitioning people to their grey hair. I started growing out mine for the past six months And I’ve tried every variation from we used to color touch with 13% to deposit only with 7% and using say style edit or color, wow powder on the roof to give it that depth, but many variations and people not wanting to see any line of demarcation as well as wanting to preserve their hair color by waiting for at least or their Hair health by waiting for at least 3/4 of an inch growth. This is the hardest and dark hair by the way.
Anyway, I started slowly swaying from 5% to 7% to 10% volume and now 13 and even though it’s still deposit only I just feel like I’m not a half assign my look.. and I’m not making my roots and hair, frizzy, math and dry, which no matter which way you do it the best hair powder still do. There are some styles and skin tones and hair eye color tones that the silver looks good on and certain phases of life for example, if you’re very, very young or very, very old or if you have if you have really dark skin if you’re Asian, specially, if you have warm tone, skin and brown eyes if you cool tone and blue or green eyes, it works as well and I don’t know what the rules are, but sometimes you just need sliver of color in there to make it look visually interesting
Think the main point in growing out your hair silver though is not having to do roots or girls every three weeks or sure there because this is a hassle you only look good the first three days you do it and ends up, damaging your hair because of inevitable overlap so they’re always accents you can do but if most of your hair is dark or there’s salt and pepper and some more gray spots. There are a lot of looks at this just doesn’t look good on. I went back to a neutral brown deposit only but still I had to go back and I do my hair a lot less frequently now.

Where I live, I feel like we've been on the natural hair trend for a couple of years now. I've been seeing the blended blond and browns for a while. My daughter does the blended blond. We get it done ince a year. It costs about $400 with the tip.
